Look up fixed foveated rendering using either openxr toolkit or quad views, whichever your game supports. You will gain a good boost to your fps. DLSS also works fine on top of that.
@@simonoregan4744 No it is not. Foveated rendering lowers the resolution at the sides of the picture where you're not looking unless you move your eyes away from the centre. It makes a big difference. You just got to fiddle with the settings until you find what works for you the best.
Would be nice for 72hz-mode, too! And later for Pimax Crystal Super with 3840px resolution, to then upscale from 2880 to 3840 to get sharper image than crystal light but with more fps than native 3840. Because I guess that even the new Rtx 5090 cant handle the full 3840px with 90 fps in demanding games.
Would be cool to have this with the original pimax crystal. Not sure if it can be turned on with eye tracking or not? I just assume they want to make the Crystal Light to run better and hopefully bring it to the original crystal. I’m very interested in the sim trucking, that looks like a big difference.
@@kangjames2492 I'm still waiting on the features originally promised for the Crystal. They can be as innovating as they want to be, but they failed to deliver. "Jaap from Pimax (this honest guy who, contrary to Pimax marketing, tells the truth even if its a bad news) informed on Discord that upscaling won't be implemented for the original Crystal. Seems to me that Crystal Light is finally the revenue generator for Pimax due to the right feature/price balance. Probably Pimax doesn't expect much more sales of the original Crystal so they decided to abandon the development for it (no upscaling, WideFoV lenses delayed to some unknown date, wireless module delayed, AIO mode/ecosystem completely abandoned)."

Waiting for Pimax Super....
Congratulations?
Thanks for the video, I hope it will be available on the OG crystal to ! If you can test msfs, don't hesitated 😄
Im impressed, Pimax is introducing some useful features
dutch abracadabra, I love it! Bedankt voor de info !
looks promising
Can't wait!
This is cool. I wish this was available for the Quest 3 as I run a Quest 3 for PCVR with a RTX 3080 rig and could use the boost.

Isnt this the same as reprojection? Use the Oculus Debug Tool and set Asynchronous Spacewarp.

I upgraded from the Q3 to Crystal Light best decision I've made. Was never a fan of the data compression issues that came with Q3.
Will the upscaling come to 60hz, too? Very important for me because I cant run 90hz with my old Rtx 3090
Can you confirm if you can also use motion reprojection/smart smoothing in combination with the upscaling? thanks.

Hi great video, does anyone know if there is a VR settings guide for the PCL and ETS2 ? cheers
should we not use pimax XR runtime and open xr tool kit anymore?
why is this not released for the more expensive Crystal (Original) - this is crazy....
Wow!
I wonder if you downscale resolution so you have the same fps as you would with the upscale from native. If the image quality is the same

I was told at Pimax Discord community that it would support Pimax Crystal later.
hoeveel heb je dan in een drukke server in dcs? want dit krijg ik ook in mn quest 3 single mission ?
Why is not available for the Pimax Crystal?
I'm sure it will be for both when they release it.
@@kangjames2492 I wouldn't hold your breath on this...🤔
@Tatsukoa808 Pimax is probably the only completely truly dedicated to VR and is constantly innovating and delivering whether you like them or not.

DCS has upscalers built in. I suppose it's good for games that don't.
What do you mean? DLSS? He stated in the video that this is working better than DLSS.

lets see how this works on EA sports WRC... then ill believe
I believe nothing can help with performance on that game 😂
tank you
Bro, you are using a $2000 GPU and you cant crack 90hz at native resolution. That's not good.
