This is just another example of nearly a lifetime’s worth of not being held accountable for one’s actions, or at least not having those skeletons being revealed due to said one’s star power. Feeling like persecution &/or betrayal when it all comes out. Ric flair is one of my favorite wrestlers & wrestling personalities. And there is no debate on the impact he made in the business of professional wrestling. But, when your star burns out, the skeletons come out. You can only hide the truth for so long. Unfortunately for Ric, this is just, once again, nearly a lifetime of “passes” finally coming to fold. What, 40 plus years? More? Be humble and a good human my friends. Because when entertainment businesses such as professional wrestling inevitably realize they can’t squeeze another dime out of your name. The protection dies. Hell, that goes for almost every industry.
In all honesty god bless both Ric Flair and Jim Ross... Obviously they are both legends... But the hard cold truth for both of them is that Ric Flair had no business having that last match, just like Jim Ross has no business being on commentary anymore...
You don’t really age out of commentary. Ric is just full of shit, and nobody really cares about keeping his friendship anymore because he’s never been loyal to anyone in his life. Jim Ross was released from his contract when he had too much respect to kick a drunken Flair off the stage at the WWE 2K14 press conference. If Ric has suggestions for Ross's career, he can buy some award winning BBQ sauce and write in the comment box.
All I have to say on this is that, JR will never be irrelevant, most wrestlers will be for forgotten eventually, but people will always remember JR anytime they witness something special, as far as everything else, it's between Ric and Jim
Wait. He's trying to blame JR for almost getting a divorce again? Didn't he leave his wife to go out drinking? I'm not saying JR is without fault. I'm not familiar with what was actually said by him. But how many people has Flair hung out to dry? What about Madden? It's kinda hard to play innocent victim when he's guilty of the same thing and even played a role in getting JR fired.
As usual ric the comment wasn't about you but you made it about you. Jim Ross is relevant and doesn't need to say outlandish and do outlandish things like you do to stay in the lime light. You've said yourself you're a good wrestler but you're not a good man. And most people will agree with that. Jim Ross is a good man
You know how they say never meet your heroes, and the reason is because you'll always be let down by them in real life. Ric Flair and Jim Ross are both perfect examples of that.
So now Flair has had a falling out with Arn Anderson, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Mark Madden, Tully Blanchard and Jim Ross. Flair is the problem not those people.
If Ric did those things is JR wrong for telling it? Is he wrong for saying what several other people saw? Where does the fantasy stop and the reality begin? The way Ric comes off is as he has one foot in fantasy and the other in reality.
Remember the old saying, "If you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing at all." Dark Side of Wrestling is Selective Justice and a bunch of Marks looking for a rating. Flair, Arn, Eaton, Taylor, and even Landel got me over and I will always thank them for wising me up. I witnessed Flair get so many of the workers over.
Dark side is great for entertainment purposes but if you're looking for that fact finding truth then look elsewhere. The plane ride from Hell episode was just the latest in many they've done were they omit certain facts and bend the truth with creative editing
Ric flair is the type of person that asks a rhetorical question but still waits in anticipation for you to answer just to make sure you reinforce his opinion
Last time I went to vote, I ran into so many of these kinds of people. It used to be you only talked to one person, the ballot giver and maybe a “thank you” to the processor. People talk too damn much. People say a lot of nothing.

Sooo, JR tells the truth about Ric Flair, and Ric Flair demands an apology. Serious? Ric thinks he is so bad ass and knows all the dirt. No, no you do not Ric Flair. You may have been in the know once upon a time, but not anymore. You are not 25 years old anymore, Flair. You are a 70+-year-old grandpa on the outside looking in and wishing for your glory days. Why is it so hard for Flair to age with dignity?
Conrad really comes off as partial here. He's unwilling to acknowledge that Jim Ross might have done something shady or may be a scum bag. He refused to even hear it. He lost some credibility there.
Well it's not Jr's fault that Flair keep acting crazy not to mention that Darkside of the Ring episode was put together to be over controversial because that's all that matters for those guys
There’s so many things wrong with this I don’t even know where to begin 😂 bottom line is though JR is still relevant to professional wrestling despite what Ric thinks.
The only real problem with what Ross said was that if he were really a friend, he would have said this to Ric's face a long time ago and if he couldn't handle it, Fuckem! Ric has a lot of nerve talking about being desperate for relevancy. He's practically redefined this concept. He's hopeless. He has all of these relationships end up the way they do but never seems to recognize the common denominator. Unfortunately, It seems Conrad is falling into the same trap. You can tell he completely disagrees but for whatever reason doesn't want to challenge Flair the way he should.
Jim Ross LOST HIS JOB b/c Flair got PISS DRUNK and ruined a live Q&A where WWE was about to sign a lot of corporate sponsors. Flair is wrong on this one.

You can clearly see the pain that episode caused Ric. I'll be glad to watch the documentary and finally hear his full side of the story. Everyone deserves to defends themselves.
Yeah, it'll be good to hear Flair say that he NEVER exposed himself to women or cornered them for sex. The Johnny Depp trial is a textbook example of this.
@DarwinAward What does "red pill shit" has to do with anything? I'm talking about facts here, everybody is innocent until proven guilty and that's the bottom line, this isn't my opinion. But since you wanna talk about assumptions and probabilities, let's do it. Flair is indeed known for doing the stupid naked robe shit, and there are accounts of him doing it even in other occasion. But assuming that him doing this also means that he'd be willing to rape someone, is one massive leap in logic. One can be a pervert who likes to show off his cock without being a rapist. Now let's be very clear here, I'm not excluding the possibility that the lady could be telling the truth. What I am saying is that there's not nearly enough evidence here to crucify Flair like you guys are doing. People like you guys are the reason why so many Americans spend years in jail only to get released when the justice system finally figures out that they were innocent. Some aren't so lucky, they get in the death row before being found innocent. Have some empathy. This kind of injustice exists, and can happen to you or one of your loved ones too. We can't be so quick to burn people at the stake. And the guy who wrote the first comment wasn't even defending Flair, he got blasted for merely wanting to hear his side of the story.
Ric Flair is the greatest in ring wrestler in my 50+ years. Very few wrestlers have influenced pop culture more the Flair. He is without a doubt one of my all time favorites. All that said, it's sad that all he has left is still living the gimmick of being "The Nature Boy Ric Flair" Look around and see who he's actually got left in his life after a lifetime of wrestling. He's alienated almost everyone by his words and deeds, and the very few left I dare say have a lesser view of him than they did in the past. I'll still watch these posts, and will always look at Ric as "The Man", but damn, at what point will he realize he's not long for this world and be at peace with those around him.
There were many guys I'd consider better in the ring. Angle, Hart, Benoit, Guerrero, Danielson, Styles, Michaels, Perfect, just to name a few. Ric in his prime was great though.
The thing that really sucks about this is that Jim Ross seems to be so depressed since his wife died that he doesn't need any more shit and his bitterness comes from a place of pain. Ric of all people could probably understand that if he thought about it for a couple minutes.
I just watched that episode twice and the comments was this: "He's the life of the party and if you know him, you know where to exit the party and go to your own safe place. Or, you don't know the rules and you find yourself in deep water and that may have happened." Like most people, flair doesn't want to take responsibility for his own actions. He should have never acted in the manner that he did as a "professional" . Would he want his two daughters exposed to behavior like that from someone on a flight???

His wife and grandkids are disappointed that Jim said the stuff that Ric did or that Ric DID the stuff?
Ric Flair is coming across badly here. I don't think anyone who appeared on The Dark Side of the Ring said anything unfair, or inaccurate, or even embillished. I believe the air attendant when she describes Ric's robe incident. We have multiple people corroborating the same story. Ric ought to have accepted that he behaved in a innapropriate manner, that he feels embarassed, or whatever else he could say. Ric lashing out angrily only speaks to his poor character. It makes me believe that any other story that paints him negatively is accurate. When Ric asks how his grandchildren might've felt when Dark Side came out, that's a question he should have reflected on before engaging in the behavior he so throughly is embarassed by.
How long before Ric’s bashing the WWE again? Going to the anniversary now, but it won’t be long before someone doesn’t bow to Ric and he’s shitting on the WWE and his friends who tried to help him again, and again, and again…
Stevie Wonder can see that Naitch is still hurt by this. I'm waiting for the new doc to drop when Flair responds to the Dark Side allegations, but having that many people corroborate a story is something that deserves an answer.

I respected JR for owning up to his part in the plane ride from hell. That's what I think it was. He looked the other way when that stewardess was harassed/assaulted. Probably many other times too. When he was asked about it, he admitted it.

I see why jr said sometimes you need to walk away from flair or whatever he said, Flair became a liability at that moment. Flair is coming off as a bitter old man here.
Ross is not the only one who spoke of Flair's actions on that plane.
Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam did. Dreamer was an ass about it though.
The bad thing about these podcasts that wrestlers do is sometimes they seem very bitter and miserable.

All I have to say on this is that, JR will never be irrelevant, most wrestlers will be for forgotten eventually, but people will always remember JR anytime they witness something special, as far as everything else, it's between Ric and Jim
Regardless of Jim Rosses opinion he had a voice that made the attitude era what it was, spectacular , shocking, and very extraordinary!

I'm not saying JR is without fault. I'm not familiar with what was actually said by him. But how many people has Flair hung out to dry? What about Madden? It's kinda hard to play innocent victim when he's guilty of the same thing and even played a role in getting JR fired.
Bob Caudle from Mid Atlantic was the most underrated announcer ever. He was also the best I ever watched in my 50 plus years watching wrestling.

Ric Flair spent an hour in a shoot interview with Highspots talking about his financial problems back in 2008.
Flair made his own bed. Period. Can’t turn the tables when you fd up
Conrad looks so uncomfortable lol
You know how they say never meet your heroes, and the reason is because you'll always be let down by them in real life.
Ric Flair and Jim Ross are both perfect examples of that.
Well I met flair he was really cool . One time he did seem hung over but the second time he was really cool and gave .e two autograph s
I met Flair and he let me down but I don’t let that dismiss his past accomplishments in the wrestling business though.
So now Flair has had a falling out with Arn Anderson, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Mark Madden, Tully Blanchard and Jim Ross. Flair is the problem not those people.
it's amazing how easily it is for ric to cut someone out when he's been given a thousand 2nd chances
Makes me sad when old friends don’t get along.
Not just JR but RVD and I think Mike Chioda also said they were asked about one thing and on the show inserted their answer on something unrelated.
