Just like true heroes, they prevail like angels from heaven. Add those touching facts that they care about and never run away from those challenges they face. Bats have been treated very poorly by the media and education system. They are wonderful animals and should be protected to the same extent as migratory birds and large cats.
The Wynns need to create and start wearing there own line of full black tactical camo gear so they look like a Navy Seal Team doing a special extraction mission. I'll bet their sales would go bat shit.

I love these Bats, I live next door to a colony in Brisbane but interacting with them is a hard no.

The new Garmin radar install using the fruit net kept me on pins and needles, then the fruit bat drama. When she fell off the bucket, my heart just sank. Geez I even shed a little tear at the end when you set her free. You all deserve brownies, beer and huge brownie points! You guys have such good hearts and determination too. Loved this episode ❤ 😍.

@@barbaraknapp6970 these kinda of bats are known to get nasty concussions. And get dehydrated. I was glad they were able to help. I hope they get a bat care box ready so when it happens again. Glucose gel in a tube and fruit juice in a syringe it really critical in the first moments. But she did well. Phew!!
I have got to say that during these challenging times you have been an inspiration to me and to so many others. Instead of complaining about being stuck in a Fiji apartment, you inspired us by taking time out of each day to clean trash from the beach. Then there was Pip. Not only did you save this adorable little kitten but you also raised almost $18,000 to help the animal shelter in Fiji. But did you stop there? No, you took the time to tell the story of Mark's struggles with getting the drugs he needs. The part of this story that I found most inspiring was that it was never about what you and your followers were able to accomplish. Instead, it was all about Mark getting a new lease on life. And now today you rescue an injured bat. Not one that was injured on your boat but one that was injured on a neighboring boat. You could have ignored this situation, and most probably would, but you did not. You rescued this cute little bat. We see people getting awards for their accomplishments for singing a song or performing in a movie but we seldom see awards for people that truly inspire others with their goodness. Well I think if anyone deserves a reward it is you. You have had so many challenges and have had to work so hard for everything, yet despite it all, you continue to inspire all of us to be better and to take care of those that need our help. With all the strife in the world today, I am proud to say that I am a patron of your site and I take the opportunity whenever I can to share your amazing adventures and your inspirational actions with others! Great job!! I look forward each week to your inspirations. Oh, one more thing. You two are the most amazing story tellers. We were so happy that y'all were able to save the bat! Our hearts sank when the bat fell to the ground. We were happy to know that it was okay and is doing well now!
Love the care you gave the little bat. Once had one land and hang on the reefing points of my main sail about two hundred miles off shore in the Gulf of Maine. Blown out in a storm. Little guy spent two days in the cabin on the veggie hammock. Then left us the night we made landfall in Marble head MA. Bats are very cool. Not sure if they really like to be petted. Ours seemed to tolerate the attention.
The Bananas hammock jokes just kept coming :) Too funny. And love that you rescued the bat. Flying Fox are so cute. Used to see a lot of them when I lived in Sydney Australia. Can't imagine that bat would ever have freed itself, although given their size and wingspan, this probably happens occasionally. Certainly heartwarming to see that critter fly away. And, I just can't imagine how anyone could give you a thumbs down for this video. Hope you're able to get your boat back in the water soon.
One of the reasons i watch every episode, your guys humanity and heart warming attitude always shows through, from picking up trash on the beach while waiting for covid to break, to saving bats, and educating us about them, to amazing sailing videos, foreign ports, and interesting people who could ask for more?
Great episode! Lol'd at Jason's banana hammock comments. Nikki being like nope. Nope. Don't need to see that as she drops camera. Loved Serol talking to the bat - "I'm coming for you bat!" And "I'm Sry proud of that bat" so sweet. When you zoomed in on her on the cage, I LOL'd again. I'm sure she knew you were helping her, but hanging there she looked pissed staring down the camera 🤣 She is a very beautiful creature, so sweet.

When you send the Garman back a note suggesting they put a tie point on it might be a good idea.
They could have used a couple of bolt holes that are used to fasten the radome to the mast.

When you zoomed in on her on the cage, I LOL'd again. I'm sure she knew you were helping her, but hanging there she looked pissed staring down the camera 🤣 She is a very beautiful creature, so sweet.
A new respect for the Captain! I've been at 60" working and I know what a white-knuckle experience it can be, especially handling hardware. Plus, you saved a bat!
