From a Veterinarian in the US thank you so much for helping the bat. It is so rewarding to help whatever creatures we can whenever we can. Bats are just amazing and you did everything just right, including putting your safety first. Love your videos!
As one who has rescued my share of little brown bats...thank you! Bats are so misunderstood and vital for our eco system. They are quite docile and more trusting of humans than people realize. Another great video❤️
I know! I had to resist the urge to skip ahead to the bat! I was like yeah yeah you got the radar on, saw some bees, and got down safely but WHAT ABOUT THE BAT?!?
Just when I thought I couldn't love and admire you more....you rescue a suffering bat that most would have left to die. Thank you for being the human's we need in this world.~Peace and Love~
I was on the edge of my seat when you were rescuing the bat, then watching her get better, and cried when she finally was released. Oh my goodness - an unexpected emotional video. Love you guys for all you do!!
For some unknown unexplained reasons, which are all very good. Nikki and Jason seem to just find and help any person, pet, or animal in need. Just like true heroes, they prevail like angels from heaven. Add those touching facts that they care about and never run away from those challenges they face. Let's give credit to those close friends who drop in and help when called upon. So awesome they share with all of us who wait patiently for the next episode. You guys make this world a better place with acts of kindness and love.
Awe, really love what you took away from this. "Let's give credit to those close friends who drop in and help when called upon." It's easy to take a good friend for granted. Always a good reminder to say thank you.
The Wynns need to create and start wearing there own line of full black tactical camo gear so they look like a Navy Seal Team doing a special extraction mission. I'll bet their sales would go bat shit.
The Wynns strike our hearts once again with one of their "highway to heaven" episodes where they help save the world, this time one bat at a time! great success!
Bats have been treated very poorly by the media and education system. They are wonderful animals and should be protected to the same extent as migratory birds and large cats.
Lotta heart y’all have. The thing is with the butterfly effect you have no idea how many thousands of acres she and her offspring will repopulate thanks to your kindness. Think about that. A single act of kindness towards a wild creature in need has long lasting effects on our planet 🌎👍😍
I love all of your episodes, but as an animal lover, this one was one of my favorites. Thank you for taking the time to rescue her, rehab her and return her to the wild. It was out of love and care that you dedicated your time to her. Your rewards will be many....
Ya'll are killing me with this bat ... I got a little teary eyed! Thank you for always caring so much about the creatures of our world. It's very sweet and heart warming!
I can’t imagine how much harder it is to do all these things AND plan around filming every part. “We need a close up here of removing the nut. And you need to fly the drone so we get some really long shots.” But goodness, Nikki and Jason, I love your sweet, tender hearts.
So heartwarming to see these kind people save Miss Batty.... she must have been terrified when she was stuck high up on that pole in that heat. Wonderful you guys rescued and nursed her back to health. And now she’s all better and back to her life ❤️
Thank you for showing the best of Human Spirit 💚🌍 all of you - completely changed my view of Bats ! Polinating 80 % of the Rainforest - Wow ! Bats need PR like this right now - sharing 👍🏻
I have got to say that during these challenging times you have been an inspiration to me and to so many others. Instead of complaining about being stuck in a Fiji apartment, you inspired us by taking time out of each day to clean trash from the beach. Then there was Pip. Not only did you save this adorable little kitten but you also raised almost $18,000 to help the animal shelter in Fiji. But did you stop there? No, you took the time to tell the story of Mark's struggles with getting the drugs he needs. The part of this story that I found most inspiring was that it was never about what you and your followers were able to accomplish. Instead, it was all about Mark getting a new lease on life. And now today you rescue an injured bat. Not one that was injured on your boat but one that was injured on a neighboring boat. You could have ignored this situation, and most probably would, but you did not. You rescued this cute little bat. We see people getting awards for their accomplishments for singing a song or performing in a movie but we seldom see awards for people that truly inspire others with their goodness. Well I think if anyone deserves a reward it is you. You have had so many challenges and have had to work so hard for everything, yet despite it all, you continue to inspire all of us to be better and to take care of those that need our help. With all the strife in the world today, I am proud to say that I am a patron of your site and I take the opportunity whenever I can to share your amazing adventures and your inspirational actions with others! Great job!! I look forward each week to your inspirations. Oh, one more thing. You two are the most amazing story tellers. Without a doubt, the highlight of my Mondays (I'm in Korea so your postings are Mondays for me)
This video was much more emotional and dramatic than I expected! I breathed a sigh of relief when the bat was in the bag. I learned a lot during the fact section, thanks for sharing. Good job, Bat Team! Best wishes back out in the wild, Batty McVane, live long and prosper. 🥭
Hijacking top comment: Flying Foxes / Fruit bats are notorious disease carriers and are close to the top of the list of Australian animals not to interact with - Hendra Virus, Hemorrhagic diseases, Rabies. I love these Bats, I live next door to a colony in Brisbane but interacting with them is a hard no.
Bats are much cooler than most people think and they offer a lot to our environment. Glad you could save this one from a certain death and release it as soon as possible. All of our lives are a little richer because you shared this experience!
Two incredible human beings! Everywhere you go, you always find a way to give back, or make something better, change someones life, or rescue an animal. Not only are you fun to watch, but an inspiration on how people should treat the world around them.
Stories like this one is why I watch these two cruisers and not many others. Somehow they almost always take the focus off of themselves and put it on something more important.
Well, I was super impressed with the radar mission -- great job! But then the bat rescue and rehab; over the top for content. Seriously, great rescue, great filming/editing. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible day.
What an especially wonderful episode. I actually teared up when you saved & cared for her and then set Ms. Batty McVein free... she was absolutely adorable!🦇🥭
I've been following your journey since you were still in the RV. As a veteran sailor I was a little skeptical of your skills - and the wisdom - of embarking on your seagoing odyssey. Im pleased to say that I've watched your skills and competence and confidence grow. You are a remarkable couple. Kudos.
Aww, 🦇 Batty McVane, you cool cutie 😍! I love your sweet expression as you hung up side down looking out at the world. Cyril and Nikki were not the only ones getting teary eyed when you flew away but we're all so glad you could. Thank you, Bat Team!!! 💋
You all are awesome, including Ceril. Batty McVane, how clever and cute her name, she will be forever grateful for your kindness. I've always liked most bats, but fruit bats are by far my favorite of the species. This was such an awesome and intensly emotional episode. The new Garmin radar install using the fruit net kept me on pins and needles, then the fruit bat drama. When she fell off the bucket, my heart just sank. Geez I even shed a little tear at the end when you set her free. You all deserve brownies, beer and huge brownie points! You guys have such good hearts and determination too. Loved this episode ❤ 😍.
You guys are awesome. In the middle of all this craziness you have made such an impact on the lives of those around you. While a number of other TH-camrs out there whine and complain about the pandemic and not being able to go where they want, Fiji and now Tonga are better places because you were there!! Thank you for being who you are!!
