  • The year is coming to an end and we decided to show you all of the accomplishments we did this year.
It was a rough year for us but anyone would tell you that the first year of homesteading is always the hardest.
Building our homesteading dream, I completely understand why everyone says that now. You want to be strategic where you are putting permanent structures and that’s what makes it so hard.
It’s truly amazing how far we’ve gotten and it’s a joy to be able to show you and join us on our journey of homesteading and trying our best to becoming self sustaining.
We appreciate all of you and thanks for hanging out with us. We loving having you and can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us.
    God bless
    Andrew and Alicia

Wow, your garden is huge! Plus you also have the spot with all the pots. I can't imagine how much work it would be to simply maintain all of the plants - not to mention everything else you are doing.
    Keep it up!

Thanks Eli. In the height of canning season I think you could employ someone for 30-40 hours to maintain the garden and put food up for the winter. If we didn’t use ground cover and drip irrigation there’s no way we could pull this size garden off.
Thanks for your support. Keep posting, don’t forget once a week 😁 you got this!

That's a lot of wood to split. I bet it would be so much easier with some machine to split it. I have seen a lot of varieties. I would cut and split in on the spot and transport that wood. Good Luck.

It is a lot. I did a video on our log splitter. No way I could do this by hand. But I do need a bigger one however this one got the job done. Just took me a long time. I did about 5 cord this year on that little splitter.
      Great suggestion, thank you.
