This recording was done live in December 2019. Piano was later added in California. Like most of my productions, it took many months to mix. Much thanks to Ahsan Ali, Gaurav Dhingra and Aman Kakkar for their contributions on this project.
Who is Govind?
Guru Arjan sings of the Govind whose power spreads in all four directions. He feels like Govind's hand is on his head.

@@shivpreetmusic I lived in Bay Area and never heard you or about you - Back in India & came across your Kirtans (starting with Raghunath when I was feeling very alone - Sang Sakha sab Taj gaye.. Koe na nibhaya Saath) as a Sanatani and the BHAAV/ FEEL - not just voice is so deep.. Shared your tracks with a Sikh friend in SF (after 1-2 years of discovering them) & he said you were based in SF and he's seen you at Gurudwara. I missed a chance even though in the area.
The FEEL / BHAAV is so true.. deep.. Guru Kripa. Hope to catch you next I am in SF.

I love this Shabad immensely. Whenever I can I attend kirtans at the Gurudwara though I am a Catholic as I find the same peace and serenity of heart as I do in Church here in the gurudwara. God in any language or religion is one. I find Shabads especially bring one closer to the almighty.
Maybe the paths to find god might be many but almighty is only one.🙏

Listening to Shabad and gurbani is a wonderful blessing my mother said to me after finishing her prayers,but what are you going to change today and now,I said mum l don’t gamble smoke or do drugs and work hard,don’t even buy lottery tickets.Mum said you drink wine alcohol is alcohol lead by example for other members off your family and your two children.So on the 29 Dec 2013 emptied every bottle down the drain outside the road cleaned the house.Now every person around me is doing the same especially the youngsters using there energies in education and playing instruments.Thankyou Waugh Guru Ji for this 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Sarangi is Nepali instrument. Love you all Punjabis. When I visited New Delhi 10 years ago, everybody was speaking Punjabi with me. They thought I am the son of jatt and may be I look alike them.At that time, I could barely speak Hindi. By that time, I have immense love for all Indians.
Perhaps thats why I love it because I was born in Nepal

I was born hindu but I follow sikhism. I learned how to write punjabi and when I read holy books I really get the peace and harmony. I went to dixie gurudwara and we have the museum and I feel the pain and torture which was done by Muslim emperors.
