She did not overpower them honestly. There were many parts that her voice was barely even audible. The Boys II Men were more consistent here. You can hear there voice all through out the performance.

Her vocals were so on point. I don't think her voice has ever been as good as her Madison square garden show. She literally blows you away. Her voice just melts me. Pure perfection. There Just aren't enough superlatives to describe her voice here. If I had 3 wishes I would always give one to her to restore her to her daydream voice. She would still be having #1s today

And her voice was so unique, so light but at the same time so powerful and resonant especially in upperbelts, strong but at the same time fluid and elastic. At her best she is just unbeatable.

The best voice doesn't exist when it is based on something as subjective as tone. 98-99 It was Mariah's vocal decline but her only problem are the nodules that limit the consistency of her voice, it has happened that Mariah has equaled or surpassed her performance in her prime sometimes even in the last few years like for Joy to the world at Beacon theater for example. Two different worlds, not comparable because they have not had the same training. i didn't really pay attention to them here, i just skipped to mariah parts. But in the grammy one... the guys sound very off key to me, like they were very messy and out of tune. I don't really know if they did that intentionally cuz im not a fan of them
