Back then, Motola, her husband and her boss, was crazy about trying to sell her as a perfect singing machine, with no raspyness or vocal flaws, so he would put her in the Studio and then he would make her re-sing the vocals over The recorded show, to mix it up and release it. It is still a live sound, but recorded in the studio and "retouched". In My opinion, this was a total waste of time. Her tone and range in the early 90's were amazing live as Well. Her resonance and vocal control are What make her unique during live performances! Editing The audio steals away all The magic Of it, as You can notice if You compare both versions. She's a Queen

this sounds better ONLY because it has more reverb/acoustic due to the location. they almost did the same vocal performance with the dubbed recording (just lacking a bit reverb or surround acoustic and that just it nothing else)

I’ve been to 3 Mariah concerts..when her voice pumps through those speakers it’s like nothing you’ve ever felt...I literally sobbed the whole way through one...when you can connect the lyrics and songs you’ve adored your whole life with the power and presence of it....unbelievable..
