100% agree that IQ needs grenades. Most operators secondary gadgets complement with their main. Pulse and Val have C4, Thermite can time a smoke with his breach, a shield is must have for smoke and I could go on.
Prefect timing; my two friends just started playing Siege this week [after fleeing the dumpster fire that's now COD] and it's pretty tough explaining this game, helping them in site prep, droning on attack, IGLing, calling out, getting them to call out, going over map knowledge, lines of site AND OPERATOR ABILITIES. So, this helps....A lot. Thank you sir.
This game is a dumpster fire. As someone that's played 24/7 from operation health to white noise and so on retired. You don't know meta of the game and even then you'll still lose majority of the match. Unless you've played and know the maps, where to position, what your teammates are doing, get callouts etc.
They'll play for about a few months before Warzone 2 is released most likely. Siege has a lot going for it, what it doesn't have is active, hyped development paired with pick-up-and-play nature of CoD. It's why CoD is popular, its good enough to be skilled, yet you don't have to waste your time with Ubisoft and learning recoil patterns. You know what a gun does, point shoot. You can be a casual player and play, or go harder and still play, all within a click. You don't have to wait for a long time, the "omg meta" is not nearly as bullshit deep. They might be enjoying this game, but expect to be playing Warzone 2 with them when it releases. I'm saying this as someone who has played CoD and R6, and I know what's going to happen.

Nokk is actually a character you can still bring a friend along for, You just have to be aware that you're now playing Vigil on attack more than a solo stealth Nokk. In otherwords, change from expecting an unaware enemy to an unprepared one. Vigil(In most situations) tells you there's a threat but doesn't let you see exactly where Nokk with a buddy can still just walk past cams but having the other guy there just means that the enemy will likely peek expecting a very particular threat and find that the trouble they signed up for was secretly always double and their forehead is probably about to blast off again. I think of her paired with team mates as a kind of off brand Iana. You can follow in or be the lead and trade out because that's the risk Nokk runs, death without refrag. Actually iana is a really good pair for Nokk. Both have nades, and both have the ability to mislead. You can open a door and active drone a Nokk in with Iana without the cameras ever being aware that the decoy has company, which either means they'll go for what they think is the real deal or they'll sit on cams until they see the actual Iana push. Just get consent before you bait the FUCK out of that team mate if they are buddying up. Nokk as a solo character is one of those "Yeah this makes sense, buuuuut is it really the best option?" Kinda characters.
Even then. High rep players won't fall for it. They'll prefire anything. Even if you got Intel they won't sit there and wait for you in the same position. Either they flank or they move to an better position watching the spot you'll be coming from along side telling their teammates to watch out and flank. There's many possibilities but still not saying it won't work.

And flanks are only dangerous because they're behind you, and you can't look two ways at once. if you have that Nokk and a team mate, there's literally no reason for you both to be looking the same way so one is always holding your flank. Either way the enemy don't know they're peeking into two people. Worst case is Both of you die. A good result is you trade out, a great result is you both survive, get a pick and you have 2 fifths of your team busting onto site when the enemy REALLY isn't ready for that kinda pressure. Siege has always been about manipulating resources, rarely ever outright denying them. This is no different. Against high level opponents, I just wouldn't run it twice. Pulling it out for a round would be fine though
I will add on to this and say that her shotgun is some damn good utility. She can get in first with just 2 shots to a normal barricade and on soft walls 4 shots in a square. Makes less noise than an explosive and bucks shotgun. Bring the deagle as a secondary and use that for medium range and run from hallways that are too long and you've got a really sneaky flanker while your team has the enemy distracted
One of the funniest things about castles rep with many as a "Bad operator" stems entirely from their belief that castle barricades are too easily taken out. Which kinda just says it all, Because they don't understand that the barricades getting taken out is exactly what you want when you take him. That's the exact moment a castle main starts cackling loudly from behind 3 more fucking barricades He's literally a Trade offer meme, I offer you one Sorry we're closed and you offer me either 15 seconds of your attacking round or, one of your nice shiny explosives that you don't get to use on something much more dangerous to you later.
@@ucewondar179 Only recently been able to word it myself, After encountering a long thread of people that were complaining about him needing buffs, specifically ones where you couldn't break the barrier without an explosive because it was "too easy" and that's about when I realized everyone seems to think he's about blocking up an area permanently, That helped me verbalize it. It's not about keeping them out, it's just about Charging them at the door
I remember one time when I was playing castle (before 4 sorry we closed) it was a 2 v 1 (Rook and I vs Ash) she had to go into site but she used all of her explosives, so she couldn't get in

I think it should be noted that Goyo’s lunchboxes will also explode if the surface they are on is destroyed, such as a barricade being broken. This makes him very good for delaying enemy pushes and gaining information on what barricades have been broken and where they are pushing from. This goes for soft walls too, but I think it’s main utility is placing them on barricades.

A few tips for operators that were not mentioned: Kapkan: Put them low, stack one doorway with 2 (near site, or where people will be), and 3 somewhere high traffic on the map, main hallway, first floor, near main entrance on villa is a great place. I like roaming with him, because that just does great things Thorn: DO NOT PLACE THEM HIGH. Place them foot level (or around corners like he said), the radius of it is decently small, so you need them as close to the center as possible, placing them high means the radius is further away from center mass, and it takes around 2 steps to get away from it. Placing them low is around 5, and it does more damage, please don't do this Mira: Goes well with Azami on soft walled crouched Miras, if you know you know. Echo: Most games, unless you're in ranked, or high elo unranked/cas, will not go down to the last second. This is not to say they don't, but usually, your randoms will die, and they will get site control with around 1 minute left on the clock. This is not to say he is useless! You can place him in places where you get intel instead of denial, main lobby on bank is a huge example. Finka: Sausage rush funny, not effective, but funny. Rook: Spawnpeeking, runouts, and such are common and effective, was quickly mentioned but not elaborated Ela: Is now a 2 speed, so she isn't designated roamer anymore, she can still, however, roam. Shotgun go brrr, and skorpion also got a recoil buff, and is easy to control, though it is still a nerf gun, and needs headshots. Zero: One man army, can openers for when you don,t have a hard breach, he can take out the anti-breach on his own, whether from below, or directly. if you DO have a hard breach, and can coordinate, claymores make for a good backup. Cav: You will stay seated, and keep your arms, legs, and heads, INSIDE your lurking spot until a good moment arises, don't flank early, because then you're bound to get shot. Don't flank late, or you will throw the game, and they will be waiting for you. If someone happens to step on you early on in the match, feel free to interrogate, they are likely to be alone. Melusi: Queen Wubwub is now a 3 armor, probably will anchor now, idk, i dont play her Valk: Can place her cams outside (even if only for 10 seconds) for a cheap runout that works more often than not, if you watch yo_boy_roy, he has a couple examples of places, though your aim and gamesense has to be mediocre to pull these off. Clash: Don't use her without a stack, if you do, first off you're a little brain damaged, but you can salvage it with turtle strats/spin. Basically spin to the left as you pull your gun out. That's it, that's the trick. Oryx: Shield counter, kill their companions, dash into the shielf to knock them on their asses, and kill them. Kaid: You can google some spots for different maps to find out ways you can get invinsible, or hard to find electroclaws. Mozzie: You can get infinite pests by pressing the swap weapon button, and shoot at the same time, pick your pest up, and you'll pick up 2. That way, you double them, and can take ALL THE INTEL MUAHAHHAHA Amaru strat, founded by me :) : You have a teammate upsidedown on a closed window, you zip in through that window, maybe plant, maybe frag, up to you. You then have someone on rappel to refrag or cover you while someone plants, and you're in site, or around site. Blackbeard: Turtle strat, you prone so they either shoot your shield, or your back. You will die. He is not good. But upsidedown rappel, or turtle, those are your options. Hibana: If you open up the soft part of a hard wall, there will be a lip between 2 hard walls, you put 2 XKAIROS pellets on the little lip, sideways, and it will open up a man sized breach. DMRS: (Excepting glaz) Run 1.5, vertical grip, muzzle brake, and jitter click. Now you have what is essentially a semi automatic semi truck. LMGS: Ratatatatata, prefire, ratatatatatatatatata French pump shotty is always an option, and is likely to get nerfed soon. You've been warned.

8:55 (buck) is probably the best breacher in the game; he’s soft breaching, with hard breaching, with amazing guns. He will probably lose the hard breach for EMPS; as ubisoft doesn’t like an “one man army” operator.
@@ailzarx His dmr is a good rifle; i typically run 2x on dmrs, and his AR has a good fire rate place his shotgun under barrel is a good crutch in a gun fight if your gun goes click.
Thank you for the Capitao love, I’ve been playing him since he came out, and idk how people don’t realize just how versatile he is especially now he has the HB capability. As it happens the only thing he’s really missing is his eye ball
I think People don't really like playing Capitao because his AR is kindda meh, they might not light the LMG and his Gadget requires more work and timing that other characters. I don't think people think he's bad, but they just don't want to play him.
@@UnPokemon he definitely has a high skill ceiling. As for his gun it has a slow fire rate but has good recoil with an angled grip and does pretty decent damage
i love playing capitao on border when site is on 2f, i just hold angle on east stairs where roamers usually run out, two claymors help with runners from 1f and office, while osa/monty plant right at the site entrance with the help of glaz or ying and some finka/nokk/ash/iq pushing enemys from other side cap in this scenario helping with his util like denying enemies to be close to planter with fire and adding more smoke and obv he's heavily relies on teamwork here (i play on asia so its working here, not sure about other servers)
@@therine-ug9ed totally! i totally agree, i think hes the best post-plant operator, but does heavily rely on team work coordination. But if you're in normal ranked and the defuser actually goes down (instead of it just turning into deathmatch) i imagine theres already a level of teamwork going on.
As a Fuze main, I completely agree with the statement that he's used incorrectly, you've got to time and place the cluster charges right to get something done with them, otherwise they can just serve as an anti-gadget tool.
I found you through your first How to Every Op video, and there are literally nothing but improvements in this video compared to the previous. Great job.
Another use for amaru on kafe top floor is to be the planter. If your team can get in to where you can plant anywhere under the skylight amaru can put the defuser down and quickly leave through the skylight to gain a hardcore vantage point over the defuser.
Buck is also a really good solo push op in places like attic on oregon, you clear the util of the wall from below and use can openers to breach whilst the rest of your team is making all the noise from window and closet wall. Works really well if you can time it right.
4:17 I still see so many teammates who don't know that Aruni gates can be re-armed, which always annoys me as someone who plays her somewhat frequently.
It does suck that it's pretty hard to hit it in the right spot to reactive tho, whenever I'm playing her I waste an entire mag or more simply trying to get my Surya back on.

I felt the rage on the Maverick bit Also, just a noobs opinion on Flores, it should also be mentioned that Flores drones can also be used to cause the enemy team to panic some. Drive it into an anchor, set it off, and they'll run. Chances are, if you've got a teammate watching a door, they'll run into some bullets and you'll secure a kill. Just an extra note that I think should be said about him.
I just started back intoit after a good year and a half hiatus, had never encountered a Flores before. Whenever the little icon popped up, I had no idea what it meant, I tried shooting it then was promptly sent to the shadow realm. Good times.

There's five letters Siege hasn't covered yet (H J Q U X), I think we can get some nice names starting with these bad boys maybe except for X, that might sound too forced.

The whole "Nomad requires line of sight" risk isn't actually always the case. If you punch hole or break one side of a wall with bullets and then place the nomad on the inside of the punch/over the bullets, it'll trigger through the wall. So many areas you wouldn't otherwise nomad off can be done using an adjacent soft wall It's also really not complicated, just walk up to a soft wall, activate your airjab, punch and fire. Boom, A very specific part of the corridor is now your personal prox sensor/cue to swing. You can even use this in some places to hold an off angle that your airjab will send the dude straight into and all you gotta do is pull the trigger
@@ravinkrishnan3183 It works on the angle that it hits them. So basically, it flings them in the exact opposite angle of where it's positioned relative to them. If they trigger it at 12 Oclock they get thrown to 6, 3 to 9 etc. So if you put it on a doorway on the left side, and it's flush to the door frame, it'll throw them to the right. If it's above the doorway, it's a bit more random because they can come through the door on the left side of it or the right side of it. If you attach it to the wall beside a door but not flush to that door, the enemy will trigger it before they're actually level with the door which will toss them diagonally back out the door. If you have a punch hole, it acts kinda like a trip wire, because the punch hole only allows the detonation radius to go THROUGH the hole in a line.
what some people might not know is that the Rateros can be set-and-forget as they will continue to roll forward in the direction you leave them in when you get off drone mode. they will move forward until the timer runs out and the detonation sequence begins.
Monty is an S tier operator since defenders get so focused on trying to kill him that they forget that there are 4 other people, which makes it easy for them to kill the defense.

Frost is also fantastic for staircases especially U shaped ones. Like if the area an enemy is threatened from by a gunfight is in a different direction from the top step of the stairs, then most people will walk up the stairs looking away from that step and thus the mat and boom, it's kneecapping time. Personal favourites are cash/garage on clubhouse, stick one top garage stairs, one top red and the third can go under the server window and you'll get a fair amount of knees outta it. Also in master bedroom, main stairs halfway up and under two windows. Emerald Plains also is pretty good cuz there's two U shaped staircases so sticking it halfway up on both can net you some while they're looking at the top step. Windows are great for traps but people are kinda used to them and many do the flick down while hopping in but alotta people don't check stairs so if you don't use them on stairs, fully recommend you start and take them legs on a business trip in your violent briefcases
If you think about it, IQ can be a great substitute to Thatcher once she gets her nades back. I think Finka deserves a goddamn breaching charge more than IQ does at this moment.

Flores can take out mute jammers provided there's space to get into LOS of one without a full jam. The mutes radius is smaller than a drone blast so once your drone goes fuzzy, flip the switch and as long as you have the LOS he ain't muting the booms. As long as he doesn't have literally every entrance to site jammed up, you can probably get the jammers off as a result. I love characters who can counter or be countered, It's so much more fun than hard counters.

I think it should be noted that Goyo’s lunchboxes will also explode if the surface they are on is destroyed, such as a barricade being broken. This makes him very good for delaying enemy pushes and gaining information on what barricades have been broken and where they are pushing from. This goes for soft walls too, but I think it’s main utility is placing them on barricades.

A few tips for operators that were not mentioned:
Kapkan: Put them low, stack one doorway with 2 (near site, or where people will be), and 3 somewhere high traffic on the map, main hallway, first floor, near main entrance on villa is a great place. I like roaming with him, because that just does great things
Thorn: DO NOT PLACE THEM HIGH. Place them foot level (or around corners like he said), the radius of it is decently small, so you need them as close to the center as possible, placing them high means the radius is further away from center mass, and it takes around 2 steps to get away from it. Placing them low is around 5, and it does more damage, please don't do this
Mira: Goes well with Azami on soft walled crouched Miras, if you know you know.
Echo: Most games, unless you're in ranked, or high elo unranked/cas, will not go down to the last second. This is not to say they don't, but usually, your randoms will die, and they will get site control with around 1 minute left on the clock. This is not to say he is useless! You can place him in places where you get intel instead of denial, main lobby on bank is a huge example.
Finka: Sausage rush funny, not effective, but funny.
Rook: Spawnpeeking, runouts, and such are common and effective, was quickly mentioned but not elaborated
Ela: Is now a 2 speed, so she isn't designated roamer anymore, she can still, however, roam. Shotgun go brrr, and skorpion also got a recoil buff, and is easy to control, though it is still a nerf gun, and needs headshots.
Zero: One man army, can openers for when you don,t have a hard breach, he can take out the anti-breach on his own, whether from below, or directly. if you DO have a hard breach, and can coordinate, claymores make for a good backup.
Cav: You will stay seated, and keep your arms, legs, and heads, INSIDE your lurking spot until a good moment arises, don't flank early, because then you're bound to get shot. Don't flank late, or you will throw the game, and they will be waiting for you. If someone happens to step on you early on in the match, feel free to interrogate, they are likely to be alone.
Melusi: Queen Wubwub is now a 3 armor, probably will anchor now, idk, i dont play her
Valk: Can place her cams outside (even if only for 10 seconds) for a cheap runout that works more often than not, if you watch yo_boy_roy, he has a couple examples of places, though your aim and gamesense has to be mediocre to pull these off.
Clash: Don't use her without a stack, if you do, first off you're a little brain damaged, but you can salvage it with turtle strats/spin. Basically spin to the left as you pull your gun out. That's it, that's the trick.
Oryx: Shield counter, kill their companions, dash into the shielf to knock them on their asses, and kill them.
Kaid: You can google some spots for different maps to find out ways you can get invinsible, or hard to find electroclaws.
Mozzie: You can get infinite pests by pressing the swap weapon button, and shoot at the same time, pick your pest up, and you'll pick up 2. That way, you double them, and can take ALL THE INTEL MUAHAHHAHA
Amaru strat, founded by me :) : You have a teammate upsidedown on a closed window, you zip in through that window, maybe plant, maybe frag, up to you. You then have someone on rappel to refrag or cover you while someone plants, and you're in site, or around site.
Blackbeard: Turtle strat, you prone so they either shoot your shield, or your back. You will die. He is not good. But upsidedown rappel, or turtle, those are your options.
Hibana: If you open up the soft part of a hard wall, there will be a lip between 2 hard walls, you put 2 XKAIROS pellets on the little lip, sideways, and it will open up a man sized breach.
DMRS: (Excepting glaz) Run 1.5, vertical grip, muzzle brake, and jitter click. Now you have what is essentially a semi automatic semi truck.
LMGS: Ratatatatata, prefire, ratatatatatatatatata
French pump shotty is always an option, and is likely to get nerfed soon. You've been warned.

8:55 (buck) is probably the best breacher in the game; he’s soft breaching, with hard breaching, with amazing guns. He will probably lose the hard breach for EMPS; as ubisoft doesn’t like an “one man army” operator.
Eh, I main buck and I can acknowledge he's probably not. I like his dmr with 3x, but his ar is underwhelming. I'd say he's equal with others at best
@@ailzarx His dmr is a good rifle; i typically run 2x on dmrs, and his AR has a good fire rate place his shotgun under barrel is a good crutch in a gun fight if your gun goes click.

Not to mention, that Skeleton key packs a crazy punch and is semi auto. It is great for close range if you want to use it for that.

I think People don't really like playing Capitao because his AR is kindda meh, they might not light the LMG and his Gadget requires more work and timing that other characters.
I don't think people think he's bad, but they just don't want to play him.

i just hold angle on east stairs where roamers usually run out, two claymors help with runners from 1f and office, while osa/monty plant right at the site entrance with the help of glaz or ying and some finka/nokk/ash/iq pushing enemys from other side
cap in this scenario helping with his util like denying enemies to be close to planter with fire and adding more smoke
and obv he's heavily relies on teamwork here

@@therine-ug9ed totally! i totally agree, i think hes the best post-plant operator, but does heavily rely on team work coordination. But if you're in normal ranked and the defuser actually goes down (instead of it just turning into deathmatch) i imagine theres already a level of teamwork going on.
As a Fuze main, I completely agree with the statement that he's used incorrectly, you've got to time and place the cluster charges right to get something done with them, otherwise they can just serve as an anti-gadget tool.

I found you through your first How to Every Op video, and there are literally nothing but improvements in this video compared to the previous. Great job.
Another use for amaru on kafe top floor is to be the planter. If your team can get in to where you can plant anywhere under the skylight amaru can put the defuser down and quickly leave through the skylight to gain a hardcore vantage point over the defuser.
Buck is also a really good solo push op in places like attic on oregon, you clear the util of the wall from below and use can openers to breach whilst the rest of your team is making all the noise from window and closet wall. Works really well if you can time it right.
4:17 I still see so many teammates who don't know that Aruni gates can be re-armed, which always annoys me as someone who plays her somewhat frequently.
It does suck that it's pretty hard to hit it in the right spot to reactive tho, whenever I'm playing her I waste an entire mag or more simply trying to get my Surya back on.

Also, just a noobs opinion on Flores, it should also be mentioned that Flores drones can also be used to cause the enemy team to panic some. Drive it into an anchor, set it off, and they'll run. Chances are, if you've got a teammate watching a door, they'll run into some bullets and you'll secure a kill. Just an extra note that I think should be said about him.
I just started back intoit after a good year and a half hiatus, had never encountered a Flores before. Whenever the little icon popped up, I had no idea what it meant, I tried shooting it then was promptly sent to the shadow realm. Good times.

Even if this (atleast to me) feels more like a "what does every operator do" rather than a "how to actually play the op" kind of video, this is pretty nice! Seems like you put aaalot of work in.
The whole "Nomad requires line of sight" risk isn't actually always the case.
If you punch hole or break one side of a wall with bullets and then place the nomad on the inside of the punch/over the bullets, it'll trigger through the wall.
So many areas you wouldn't otherwise nomad off can be done using an adjacent soft wall
It's also really not complicated, just walk up to a soft wall, activate your airjab, punch and fire. Boom, A very specific part of the corridor is now your personal prox sensor/cue to swing.
You can even use this in some places to hold an off angle that your airjab will send the dude straight into and all you gotta do is pull the trigger
What direction does the airjab send dudes??

@@ravinkrishnan3183 It works on the angle that it hits them. So basically, it flings them in the exact opposite angle of where it's positioned relative to them.
If they trigger it at 12 Oclock they get thrown to 6, 3 to 9 etc.
So if you put it on a doorway on the left side, and it's flush to the door frame, it'll throw them to the right.
If it's above the doorway, it's a bit more random because they can come through the door on the left side of it or the right side of it.
If you attach it to the wall beside a door but not flush to that door, the enemy will trigger it before they're actually level with the door which will toss them diagonally back out the door.
If you have a punch hole, it acts kinda like a trip wire, because the punch hole only allows the detonation radius to go THROUGH the hole in a line.

what some people might not know is that the Rateros can be set-and-forget as they will continue to roll forward in the direction you leave them in when you get off drone mode. they will move forward until the timer runs out and the detonation sequence begins.
Monty is an S tier operator since defenders get so focused on trying to kill him that they forget that there are 4 other people, which makes it easy for them to kill the defense.

Frost is also fantastic for staircases especially U shaped ones.
Like if the area an enemy is threatened from by a gunfight is in a different direction from the top step of the stairs, then most people will walk up the stairs looking away from that step and thus the mat and boom, it's kneecapping time.
Personal favourites are cash/garage on clubhouse, stick one top garage stairs, one top red and the third can go under the server window and you'll get a fair amount of knees outta it. Also in master bedroom, main stairs halfway up and under two windows.
Emerald Plains also is pretty good cuz there's two U shaped staircases so sticking it halfway up on both can net you some while they're looking at the top step.
Windows are great for traps but people are kinda used to them and many do the flick down while hopping in but alotta people don't check stairs so if you don't use them on stairs, fully recommend you start and take them legs on a business trip in your violent briefcases

Flores can take out mute jammers provided there's space to get into LOS of one without a full jam.
The mutes radius is smaller than a drone blast so once your drone goes fuzzy, flip the switch and as long as you have the LOS he ain't muting the booms.
As long as he doesn't have literally every entrance to site jammed up, you can probably get the jammers off as a result.
I love characters who can counter or be countered, It's so much more fun than hard counters.

a nice trick that i like to run is to put goyo’s spicy lunchboxes on a doorway that kapkan puts a whammy wire or two on so that i don’t have to camp one spot the entire time
