Wow dejay it’s great to come home from the hospital with my daughter where we found out she has to have at least 2 surgeries and unwind looking at your videos and watching the donkeys. It’s looking like Jessie is going to be another phoebe jealous of you putting the halter on jay. Still praying for rain for you guys love from Tipperary in Ireland 🇮🇪

Little Jessie on the halter reminds me of a dog I used to have, Maggie. If you put a leash on her and draped it over her back she would stand there, literally all day long, until you picked the leash up off her back. She walked fine ‘on’ the leash. 😆🤷♀️♥️ Thanks for sharing!

Jerry and the Mommy donkeys are learning by watching. Jerry was very attentive observing everything going on. He is getting an understanding, mom and love these babies and I need to make sure I keep them safe. He followed everywhere you went while lead breaking the babies and the triplets, but knew well enough to keep a distance. They are going to catch quick like Jessie is already catching on. It is always a joy watching you and Daniel, whether you're working with critters or just doing ranch work. Cory at Horse Plus Humane Society does a good job explaining how to halter train. Daniel has the right idea, if they take a step toward you release pressure as a reward.

Wow how nice it was to see all those babies together it's so cool they're all like one big close family. Jess and j are very close to each other.
I think they're all doing a good job and you're doing a good job with them they all look great.
I would just make some small halters put it on their faces the triplets and the babies without the lead and just walk around while they have it on their face for at least an hour, let them get used to that. When you guys are chilling on the patio outside having a barbecue throw the halters on them and enjoy your barbecue just keep a eye on the and make sure to take the halters off so they don't get stuck anywhere without the leads, And if you ignore them and just walk around they'll get used to it and follow you around. And then after a while a couple of weeks put the lead on. Maybe get the kids to walk them around with the lead on the side of the halter but just slightly not pulling them just let them feel it a little bit and allow them to move closer.
Jesse was a big surprise with that halter and lead.
They are all so sweet they are so close to you and Daniel that's so nice to see. They love hugs that's for sure. Jesse loves to be around you, they are so cute.

Ya'll should consider putting a 24/7 live video camera on your donkey area, and allow folks to check in on the donkeys. It would be fun to watch them in their escapades with one another, in addition to their interactions with you and Daniel.

Have had German Shepperd Dogs for decades. All colors, including a beautiful blue. Don't know how, but I can always tell them apart.

I thought it went well! I think you saw that little bit of "wild" coming out of Jay. :o) Anything you do with the donkeys is fun! I finally ordered a harness for my cat today. I've had her 5 yrs now. She found me as a half starved bag of bones. I convinced her when I decided to keep her she'd be an inside kitty. :o)
I really would like to be able to take her for walks around the yard. My backyard goes into woods. We'll see! We'll start slowly just wearing it inside. I have a feeling she's going to start out a little like Jay, though. :o) We'll do our best!
