Sparkadia is a really talented band but the only problem is that not alot of people know about them, if they find some way to make everyone listen to their songs, They would be really damn popular!
This song is truly amazing. The lyrics are intelligent and thought provoking. The music is almost anthemic (as in their song China). Very beautiful. The music reminds me (but is not the same as that) of Tears for Fears (and I think TFF are one of the best bands ever). I am so happy that today I heard China on the radio and decided to look you up on youtube. I found this gem. I’m going to go out and buy the album. I NEED IT.

LOL @ the JJJ listeners...... thanks Alex & Tom!! awesome track 'Walking like a young John Wayne' sounds like the way my old man walks!! XD 2 thumbs uP!!!
Big fan, but it’s been playing on my mind that part of song sounds very familiar. The line ‘Tried to find the words but they won’t surrender’ and the following line (0.49 - 1.02) are then echoed in the piano(?) instrumental section (1.17-1.22). Lovely they are, but very familiar. Then it came to me- tune is identical to chorus of Snow Patrol’s ‘You’re all I have’ -chorus in that is ‘So clear now that you are all that I have’. Deliberate or subconscious? Either way, a top tune
@Bazelinez This has been driving me crazy for days but I just can't quite figure it out I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue. I'm sure the keyboard is from an 80's or early 90's song
@maximoeden Yeah I noticed that too haha, but the two songs are completely different. It is only one little section in this song that sounds like Snow Patrol, so it doesn't really matter
Love this song, Great band, Loving there second album. Check out another great Australian band I just came across "July Days - Electric Love" if you love this song you will love it.
There is a sample in here of an old song I can't remember the name of! Its in the chorus....anyone know what it is? Not sure its Snow Patrol like said before but something much older. Its the keyboard section more then anything.
Damn, listened to this when I was little, 12 years later still hits
It's that really unreal voice that makes it soo unique. Great band and totally under-rated.
❤❤❤
Seriously, on 300k views...I'm glad I lived in Aus back then or I'd never have heard this
@@bagpussmacfarlan9008 2010 was the year, triple j classic.
Lyrics
Tongue - tied
Talking to my feet
When there's nothing better than self-defeat
I stop - stall
Try to stand tall
When whatever I say means nothing at all
I walk
Through all the steps in my head
It made more sense in my head
Plain and simple I can't keep climbing
I try to find the words but they won't surrender
So I lie to you and say that I don't remember
Singing like a hurricane
Dancing like Fred Astaire
Walking like a young John Wayne
I'm talking like I'm falling downstairs
I'm talking like I'm falling downstairs
Stut-ter
Mutter to myself
That you can't quote something from someone else
I duck - swerve
Lose my nerves
It's on the tip of my tongue so just give me the word and
I'll walk
Through all the steps in my head
Makes more sense in my head
Plain and simple I can't keep climbing
I try to find the words but they won't surrender
So I lie to you and say that I don't remember
Singing like a hurricane
Dancing like Fred Astaire
Walking like a young John Wayne
I'm talking like I'm falling down
I'm talking like I'm falling downstairs
I'm talking like I'm falling downstairs
Singing like a hurricane
Dancing like Fred Astaire
Walking like a young John Wayne
I'm talking like I'm falling down
I'm talking like I'm falling downstairs
Talking like I'm falling downstairs
Talking like I'm falling downstairs

FINALLY IT COMES ONTO TH-cam BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR MONTHS!
The little keyboard bit is legit identical to the chorus melody of Snow Patrol's "You're All I Have."

It almost sounds a touch like 'ashes to ashes' by David Bowie. I like it :)

@IROUH0201 yeah agree I kept humming and mixing these two songs.

LOL @ the JJJ listeners...... thanks Alex & Tom!! awesome track 'Walking like a young John Wayne' sounds like the way my old man walks!! XD 2 thumbs uP!!!
bloody legend
I need to hear this song featured in PREACHER someday. Reminds me of when I was reading the comics.
rad song.
parts of this remind me A LOT of james blunt- "1973"
GREAT song however, i love his voice.
WOW 12 years and only 300k people watched this?? Some of them clicked by mistake and the other half wanted to actually listen
epic track

@N1XVAN same, tripple j keeps playing ittt!!! love it :D
A-Mazing.....
From 0:48-1.03 the melody sounds almost exactly like Nelly Furtado's Say It Right
Mad song.
@munibhuh From Sparkadia's new album The Great Impression. It's out on March 18 in Australia.
YEAAAAAAH, TRIPLE J!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Wonderful :)
it sounds like A-ha to me a little. i like the voice and love the song!!!!
Darlin', that man was JOKING! hahaha!
*falls down stairs*

yeah bzoi!!
@ivyleaguerecords And it's frigging fantastic!
@Bazelinez This has been driving me crazy for days but I just can't quite figure it out I feel like it's on the tip of my tongue. I'm sure the keyboard is from an 80's or early 90's song
more great oz music.

Why can't I buy this in the danish Itunes store?

@Bazelinez maybe 1973 by james blunt?
why this song do not ranked on top 1 of billboard
The music sounds just like David Bowie's "Ashes to Ashes". It wouldn't surprise me if they sampled the music from this song.
Im down stairs
it sounds like "say it right" by nelly furtado
100/10
Yeah look, I would LOVE to know why this song has only got 99k views.
@hazza96 i think you should read the lyrics...
what are the meanings to the lyrics? they're amazing but don't understand exactly what it means.
OH GOD THIS VIDEO IS KILLING ME OMF
@noddytheman Because of that line alone, this song is part of my imaginary "PREACHER" Soundtrack. If not the main title!
What album is this song from?
oh yeah, and I dunno why but I feel something similar to Hurts Don't let go...
@BluePandada It keeps happening
SeRiOuS LaGg!1!
Dat hair ;)
Phones charging
@1suedonim i think you are wrong
this shoulda have been higher in top 100 but i guess it came out way early and people forgot about it. rock it was a good song but no way in top 5
@NeonShadowsx I lol'd.
Fuck yeah, triplemj
