Lion_Turtle The over population has the easiest solution of all problems: Two parents = One kid. like china. That plus explaining normally and effectively about why they hae no brothers, and having the parents fully cooperate with this system. That way, population will decrease all over the world, and pollution awareness might be easier to accomplish. because as a kid, seeing everyone else throw stuff on the ground when they have a trash bin literally two meters away from them, causes most kids to do that too to 'look cool'. Adults need to show these ignorant kids that being cool is not aboutravaging your own home, and killing the potential of a future for that piece of land...

In my completely honest opinion, even after watching this video, I still manage to have much faith in humanity. I know that we are an outright imperfect species and have made terrible mistakes in our history, but we all have to learn to look past that stuff and still figure out how to solve our current problems in the world and at least teach each other how we can move forward as a species. All of us need to inspire our children in better ways so that we, as a species, will continue to evolve, behave better and become smarter together. I know this is just another comment on a TH-cam video, but if you actually read this comment, I implore you to think about this. I pray that Disturbed will regroup in the near future and create more true, real music for much of the world to hear. :)
The real problem is that there are too many humans on this planet, you could argue there is enough space to expand, but what of the many other species we rely on... As a species we have achieved great things, but the average man doesnt care...
Chillbot17 moons are horrible as no atmosphere leaves us vulnerable to micro meteorites and larger, that are traveling at 11,000 km an hour and higher....
It's not a pandemic, war, political corruption, human hypocrisy, selfishness, greed, pride or gluttony that's killing humanity but rather our complete disregard for how precious life truly is and our inability to care without wanting something in return is what's killing humanity once something dies there's no getting it back and human compassion for life itself has died and humanity itself is next. We're all gonna die because we've killed hope that we'll ever live harmoniously ever again and from my point of view we deserve it.

@@agstinacueva1673 naw we are all infinitely stupid... These words hit me the first time I heard them, like many of his wonderful songs, but this video brings me to tears everytime I see it. Why won't the whole world hear these words and head them.
This is so true... I just love how they have the potential in some of their songs to create great awareness of the incomparable deteriorative future we created for ourselves.
I was teenager when this came out and now I’m in my mid twenties and the climate crisis has only gotten worse. We’ve had decades to develop coherent strategies but we haven’t committed to anything meaningful. Past generations deserve to pay for their ignorance and arrogance but it’s us who need to fix their mistakes and stupidity.
11 years past, the sad fact is we are a lot closer to this apocalyptic vision than we were when the video was made. It was supposed to be a warning, instead it was merely a prophecy.
Greed, corruption, addiction, control freak obbession, pollution, irresponsiblity, cowardice, and lack of empathy and sympathy. Sad really so many make excuses ... history will repeat with humans in similar ways. Climate change happened before a bit with farming methods ( dust bowl), and can happen again more drastically other ways in science denial. Adaptation... we shall see if humans are ready later on. Awesome song.
no they will not be ready. they will be little more than entitled whiners who do nothing but complain about how unfair things are and how they are somehow "oppressed". face it, humanity is on the downward spiral and is far too prideful and arrogant to even ATTEMPT to change itself. so many ppl, Draiman included, all clamor for change but the sad fact is this: it will never happen as ppl refuse to change THEMSELVES. they'll proclaim on a loudspeaker till the cows come home for everyone ELSE to change but will refuse to do so themselves. its our nature to be selfish and self-centered. humanity itself hasnt changed AT ALL since our Fall in the Garden of Eden. our technology has changed and we have fancier toys and gadgets along with better ways to kill each other but humanity itself is exactly the same as its always been.
The song and the lyrics are superv, but the video is at the same level. The symbolism, the script, the powerful images, so much information condensed in so little time. I admire whoever did it.
+Amya Ride (Some Day) This song is made to think about how we live our life imo. Just like ,you know, you're the one who make your own future. Only you/I can make the decisions about our ideals/lifes; if not then we accept that our beliefs and what we want might be forgotten and never happen. Noone can be happy for you, noone can boycott corporation's products better than the individual (you, me) We have to understand that we're the ones needing to take actions, and our actions have consequences, which we have to be aware of before doing stupid things. If we find other people thinking alike on our way, it's for the best, but don't expect anybody else to make what you think has to be made. Kinda redundant, I know, but I can't allow poor people suffer for us to use our buypower. Neither can I let a small amount of people control crowd's actions and beliefs. Media will only tell you what they're told to/ will make money, mostly dramatic pictures and useless stuff. Reality is perception, change it and your reality will change. Either if you choose to be blind either you choose to oversee the worldwide shit we're into. Life keeps going on, but is human's purpose to serve a so-called democracy, working at least 8h/day being underpayed ? Is human kind's purpose to earn money just to spend it and feel better about the fact we're lost in a society were we have to struggle our way to be allowed to be apart of the world ? Aren't we supposed to help eachother ? Most of the time, innocent pay for the crimes of governments and corporations. Most of the time, poor people are the most willing to help others. But anyway, it's easier to rule 100 000 000 people spiting on eachothers' face than ruling 100 of them walking hand in hand. While we're wasting our time, animals, vegetals and humans are paying for our selfishness and our unability to take a break and doe the simple thing of thinking.
This IS us... The video is taking place in third world countries. Ice burgs are falling, people are starving, having to ration food and water, having it be rationed by militaries. The only reason this isn't America is because we are spoiled. Soon it will be if we don't change. Then were will we go? We need to change or this wont be us, there wont be any of us left.
CandNGamingSociety A simple thing people forget, this has been happening since humans started walking the earth. It was like that until society rose to better themselves. Will this be America? Not as a whole. Lesser areas will get this way but that is only because we do not kick out those who end up turning it like that. Kick out the greedy and selfish and we might have a chance.
fangsea You're right but it isn't happening since human lives on Earth. The industrial revolution created the biggest threat we sense nowadays. This global phenomenon is around for the last 200 years exactly. 19th century was a turning point downwards.
I know right no one shows respect to the artists that speaks the truth. And you as a individual yourself is criticized by everyone else for it BC you have a free thinking mind
I'm not proud to admit it...and I know he's speaking about the world as a whole(our,we,we'll) but in some aspects I can apply this song to my personal life😮😮😢
I still get goosebumps listening to this. people can't just keep being ignorant. this is probably pretty accurate to how the world will become if we don't change our tactics now. the earth isn't infinite - at one point in the future, things will get this desperate; the future won't be as fabulous as the movies depict it.

@Rabbi Shekelstein they're all equally bad bro, we're not enemies, our enemies are the elites who only care about power sy the cost of the earth, wether they be big business capitalists or socialist corrupt politicians they're all the same
@@beejusfingus then lets point the finger at the right people.
As of this point, there is no "socialist" enemy in America.
Get that shit off the table now.
There are the Republicans who are under the leadership of a far right corporatist, authoritarian, nationalist.
And center right Democrats who are bought by lobbyists to do the bidding of big business.
There is no left wing on this retarded eagle of a nation.
The moment we can kill the "both sides are bad" the better we will be.
@@Avalanche616 ? How are the Democrats centrists? Just because theyre bought by lobbyists that changed their political compass mapping? No man, you're not looking at the big picture. It doesnt matter right or left, authoritarian government is authoritarian and it's against freedom. There are far left authoritarian governments in the world. China. Basically the entire European Union. Every government run by men is essentially geared toward centralizing power and stripping humans of their natural right to freedom. If you think going radical left is going to change that, it wont, because radical left authoritarian is Communism and I dont really feel like starving to death. This country worked for awhile because our founders tried to write a full proof document, but they have failed because they didnt forsee big business or lawless agencies like the FBI or CIA.
What i like about Disturbed is that they talk about actual things that matter in their songs, unlike most mainstream pop songs...
songs now days are about sex and drugs. Fucking ridiculous. This generation doesn't know good music. Future generations are gonna fuck up the world more. I almost don't even want kids because I don't want them to suffer in this fucked up world

do you think the world is still the fucking same?
So what industry do you work in or do you contribute nothing to renewable energies etc but still talk shit about humans. I work in Electrical Engineering and I can tell you there is a fuck load being done people have no idea on the complications.
I do as much as anyone can. And of course, there's always complications. But the world as a whole is stuck in their own ways. Sure, new-age innovations help, and I'm glad there are those that try and help the environment, but I bet we're all too late to change the inevitable. There's also no need to swear and get heated over a comment on TH-cam. We all are just speaking our minds.
Yodiggydawgable Yes it's too late to change but for people to say humans are disgusting etc is beyond ridiculous and are merely speaking for themselves living in a ideal fairy land. I highly suspect if any other animal on this planet had the intelligence to progress to a level we did they would of caused just as many if not more issues. It's just tiring to see people with no idea comment on matters slating people off who are far more intelligent... if you want to make a change without hastags become an engineer, scientist and so forth.
As more time passes the more this song hits the spot

Makes me laugh how I have 77 likes on this comment yet I only said one simple sentence.
"I believe in humanity. We are an incredible species. We're still just a child creature, we're still being nasty to each other. And all children go through those phases. We're growing up, we're moving into adolescence now. When we grow up... man, we're going to be something!" - GENE RODDENBERRY
Do you actually believe that?
Cody Golden Yes.
If 'growing up' takes another 80 years, then it'll be too late, because by 2090 this planet will be overpopulated and poluted so much that there won't be no way back, and our only choice would be to colonize Mars.
"We most likely won't over populate because each and every government would probably 'cut down the population'".
I love Disturbed for their range of songs like this and "Land of Confusion".
"Land Of Confusion" is a cover of a song from "Genesis"
Nice, I should look into that.
Luciano Ballardini Dun quote band names, bruh.
When this song came out, I was 15 years old, and it changed my life. At some point, you realize how truly terrible we are. We ruin the environment to the point that species die out, and we don't care, and we won't care, until its too late to save ourselves.. :'(
And i constantly see online retorts like “Humans are part of nature, so how can we be bad for it.” These people often also believe a higher power made humans superior and therefore humans can do whatever they want to nature.
@@MsPoliteRants tends to be the case. It still completely baffles me that the US government is based on Christianity. To me it is insane to make one of the compulsory character traits to get into presidency is to be Christian. So in other words, you need to be delusional and illogical in order to qualify.
Same with Australia. It sucks were relying on those governments to do the correct thing.
Absolutely. That's why I don't drive a car and I'm proud of it. When I was a kid I never really wanted to because I knew they were bad for the environment, and I haven't changed my stance on it. Fuck gas powered cars, and fuck gasoline in general.
WE???
No.
The greedy ppl, the materialistic ppl who 'need' everything they see, or 'need' what a friend has bought etc. A new car, phone while the one year old is working perfectly! The ppl who 'need' new cloths because it's fashion, while their 3 month old clothes are thrown away! Following trends, must haves, brrrrr.
These ppl is not we. Definitely not me.
I love how they actually sing about important things, it's not just music.
I am always amused by the ignorant people who don't realize how messed up the world truly is.
Those who have not gotten out and seen it should never bitch about it.. Our world will continue to plummet until chaos is all that is left. this song more or less says the same. Everybody is sad over this.. But until people do something themselves.. nothing will ever change.
That is true but when I'm president everything will be better
If we last that long.. I will be impressed. Politics and many people need to be purged to make a true change.
Ik we will because if slavery lasted then people lived longer since 100 B.C
It was a necessary thing for many cultures.
However when equality pops in.. I say you cat civilized and earn your equality then you have it. Unless I am proved somebody is unequal, I judge them as equals until then. However politics like in Rome or the oldest parts of history.. are the source of most war and conflict next to religion.
True but have you ever played fable
THIS song should have as much views as gingham style or whatever it's called.. But, that's why we are doing the way we are. People have no idea!!! Look around, we're all killing ourselves and we don't even know it..
There are plenty of new bands lately, but those fellas have something exclusive!

James O are you sure? Cause US oil companies have been fracking like crazy here in the US for a long time I can just imagine oil companies outside the US. No there isn’t a water crisis but I wouldn’t be so confident to say the world is doing just fine if you don’t really know

None of this can be objectively traced back to "climate change", but the media and pseudo-scientists at organizations like IPCC don't care.
I used to listen to this when I was a child.
The meaning didn’t hit me until I was older. 💔
When a metal band like disturbed manage to create a song more relevant and powerful than the so-called religious band backed by big churches, you know there's something wrong with the world. And there's certainly something hidden, religion and other similar tool like the media used to distract from the real issue like the environment. This is still one of disturbed best song to date
While I agree with what you said, many churches actually dedicate a lot of work towards charities and helping disadvantaged people. Don't generalise.
Actually, it's not church's fault. Even not religion's fault. Is fault of the capitalist industries, politic divisions, the goverment nations and also our same fault.
If we want the change, we must start firstly with us. We must start recycling, control the merchandising massive production and save more water. There's still more things that we can do to save us, specially the Earth, until the ozone layer fade away.
You know the Devil goes to Church
Religion has ALWAYS been a method of controlling the proletariat, ALWAYS.
Giant forest fires around the world... COVID-19, a global pandemic still occurring... Snowing in Texas of all places, being colder than Alaska and people dying of hypothermia in their homes...
Yep. Our endless maniacal appetite left us with even more ways to die.
The fact that this song was made so long ago and nothing has improved since then is truly heartbreaking. It really is the case that no one is listening.
Things are accelerating. That is a change. For the worse.
Everything happening is being implemented
Can we repent in time?
The problem isn't no one listening it's the inability to force wide sweeping changes to a heartless inhuman machine that refuses to change.
The Good Left Undone was released four years before this song. The relevance of both songs has only increased with age. Disturbing. We really should rise against this shit.
its been 11 years and its 2022 im still here, i close my eyes and i see my teenage self back again head banging on this one.

Anyone find it scary that this came out a while ago and this turning out to be true? I dont practice religion but one thing is true. Man will be the destruction of themselves. Heartbreaking, but very True. Awesome tune👍👍
it's been known for decades that Man would bring about it's own end one day, we are capable of both good and evil, and it is the dark side of our nature that is causing us towards this final course, it's only a question of when, not if.
*I'm personally more fucking disgusted*
people are to busy to become professionals that we've forgotten to realize that the world.doesn't need people with collars and ties but people who care and nurture the earth.
Search videos of Eagles grabbing goats and tossing down sides of mountain to eat. Nature won't nurture you the way you want to nurture it. Right now you live in a fictitious utopia outside of reality. If electricity were to disappear tomorrow, you may not be singing the same tune about loving nature.
Caring about and helping the earth doesnt pay my bills. A paycheck does. And I cant get a good enough paycheck just to be alive without a collar and tie.

Well said brother!
The real problem is that there are too many humans on this planet, you could argue there is enough space to expand, but what of the many other species we rely on...
As a species we have achieved great things, but the average man doesnt care...
We're the problem but we're also the solution!

Everyone really should have listened to disturbed. But it’s to late now.
I agree!! 👍👍👍👍

This song fits the world we are living in very well at the moment
November '22. This song is still relevant now and little if anything has changed.
Well shit... That was political and real as fuck. We need to learn from Disturbed. Fix ourselves. Wow.
+Amya Ride (Some Day) This song is made to think about how we live our life imo.
Just like ,you know, you're the one who make your own future.
Only you/I can make the decisions about our ideals/lifes; if not then we accept that our beliefs and what we want might be forgotten and never happen.
Noone can be happy for you, noone can boycott corporation's products better than the individual (you, me)
We have to understand that we're the ones needing to take actions, and our actions have consequences, which we have to be aware of before doing stupid things.
While we're wasting our time, animals, vegetals and humans are paying for our selfishness and our unability to take a break and doe the simple thing of thinking.
sad but true this WILL be us in idk how many years
This IS us... The video is taking place in third world countries. Ice burgs are falling, people are starving, having to ration food and water, having it be rationed by militaries. The only reason this isn't America is because we are spoiled. Soon it will be if we don't change. Then were will we go? We need to change or this wont be us, there wont be any of us left.
yep
CandNGamingSociety A simple thing people forget, this has been happening since humans started walking the earth. It was like that until society rose to better themselves. Will this be America? Not as a whole. Lesser areas will get this way but that is only because we do not kick out those who end up turning it like that. Kick out the greedy and selfish and we might have a chance.
fangsea So many people overthink/overreact ._.
fangsea You're right but it isn't happening since human lives on Earth. The industrial revolution created the biggest threat we sense nowadays. This global phenomenon is around for the last 200 years exactly. 19th century was a turning point downwards.
Aber auch sehr traurig zu sehen, wie sich die Welt doch immer mehr zum schlechten verändert!!!! Ich wünsche mir Frieden! Für jeden! 🤟🤟

people can't just keep being ignorant. this is probably pretty accurate to how the world will become if we don't change our tactics now. the earth isn't infinite - at one point in the future, things will get this desperate; the future won't be as fabulous as the movies depict it.
