The correct fuses are available , old ali express, couple of quid, ,delivery isn't that quick though , bit stubborn but they do flick out and push fit

Only 4ah have these fuses, doesn't apply / work with other Makita batteries, board change is the only option for the others

That tiny wire will act as a fuse… burn and break the connection.
