I once played this during late night (at least for my 5 year old self) and it so happened the cartridge was loose and it made that god awful sound that haunts me to date. I was never really the same.
Frank was not the only thing that scared me in the Tractor Tipper. I was also terrified by the race announcer talking quietly at the very start of the race and saying “Watch out for Frank!”, the sound of the tractors tipping, and the way the narrator says, “Press the B button to make some noise and scare the tractors.”
22:27 i remember struggling with the minigame cause i was very young, this is like my first horror game cause i was always afraid frank was behind me too lol
Believe it or not, Lightning McQueen was named after Pixar supervising animator Glenn McQueen who passed away due to complications from melanoma. Finding Nemo was being produced during this time and the film was dedicated to him.
Ahhh, sweet nostalgia. I had a green Leapster 2 with Cars, Junie B. Jones: Personal Beeswax, Finding Nemo, Dragons to The Rescue when I was 5 and I wasn't even enrolled in school yet. My stupid dad took it away from me in 2020 without letting me know. To this day, I am still hankering to retrieve another Leapster 2 and promised to keep it for as long as I live. (Fun Fact: If your Leapster 2 had Dragons to The Rescue before LeapWorld and the Learning Path app for the Leapster 2 got taken down, there's one secret: When you beat the game and go back to the home menu, you might notice that the apps have changed. Creativity Castle is now Dragon Kingdom. Game Downloads is now SD Downloads. The cartridge game icon and the Connect for Rewards icon remain unchanged.)
That Frank level scares me more now than it did back when I was a kid. I know it’s just one element of the game but it could definitely find it’s niche in the horror game genre.
I prefer the real reason I got into videogames. (Begging my parents to buy a Nintendo DS Lite) I said, the real reason. (Playing on the family PS2) I said, the real reason. (Playing Super Mario: All-Stars at my grandmother's house) I said, the real reason. (Playing on the Leapster and the V.Smile) Perfection.
God I must have been 5 I just had a memory of this game and found it online after digging. I would play this after getting ready early in the morning for preschool, forgot about the console and don't know where the hell it went.
i remenber when I was about 7 and I was in a schoolbus playing this when some friend came and watch me. He was nice enough not to tell any teacher that I was playing this

Oh my gosh for some reason the tractor tipping one was super scary for me when i was a kid. Essentially when Frank gets closer, i think its just the pixel quality that caused it though 😅
11:11 White water canyon is my most favorite track to race in! ^_^ Cause you have to watch out for Boulders, 11:12 Lightning, 11:16 And Flash Floods 11:21
Never had this cartridge but now i really wish i had. This gotta be the best leapster cartridge i’ve ever seen. Btw what happens when you get caught by Frank on the tractor tipper?
Only true gamers had this handheld console🤩👌🏼
I had a different kind. It was like this but it look kinda like a PSP. I got a LeapPad later.
@@ncrtrooper2856 You are not a true gamer, sorry.

the glitchy loud noise when you pull out a GBA cartridge didn't haunt me but that scared the crap out of me when i heard the noise from the leapster
MurderousReptile ssdl
TBH, I wasn't really scared of it.
Repent!
Repent and believe the gospel.
Man brings a tear to my eyes. This was one of the best things i got as a kid for christmas

How old were you when Frank used to terrify you? He terrified me when I was five.
@@FurbyFan-bx5bd I was like three years old, and I would have nightmares about Frank chasing me
@crazypnut9260 That level was my favorite. Sometimes I purposely let him get me out of curiosity
Can't believe im really 14 now, the nostalgia is real. Frank really brings back them terrifying memories 🤣
So true even though I played the Spanish version of this game back in 2015 to 2017 and that is before I use rechargeable batteries for controllers.
*YOU'VE GOT THIS RACE IN THE BAG*
The Frank part scared me when I was little. 😂
So F-ing nostalgic.... I remember when I didn't know what the heck I had do to progress when I ended up at Flo's Cafe XD
Kids nowadays grow up with a switch, the real ones grew up with a leapster😎

Oh my gosh same!

I would turn off the game when Frank got too close because I was scared of him.

I remember playing this game when I was like five or six. My favorite race is White Water Canyon and my favorite car is Ramone.
Same to both
I like the boulders and the lightning in the level ^^
The voice of Ramone was also the voice of Banzai the hyena.
For me, my favorite race was Whitewater Canyon but my favorite car was Flo.

Flo has a different one. I know because I recently played the Frank level late a couple nights ago to see if I was still terrified of it
@@feebeefranjeffy2253 I don’t know if Flo had a horn sound in the movie.
Me neither. But Flo’s horn sounded different than the other cars in this game. Well at least Mater and Ramon
@@feebeefranjeffy2253 Yeah, Mater and Ramone did share the same horn sound.
