ik this is kinda late but at 5:28 instead of going back up the way you do when i was going for s rank, i went straight back to boss room, got all the orbs there and fought the 4 chimeras and then continued on to the start of the mission. There, the fence that is blocking the bridge is broken and u can jump up there and be right outside the credo fight. What u did was cooler, just wanted to point this out.
Capcom sure made the Force Trip a lot more usable here . In DMC 3 SE , it was not bad , but it certainly wasnt so effective + the time it takes to throw the sword

You don't. It's pretty random. However, what i've been doing here is using Storm Swords to get rid of the tentacles. You can attack them freely for a while before their tentacles regenerate.

Hold the button during recovery frames. There are so many. I do it during a jump animation for example, so it's: jump->hold immediately before Vergil gets a chance to perform Helm Breaker... or, you can do it during the side roll animation as well.

Trust me it works! You're just not pressing it fast enough. You need to press X then hold your melee button immediatly before you even see Vergil jumping on your screen. If you can't, try the other method. Hold lock-on and do a side roll, left or right... while Vergil is rolling hold melee button. He will start charging. I'm not sure what was your other question about, since the translator wasn't 100% clear but... For Vergil's double button attacks like Judgement Cut End it's because most of us can't press both buttons at the exact same time every time. So, sometimes trick register before the other button. I found a method to fix that though... you can hold the trick button and while you're still holding it press the melee button. It will always 100% activate that double button attack without worrying about Vergil teleporting. Of course the negative about this method would be that you have to find a good time to press and hold the trick button and hold it until you press melee later.

To do more Million stabs you just mash the attack button as fast as you can. And for the combo you asked about just pause for half a second after the second hit then start mashing again.

Press and hold immeditly after you jump. The starting frames of your jump are dead frames that will not accept Helm Breaker as an input.
