- In this video you can see us preparing for the long-awaited rain. We spread slurry on some fields and mineral fertilizer on others, with our new fertilizer spreader Amazone ZA-X 902.
I used mix of NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium) and KAN (nitrogen) fertilizers.
This year we used more slurry since mineral fertilizers are so expensive.
First impressions with the new machine are pretty good, easy to operate and distribution of fertilizer seems nice and even.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I want to share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M.We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
I jam 🎶 when I’m milking cows and feeding the live stock it’s like it makes the day go fast then back at it again in the evening . Except when working out in fields all hour’s of the night mostly. Hay and straw early if possible while dry . Your green tractor does most of the work it’s almost equip with all the things you need love to have that tractor.

Recently discovered your channel. I farmed for many years on a small northern Wisconsin dairy farm. Retired from farming now. Wonderful videos you produce. I enjoy seeing how farming is done in other parts of the world. You seem to live in a very beautiful country there. A nice Fertilizer Spreader you got there, brand new machinery is always something nice.
the wheels are pretty handy, you can easily put it on the tractor or into the last little corner when you dont need it.

Nich purchase! ZA-X is a great series. If you can get one with an Amatron computer tand GPS they are damn amazing with how accurate they put down fertilizer.

Hi! I've been a subscriber for many years, and funny enough here I am, watching this video again 2 years later.
I'm considering buying a 2003 model of the ZA-X. I don't expect you to know much about this, but no harm in asking. I'm wondering if you have any experience spreading lime (not peletized) with your spreader.
It didn't work well with my old spreader with the lime bridging over the bottom, but it is much narrower in the bottom than the ZA-X is. I'm hoping that because the ZA-X is pretty wide over the outlet it will work fine.
Hi! Unfortunately I don't have any experience in spreading lime. But I think it would work just fine, as long as the material is dry 🤔
@@farmerspov4709 I'm also optimistic it will work as long as it's fairly dry. And if not, then at least it's a pretty good upgrade over the old tin can cone like spreader 😀

how many cows do you have, and how many liters do you take a day, I have 10 cows, but in Brazil there are many who stop milking, because the feed is very expensive and the price of milk is very low compared to the cost of production
We have 36 milking cows, around 800 l a day. Yeah its the same here, though we get some help from EU and government, otherwise it wouldn't be possible 🙄

Do you have experience with the kraffter / jarmet sr fertilitzer spreader? Looks like a strong simple spreader for the price
No I have not 🤔 actually I don't have any experience with disc spreaders, this is a big upgrade, our old one is from 1983 😁

@@farmerspov4709 you did some bad timing with this upgrade😅 The current price in belgium for nitrogen is 960euro/ton. I hope its a bit better over there?
@@zadnjikit indeed they look very good for the price. It doesnt have electrics, sensors or any other toys that come standard on the bigger brands and make it expensive. You press a button and it spreads thats it. Simple as it should.

Don't know about UREA but nitrogen was 840 €/t when I bought it, which would be around $940.
