- Song, dance and horseshoe throwing at the Connemara Festival of the Currachs.
Hundreds of spectators flock to the Connemara seaside town of An Spidéal (Spiddal) for ‘Féile Na gCurachaí’, The Festival of Currachs.
Sideshow events at the festival include a horseshoe throwing competition and traditional sean nós dancing.
The currach races had a section for junior rowers, and mixed category in which both men and women take part on the same teams,
Bhí coimhlint ghéar anseo go deireadh.
The main event of the day is the senior race, won by the Ó Catháins from An Cheathrú Rua.
