My Mother died in my arms over a year ago and everything Joey is saying is so fucking spot on. Thank you Joey. Thank you for making me feel secure about myself again.

@Mogas305 I'm sorry for your loss, stay strong and never forget her. I was estranged from my mother 15 years, I get the call. She'd passed, and we were unreconciled. Pain is daily. Just be happy with the time you had.
I’ve been listening to Joey tell stories about his mother for 6+ years now and NO ONE has been able to get him to open up like Sickler. An hour in and I’m in tears, and by the final minutes I’m laughing again. You two are a gift to mankind. Thank you for the happiness and the pain fellas!
“They were sisters... street sister, like you and I are brothers” Dude. That might not mean shit to a lot of people. But I know to folks like sickle cell that meant the world. Joey is a legend. So is Ryan. Such a great podcast.
A lot of it is embellished without a doubt. It starts with a real event, like if you were at a party when you were 17, and you could just make up stuff and make it unfold the way you wish it did or just whatever sounds entertaining.
Great episode. Joey is one of the most fascinating people and best story tellers. Ryan is the best podcast host out there right now, he just knows when to speak and when to just listen to his guest. As someone who is a honeydew through and through, this podcast really makes me feel less alone. Thank you to all involved!

I've been in love with this podcast since I first heard it in 2020. It means a lot to me. Tonight this episode especially means a lot to me because tonight my mother died. And there are some absolute nuggets of gold in this episode that I will always keep in mind. "We're all born with an expiration date." Thank you Ryan and Joey for years of laughs and deep insight with these podcasts.
Wow, @3:50 when Joey talks about if Tom's Dad died how he would reach out to make him laugh. After watching so many episodes of ymh, 2b1c, joey diaz you begin to feel like you know these ppl and connect with them. So many celebrities died this year but I never felt like I have now with Top Dog passing. I'm sure Joey reached out to Tom and did exactly this, RIP Tom Segura Sr., a fellow Marine, a Father, Husband of Charo the fart champ, wheezing at his own blonde jokes and making millions of us laugh at his blissfully ignorant sense of humor. He did so much for his community and led men in Vietnam. Amazing human being. -Semper fi brother
At 2:02:54. That face on Joey. That's true pain. Two seconds later, look at it again as Ryan talks to him. You want to talk about a full circle and bringing levity to a situation like they talked about at the beginning? Fucking brilliant episode. Sickler, you're the greatest. And Joey? Never change, my man.
Joey, I thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You are truly a light of the world and you better believe you’ve made your mother more than proud. Phenomenal human being and a legend at best. TREMENDOUS!
Sickler is an underrated interviewer. I mean, Joey seems like an easy guy to interview because Ryan didn't need to ask many questions. But Ryan asks great questions
