@@DrScribbles I mean, if I want to be *real* technical about it, or more accurately pedantic about it, I'd say vanilla WoW had in-game cutscenes: The ones you'd get upon character creation, the player camera rolling through Elwyn Forest or soaring over the rolling plains of Mulgore with Earl Boen expositing about your chosen race's history.
Ty so much for putting this video together. I have not had time at this stage in my life to play the new expansion, but love to keep up with WoW lore and what's going on in the story. Ty again!
Honestly kinda like that they just had an interlude expansion to flesh out more of the world even if the lore was all new. Glad they’re doing the next expansions in arcs so we have nice continuous plots. Also wtf did they do to my boy Wrathion he’s too shaggy

@@arthena2130 I really can't see that. Maybe it's just cuz I missed BfA and Shadowlands, but the two big bads in Warcraft are the Burning Legion and the Void. I don't disagree with your statement totally. Dragonflight has been one of those xpacs that you either love for the dragon flying & the changes to professions, or you hate because of the predictability. I really do believe that DF was a transition xpac and I have high hopes for The War Within, not just for the changes they are making all across the board but also because as a writer, I love the character arcs we are seeing with Thrall slipping into his wise old mentor phase and Anduin playing the reluctant hero.
@@DrScribbles the trailer looked good, that's about all I can say. Naturally I hope the expansion itself is as well, but I know better than to get invested too early. Okay, gotta admit, I'm impressed with how they do the in-game cutscenes now. The voicework and microexpressions in how they emote are really good.
It really has come a long way since the cutscenes from Vanilla.

You are correct. It was a bad choice of words on my part. When I said cutscenes I also meant cinematics.

Yes. Somebody needs to be a bit erratic and out there. Somebody that wants to do right and is willing to do some nasty stuff to accomplish that.
