This is a great explanation and way to shoot! This is exactly how I execute a two finger release. It’s what I call the OK 👌🏼 method. Focusing on keeping that position in my hand during the draw. For me when I’m under pressure I will be tense in the index! So I’ve learned to shoot that way against a heavier holding weight (and try to develop my sight picture and hold for that) with just enough stabilizer weight to keep me steady, all the while being patient while I wait for the index to give in to the shot! For me it’s all about practicing each shot the way I feel under pressure.
👍👍. Learning to have a relaxed hand for me translates to calmer relaxed mindset. The whole process from drawing to the break is a more “ casual?” technique. It makes taking a shot physically and mentally easier. Sounds nuts, but that’s what’s happening.
@@rcrchery It would be interesting to know whether there are archery methods that always work equally well, no matter how nervous or tense you are. This would largely minimize the mental factor. The other option would be to only train in a tense state when preparing for tournaments.

I agree completely. I find my bow hand is more relaxed doing this too, and like you said, overall it’s a much more relaxed shot.
Great video
Thanks for watching!
I think the biggest challenge will be to get the hand so relaxed during a tournament
It is for sure. Building it in for a checkpoint in your shot routine can help you remember though.
