College football has better schedules, i agree. I prefer watching games on a Saturday or Friday than compared to Sunday, Monday and Thursday NFL games. I barely ever watch Monday or Thursday night games because its a weekday, I got work. Sunday is usually family day so its awkward to fit that in. However, I'd say I still prefer the NFL over College football because of competition. Most games are pretty competitive because there is pretty balanced teams. In college, you got like 5-6 super teams that always have all the talent. Sure, there might be a few close competitive games but a lot of games are just one super team curbstomping a weak team and to me that's not very exciting.
To me the investment, passion, storylines are unmatched in college football. The upsets, the rivalries, the games will always mean more than watching the pros play for a paycheck. The actual talent is undoubted higher in NFL but I could care less to tune in unless it’s playoff football.
College Football is better because of the Fan experience bringing a community together. When the fans rush the field after winning a big home game, it's an experience that the NFL just can't beat.
I do think that another reason why College Football is usually more liked is because people from one state may not have a NFL Team so they enjoy the College team a lot more because it’s their team. For me being from Nebraska, we don’t really have any pro teams in Nebraska so most of my loyalty goes to the Mediocre college team I mean, it could apply for any other major sports league like NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.
When it comes to the product on the field the NFL is better. Literally everything else, the fanfare, rivalries, stadiums, tailgating, matchup and conference chaos, CFB is better.
Fan related stuff yeah CFB is better but everything else? No, cfb doesn’t come close. The stadiums are definitely worse too. Also the playoffs are way better too.
There’s just a certain feeling I get from watching college that I don’t get from the NFL. As a man approaching middle age, watching college football just makes me feel younger. I can’t explain it
I would’ve agreed with you til they expanded the playoff. Now level of importance is over. Top 4 was perfect. I would’ve looked the other way at top 7, but this expanded version in double digit seedlings is crazy
I think the expanded playoff makes for more important games later in the year. Also I think it'll help tremendously with recruiting to schools outside of the SEC
Another thing that makes it better is I don’t have to pay 400 dollars on TH-cam TV, to be able to watch my favorite team. From beginning of the season to end.
I'm going to be brutally honest here. The quality of play, both college and NFL, went way down last year. While there were many exciting, close games, I didn't feel like they were just filled with quality play. Now I feel like I'm going to get ratioed for this, but since I'm a Troy fan, I got very lucky seeing much high-quality play from the Sun Belt and especially that Trojan defense. But yeah, I feel like football IQ has dropped overall, and I have yet to see evidence that it will change in 2023.
NFL is superior in every way other than *maybe* fans for big schools. But I don’t care about that much cause I just like the much higher level of football and consistent competition on a weekly basis
Fun fact: College football used to have their own version of RedZone called ESPN GoalLine that was actually 10 or 11 hours of commercial free football instead of just 7 that ran from Noon to 11PM and then 3-11PM. However down side was GoalLine was only able to broadcast ESPN only games due to network restrictions.
So he says that there’s more games in college football and there’s a game on every minute of the day from 12pm to like 1 or 2 am but the reason for that is because there’s over 100 teams in college.. there’s only 32 in nfl with some on a bye week so yeah it’s easy to have an onslaught of games for college and he say’s because college is on a Saturday but like it’s always been like that and nfl has to be Sunday because why would they be Saturday with college.. that would be to much in one day.. but overall I’ve always enjoyed college more because of just the amount of chaos that happens each season and there’s just so many more teams to follow and I just genuinely enjoy it more.. but I still do love me some nfl football tho
College football has always been more prestigious, and always will be more prestigious. It's the last level of play where the guys playing are actually playing for sheer love of their team and the game. The NFL is a bunch of spoiled brats playing for the love of money. NFL fans care about whether their team wins or loses, but the players don't give a rat's behind...they get paid the same either way.
For me the biggest problem with college football, you kind of touched on it with basically the same 5,6 schools having all the talent but I was going to go further. For someone like me who lives in Buffalo, New York our college team is either bad/rebuilding or has a good enough season for a minor bowl game then loses the coach and best young players to bigger schools so we have to start over.
Same thing with Troy, no one ever wants to go there because everyone is either yelling ROLL TIDE or WAR EAGLE and there's just no room for the Trojans. I totally get it. At least you've got the Bills...
I have ESPN+ and I'm perfectly happy with the games. I love the small college football games. I stopped watching the NFL when all the kneeling started. I thought I would eventually start watching the games again but I haven't, I don't miss them and that was over five years ago. If you would've told me 10 years ago that I would not be watching NFL football now I never would've believed it.
Yet we just got done with a dominating Patriots dynasty and are likely in the midst of a Chiefs dynasty. Both CFB and NFL have this problem though it is much more seen in CFB
Michigan just won there first national title since 97 and became the first Big Ten team to win National title since Ohio State did in 2014 and Michigan played against Washington which is a Pac 12 team so last year we had a interesting National championship and with the playoffs expanding we can expect to see even non power conference schools in the playoff
But college football has more channels and they all can play any day like the Mac and the little conferences have games Monday-Saturday so it’s basically football every day
I agree with the schedule part I like how college does some games like every day of the week it’s better than nfl because nfl does like just a big slate of Sunday games and 1 or 2 Monday and Thursday night games
Theres still running game in college.the nfl is like 80 %pass 20%run.the college game is more balanced.watching air force win against spread offence teams makes my day

NFL all day and only because in NCAA Football if your not a blue blood your team will probably never win a title. I’m a Bears and a Fighting Illini fan. As bad as both my teams have been there is a fat chance in hell that it’s possible that one day the Bears will win the Super Bowl. And realistically my Illini will never win a National Title.
I’m much more of a college fan. Theoretically though if they were to switch NFL to Saturday and college to Sunday I’d probably flip. I agree it’s more of a “vibe” thing
75% of college championships ending 70-0. No competition, teams are recruited and bought. College football is objectively a worse product regardless of your opinion. Imagine spending your Saturday’s watching Alabama beat the shit out of western Kentucky, and that’s literally HALF OF THEIR GAMES
This is objectively wrong. Not nearly 75% of championships end in blowouts. Don't compare college money to nfl money. And as a cfb fan I wouldnt watch a blowout, no matter the teams, And in the past eleven years the NFL had a 31-9 Sb, a 24-10 SB, a 13-3 SB, and a 43-8 SB. Talk about snoozefests.
The problem I have with NCAAF is there are way too many teams and not enough playoff spots. The end result is very few meaningful games. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this but to fix it I would expand the playoffs like crazy. College football has a unique opportunity with over 300 teams. They have way too few playoff teams. What I would do is shrink the regular season to about 9 games but give every non playoff team a bowl game so every team gets at least 10 games. That's only 2 fewer games than the current schedule. The upside of doing that is you could roll out something very unique like a 256-team playoffs. So only the worst teams wouldn't make the playoffs and they would still get 10 games. I would make the playoffs a reseeding playoff and none of that stupid March Madness style bracket system. Brackets are incredibly unfair to the teams who do the best. If you are ranked 256th and you win then you get to be ranked 128th in a reseed. In brackets you get to jump from 256th to 1st off one win. It's just stupid and it disincentives regular season effort to go with a bracket. So in my way there would be 9 regular season games and the teams who miss the playoffs would get a 10th bowl game. If you make the playoffs you get at least 10 games as well. If you go jall the way you play 17 games. 17 is about where it is now for some teams with the 12-team playoffs and the conference championship games and bowl games ao everyone gets at least 10 games. No one plays more than 17. The top 128 teams get 11 games. The top 64 teams get 12. Top 32 get 13. Sweet 16 get 14. Elite 8 get 15. Final 4 get 16. The National Championship would be the 17th game for the top 2 teams. It would reseed to make it much more fair than any bracket though. So if you are undefeated and the #1 team after the first 9 games you face the #256 seed team. If you qin that then in the 2nd round you face the #128 seed. 3rd round #64. 4th round #32. 5th round #16. 6th round #8. 7th round #4. Final round #2. This plan would create FAR FAR FAR more meaningful games throughout the entire season while giving even the worst teams 10 games and keeping the maximum game total equal to the current 17 games. Avoiding the dumb bracket system will keep it fair for everyone. This system would make it so much more interesting than probably any other sport in the country. There would be some teams who lose their bowl game in this system but guess what... They would be replacing those bowl games with actual playoff games that actually matter. This would make college football so much more interesting for EVERYONE. College football is so screwed up. Over 90% of teams know for a fact they have zero shot at the title no matter what they do before the season even starts. For perspective the NBA, and NHL (as well as MLB at one point) have 30 teams in their leagues and 16 of them make the playoffs. College football is so ass backwards that they have over 300 teams and only 4 make the playoffs. I think they may have just now expanded it to 12 but that's still WAY too low for a 300+ team league when 30 team leagues have 16. A reseeding 256 team playoff fixes that. A lot more people will care about games when the teams playing have a real shot at making the playoffs. Right now less than 10% of college football games have even 1 team that even stands a chance of making the playoffs. When those games happen only fans of those colleges watch or even care at all. Every football fan wants to watch potential playoff games though. Everyone watches the National Championship whether they went to Georgia, TCU or neither. Let's grow the sport. Grow the viewership. Everyone wants to watch playoff games and games that might have playoff teams. Very few people.want to watch games where everyone already knows niether team stands a snowball's chance in hell of making the playoffs. A reseeding 256-team college football playoff would fix that. It would also be very interesting and very fun to watch for EVERYONE even if it's games between schools they may have never even heard of.
I like College Football more but I feel like people romanticize it way too much. The atmosphere is way better but the quality of play is way better in the NFL. The NFL has close games constantly but since they happen so often, people seem immune to them. A good CFB game gets treated as a game of a decade because everyone is so used to the blowouts that happen. Also, with the atmosphere being so intense, it makes CFB games seem way better.
I still think college football will be disaster I still think players will opt out of playoffs, think of Caleb Williams let's just say USC in playoffs and he's not to play there's no NIL$$$ enough for him to jeopardizing his NFL future and how could you be upset
NFL and NCAA need to change one rule: No fair catches on punts. Defending team must stay 5 yards away from the ball before the punt returner touches it or it's a 15-yard penalty, resulting in long punts being rewarded and muffed punts punished as the punt returner can field it without getting creamed (no more muffed punts bouncing 30 yards further downfield).
Love collage football so much but nfl is much better like much better I love collage football but nfl is much much better like more hidden games more interesting games I do love the 12 team playoffs and my Florida gators but my jags are my heart my destiny same as Florida but it hits different for the nfl and everyone knows it

College football should merge with the NFL…32 college teams 32 NFL teams, play by NFL rules…USC@ Detroit,Kansas state@Kansas City,New Orleans @Alabama
Clown
Never watched college football, was always a nfl guy but then my gf goes into Texas A&M and even tho we wasn’t good this year the atmosphere omg is so beautiful and bad fucking ass
Depressed Ginger please pin me
Who watched college football? Boring and weird! NFL is way better! No brainer!
No way
I’m sorry NFL will always be better than college
Are you drunk?
NFL rigged cfb not rigged real games real outcomes
Georgia for the three-peat.
Six teams should be the Max, considering what is available.
Every week matters in college.
I also like college a lot more
@breadandcircuses8127more games and it more exciting
One reason it’s better because college teams score more points than nfl teams even though it seems nfl is a more popular sport than college
I will always love college football. The NFL is not what it use too. Plus NFL need to create more rivalries and end that every 4 year AFC/NFC conference scheduling. Yes NFL need more late games and some Friday games.
XFL AND USAFL THEY GOOD TOO
CFB has always been way better
Right now yeah
I love college football, but high school football is my true favorite.
Oh man
Watching this video after this season and listening to you say Lincoln Riley maybe as a typical team aged liked milk
