Chris Sale and Lopez were probably two of the top 5 moves made by an organization before the season started this year....absofuckinglutely amazing foresight by AA and his peeps. Well done sir
It was an easy move man. Sale has spent the majority of his career in the AL. That matters. And he was already an ace. Lopez has been the bigger surprise. But Sale has been more dominant.
I'm sorry, but I'm the braves fan that tells the truth about the team. We aren't going to be more than a wild card team, and will exit the playoffs, buy the Phillies again. The GM needs to go, bringing back mostly the same players every year isn't working, also these minor league players aren't working either. We need to get rid of arcia, and all these new bums we got
@@patrickcrum204The only other solution to the problem is for the Braves to do something that we know they're not.......spend money to get the players that they need.
@@patrickcrum204he is bringing back mostly the same players because those players are really good and set multiple records last year. And he even upgraded in some of the weak spots they had such as LF and starting pitching. Losing Strider after 2 starts for the season, Acuna out for the season after 49 games, losing Murphy after 1 at bat for 40 games, Riley missing several weeks plus AJSS missing several weeks when he looked like he could fill the 5th/6th spot in the rotation and multiple guys in the bullpen missing time if not out for the season. Not sure you can really plan for all of that.

Yeah, I watched it from all angles and it was way too close to overturn, and yet they did. It looks like the catch maybe almost tagged his shoulder but also looked like Riley slid around the glove.
I'm a big fan of Solar myself after he won us that Championship in 2021, will forever appreciate him for that and at that time I wish the Braves had resigned him, but my reservations now against bringing him back is that he is a very injury prone player, the Braves have more than enough players sitting on the IL and we don't need to take on another Hugh contract for a player who may or may not be able to help us down the stretch, I will always wish Jorge Solar the very best.
That guy did not catch Rileys ball in the outfield. Should replayed that. Kelnic was safe too on the close play. And Im sure Riley was safe at home on that one play. It was damn close. These umps are atrocious.
New York must have had some angle that none of us did because there isn't a chance they had grounds to overturn that safe call on Riley based on the looks we saw on the broadcast.
Man if Sale and Lopez keep it up and we extend them with Fried, Spencer Schwellenbach heats up, and pair them with Strider that rotation will be the best in the league next year, if not best in league history.
I remember during the off-season people were complaining about Sale and how he's all washed up. Hell, since Strider went down, he and Fried have been our most dominant pitchers. We just need to get some runs for them
Kudos to Sale to finish 6. But why did Snit wait until he was “in trouble” before getting someone warmed up? You had to know Sale was coming to the end of his night. Thankfully Sale is a crafty vet who knows how to pitch. Unlike the previous night, when Lopez showed obvious signs of being tired and Snit pushed him…
The only reason we aren't as good as we should be, isn't cuz acuna is out, he was in a slump all season, but it's cuz we only have 3 good starting pitchers, sale, fried and Morton, so don't try and come back saying all these other pitchers you are about to name, are any good. Our whole bullpen is lousy, and our closer isn't nearly what we need
Replace Morton with Lopez. Morton has been so/so this year so far. This team isn’t a juggernaut this year but is a giant-killer for the playoffs with 3.5 pitchers (that half a pitcher is Charlie). This regular season may not be great but be good enough to make the “tournament.”
Sadly he does thus far, logically you'd think that a hitter of his caliber would break out of a big slump eventually but what can you say at this point? He's been in this slump for the vast part of this season.
Last year he figured out NL pitching, this year NL pitchers have figured him out, he’ll get better, but he’ll never be Freddie. It’s time to stop expecting him to be.
@zacharydietz9089 Time will tell but I will say this......the only advantages that Olson have over FF right now is that he is younger and he hits for more power ( which haven't been made evident this year ) Freddie is a more versatile hitter with greater patience at the plate and while Matt is good defensively I think Freeman holds the edge there too.
@@lawrencescott1048 Olson will be the better investment, player-wise, especially with his contract, but Freddie was clutch for the Braves during the playoffs, Olson hasn’t been yet. What the team lacks now is leadership, Freddie was that, Olson is not. We haven’t gone anywhere in the postseason since Freddie left. Olson is a very good, power forward first baseman, top 5 in baseball, but he’s not a leader, and he never will be. He will probably never hit 54 hrs again. The Braves need a clear leader in the clubhouse and offense. Austin Riley needs to become that new leader.
@zacharydietz9089 With the exception of leadership Olson does have the potential to become much like FF with the right hitting instructions, there's still time for him.
