Sunset Cruise in the 1966 Cyclone GT 390

So far have driven this Cyclone 1000 trouble free miles!
Drove car to dinner first then took the long way home and stopped for a chocolate shake.
Close to 150 miles this past weekend.

Thanks! Lots of time behind the wheel this past weekend. Took it first on cars n coffee saturday then sunday took it out to dinner about 36 miles each way then took detour to another place for Chocolate shake chasing the sunset.

Really sounds solid,, what's the rear axle ratio ?
I'm gonna guess and say 3.25...

Yep! Really needs a 3.00 or 2.75 or a added OverDrive for freeway use. I am used to really tall gears. My daily driver truck is 47 mph per 1000 RPM which is a bit tall . .

The ol Ford standby 2.75 was for years and still is the sweet spot..
She was pretty dang quiet with the 3.25 though !! @@randysrestoration
