- One of the most common questions I get is how I make my nice cream or smoothie bowls so thick and creamy. Many people struggle with this because they use too much liquid in their bowls and/or no frozen fruit. In this video I give you a full tutorial of how I make my perfect smoothie bowls with that fluffy, creamy and thick texture everyone wants!

For those asking for a banana free nice cream, here is a tutorial of "How to Make a 🍌-free Nice Cream"! th-cam.com/video/S0-O4PwJySU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you my wife and I will try it !
Well wow 👌 delicious 😋 delicious 😋 😍 😜
I did this and it was pretty thick and creamy and my blender ain’t so expensive....Thank you so much for the help
Glad you succeeded :)
You can also a foodprocessor thats what i am doing. I love it. It comes out thicker. Oeps i said somthing wrong😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏼✌🏽👋🏼🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌🍌 i love you,re nice cream recipes
where did you get your blender from
AbcKeme what blender do you use ?
What’s the brand?
If you don't have an expensive blender you can use a food processor and use the cheese grater attachment and a little almond milk and it'll come out really well. Also, it's super important not to over blend. Your blender/food processor heats up pretty quickly when you're using it and it'll start to melt the fruit. Blend for the minimum amount of time
woah... cool but I don't even have a food processor... the only 'blendy' thing I have in my house apart from a hand mixer is the Oster mason jar blender. It literally only blends liquids, soft fruits, and soft veggies. Help. 😂
Yes¡¡ that's true
I used frozen bananas, frozen cherries, and a spoon full of cocoa powder. Top with slivered almonds or black walnuts. It’s delicious!
So satisfying when it’s in the blender
Guys ! YES you can make an banana ice cream with a cheap blender ! But you just have to put your banana and blend, for me it turn into a small piece but next i take a spoon and push the banana in the bottom of the blender and blend you just have to repeat this 2/3 times and you have a banana ice cream without any milk ! When i put milk the ice cream melts faster so dont put milk or water :)
(btw my english is not perfect uhu)
Thank you so muchh i only got banana now 😭
Do you think I can make a smoothie bowl in the homgeek Blender Smoothie Maker, Personal Blender??
Watching that swirl form was quite satisfying.
Jhezrel Valentine what button do you press to do thhe swirl?
I don’t have many dragon fruit where I live, so I used frozen strawberries, it came out sooooo good! Thank you so much!
Everyone PEEL BEFORE U FREEZE
I made the same mistake but I took them out at let them defrost and then I cut it 👍
I’m guessing u put a whole banana in the freezer
Andrea Jasyl it didn’t go well...
when i got mine out the freezer with the skin on my mum looked at me like wtf have u done😂
Hamiljuice yupppp learned this that hard way ☹️
It’s Easier to cut the bananas before freezing them bc then u don’t have to put all your strength into cutting them when there hard as rock
Sophia FiaTia Sure- but mine always stick together. You’d probably have to to cut or rip them apart. Cutting them once after they’re frozen instead of twice could be better🤷♀️
Bananas don’t freeze rock solid because of the sugar content actually
Jackie QB In my experience, they do tho?
Koo Tae mine always stick together too, to the point where i have to get a knife and cut sections off of the “frozen banana block”💀
Koo Tae I cut them and place the pieces flat out separate on a plate and freeze them. After they’re frozen you can store in bag or container and they won’t stick :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I made the best “nice cream” ever because of your tips. I used 1 cup of frozen blueberries, 6 frozen bananas (sliced), 6 pitted dates, and 1/4 cup almond milk. My vitamix stopped working before I got to finish but it came out soooooo good, thick and creamy. I let the vitamix cool down for an hour and was able to turn it on again, thank God! 😃
Me making it: wait something’s not right?
Also me: * realizes I’m using a normal blender...
L O S E R you can use a regular one just blend slowly so it doesn’t dissolve into liquid
Other tutorials use cup blenders like the bullet & blend slowly
You used all the bananas in the dang house girl that better last a month
She used 4
@@talkandeattv ..right
Lol!
@ Tee Tee 🤣🤣🤣
I use 30 a week
if you don’t have a vita mix blender, a food processor works well too and makes thick smoothie bowls similar to this one!
It works with a food processor too guys and I got mine from amazon for $30 and it works like a charm
Me too its so good
Looks yummy. I make nice cream and add cacao nibs since I like a little crunch.
How funny, I made this this morning with frozen pitaya pieces. I wish I could get ahold of fresh pitaya. Beautiful!
Papaya is also super good!
That would be sorbet
You're right. That "swirl" is very satisfying!
Yo, anyone else notice how she's pressing down on the beat around 3:14
Seeing the blender blend without the cap is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo satisfying!!! Gr8 video!!
it was like art! but ooh a tweeny bit scarey too!
she put 10 bananas in there
She put 4
But look inside that 10
It's insane
the banana is the base its what everyone puts in their smoothie bowls (idk why she called hers ice cream) but if u dont like bananas they dont put it in
Tea Is spilled oh she called it right. And it’s not ice cream, it’s nice cream. Nice cream is like a thick paste of blended fruit , often milk or nuts too. It has to be cold , so it often tastes like ice cream, but way healthier of course.
A smoothie bowl isn’t always cold. It can be warm too
So sis, if you’ve got no idea whatcha talkin’ bout, just don’t :)
“I use a Vita Mix- “
Clicks off the video 😂
You broke lol
Scott Babcock must be talking about yourself

Protip, buy one of those small single glass "personal size" blenders and they work just as well for things like this. They can blend as well as a vitamix but only cost like 15-30 dollars. It works because they use the power of a cheap blender but the glass is simply smaller so they have way more power proportionally. The downside is you can't make a bunch all at once but its not hard to work around.
I’ve been making banana ice cream for a year or two and have a generic blender, it just takes awhile and you have to stop it a lot but it ends up just as thick and creamy. I love it with cocao powder
Thank you!!! I’m going to try this and see if it works. I put it on high right away and was impatient thinking something was wrong with my blender
Pink Papaya? Ummm pretty sure that's a Dragon fruit lol
I think I actually said "Pink Pitaya" :D that's what they call pink dragon fruit here
@@AlexandraAndersson All good, love the video nonetheless. Sorry it was the inner journalist coming out in me.
Pink pitaya? Not papaya
Crypto Global News Team LOL
Crypto Global News Team dragon fruit is white with black dots.. and I don’t like your sass
Actually Vitamix recommends speeding up to 10 pretty quickly when making thick things like nice cram, nut butters or hummus, because it activates the internal cooling fan and will actually cool your engine better than on the lower speeds when the internal fan is not on full blast. So using full speed actually protects you Vitamix from overheating and stopping :D You are more likely to overheat your engine making these things on low speed! (This information is from Vitamix themselves by the way, and I have the exact same blender as you and I love it!)
I did not know this! Thank you for sharing this 😁 Gonna try and make it on higher speed next time
@@AlexandraAndersson You are very welcome! :D We all want to keep that blender healthy and alive! Really like your channel so far by the way, just found it the other day, and although I'm not vegan I definitely appreciate vegan food and want to incorporate it more. It's also fun that you're a fellow swede! Hej Hej!
I just made tasty chocolate “gelato”, I wanted to share it:
2 C frozen watermelon chunks
1/2 C frozen dark cherries
Put into food processor with
3 TBS MCT oil (to help not freeze solid)
31 C cocoa ( more or less to taste)
1 C water
1/4 C erythritol
1 tsp almond oil
Pulse for a couple minutes, then
Blend until smooth and we’ll combined
I can’t even taste the watermelon. It’s just a tangy sweet chocolate flavor. 😋 Yum! Try it!
love the positive vibe your giving off! Very helpful and down to earth and real, something that’s hard to find these days. Just subbed ❤️ keep up the amazing content
I love that pink colour
The perfect hot day refreshing snack!
Great video :) Personally though, I make nice cream every day for breakfast, and I use 2 fresh bananas along with the jucie from half a lemon. Then I add around half a cup of frozen mango and about 8 frozen strawberries. This produces the same result more or less, and it's easier since I never have to freeze anything, can just buy already frozen strawberries and mango :P Cacao nibs are a great topping, and I usually add a handful of cashews into the food processor towards the end of the blending, just to add a few nut chunks in there. Great taste :)
So you made a smoothie bowl
That's not a smoothie bowl. Completely different blending techniques.
Jamaal Richardson no it’s a smoothie bowl
Kiara Dorrell yeah I don’t think you know how to make food....
Nutella Gaming Looked like a smoothie bowl to me 🤷🏽♀️
It’s a smoothie bowl yeah
I can’t take it anymore, I’m using my dads credit card to buy this blender ✨
Haha, it's worth it! 😅
I got the blender!Ima make a smoothie bowllllll❤️❤️❤️
Wow just made this using frozen Banana and frozen Strawberries 🍓 😋
Amazing 💕
This looks delicious!
Side note:
I love Alexandra and her recepies. She really motivates me to eat vegan! This is not a comment on her, it's just a simple warning.
If you do not have an industrial blender, but just a cheap wallmart blender (like i did) USE A FOODPROCESSOR.
Because my blender caught fire while trying this. Not kidding guys. IT ACTUALLY CAUGHT FIRE!!
My blender was a 220-240V 430Watt.
I used bananas, strawberries, mango and blueberries.
Nevertheless, the nicecream tasted great and I will definately make it again once i've bought a food processor.
One question: the blender should be any kind of smoothie blender with 1200 WATS right?
Thanks for helping me, I made icecream for the very first time in my Vitamix
Thanks a lot!! I will make it tomorrow ❤️
Wohoo! 😍 Hope you got some tips for tomorrow 😁
That looks soooo amazing!!! One of those pink pataya is about 6 bucks here.
yeah ikr where i live its like 7 bucks for a dang pitaya... that's why i always just buy a frozen fruit mix with pitaya in it from costco... much cheaper and you get more fruit
I'm obsessed with thickness and creamy
This video is so good, thank you :)
Especially that blending view of inside the container, when the contents turn into inwards spiral pattern 😍
it's so pink and pretty
I wonder if I can still do this with a regular blender...
It never worked out for me just ended up like a milkshake
Yeah I did it before but I think it turned into a shake cause I added a lot of milk bit yunno the blender wasn't gonna blend and I used bananas and strawberries and tasted so bad
when I do it with my regular blender, I just cut up the bananas smaller & don't do as much at a time. It's a little thinner than hers looks but it's still thick & creamy!
I have a 1200watt blender that was only 65 euros and it worked for me using frozen mango papaya pineapple with a tiny bit of orange juice.
Nope... i know from experience lol
nothing beats a vitamix.
Got my Vitamix for $250 last November! Comes with recipe book, and a 20oz single serve set too. If you sign up for their emails you can know when they have a sale:)
Thank God for YT, vitamix and your ice-cream recipes
Now that's a frozen treat that'll warm anyone's heart! ...Oh wait, it's not frozen?
This is so helpful, thank you!
Does it become hard as ice when you put it in freezer? Or do you have to finish the whole thing everytime you make a batch?
Yes is does. Stir it every hour to prevent that.
Oh wow this is so helpful! :) frozen bananas are the secret!
Yep 👍🏼
Dragon fruit ❤
Just purchased my first vitamix. Definitely be trying this. Just wish you were android friendly.
Great vid keep it up loved it really helpful
Looks so good!
It was!
You are a master, what a vortex you created! Wow!
Wow vary nice ! :) btw Your skin looks so clear and nice !
OK I want this blender but maybe in the future
Fruit + fruit topped with fruit. Very balanced
Hanna Rodrigues who claimed that it’s a balanced meal exactly?
Thank you! Looks delicious. Wondering if there's a strong banana taste?
Jhezrel Valentine
Yes there is. I have experimented with many combinations of frozen bananas with other fruits:avocado, blueberries, strawberries, frozen pineapple, mangoes etc. ( and combinations of them)
They each give their own distinct flavors to the mix and help avoid the boredom that can result from eating just bananas no matter how much you like them.
There are tons of nondairy ice cream recipes on TH-cam. It’s fun trying them out.
There is a banana flavour but I personally think a fresh banana tastes more "banana" than what a frozen banana does. Try mix with it combined with raspberries! you can use also use full fat thick coconut cream with any frozen fruit but it will be more creamy consistency if you use fruit with less water content (like bananas) as papaya ang mango :)
@@AlexandraAndersson Thank you. I appreciate your detailed response!
I haven't made any yet so I can't attest to this, but another video said that the more you blend the banana, the more it oxidizes and the more it has a banana flavor, so try to blend it as little as possible, just enough to make sure it's all mixed in
@@ivegotcarrotsforlou great tip. Thx!
Sooo much help thank you
Hi~eeee!
Thank you for the recipe.
SOME BANANAS girl thats an understatement
I have bags of pre chopped bananas in my freezer as its easier. 400 g banana, 60g macadamia, 120 g soya milk and theres your vanilla. Add a vanilla pod for the real Macoy. 30g for chocolate and macha for your green tea.
that looks good!!
your nice cream always looks AMAZING
It's ice cream not nice cream. No such thing as that
Looks amazing! Did you freeze the banana with the peel on or off? And how many bananas did you use for one serving? ❤️❤️
Thank you! I always freeze them without the skin whole. When I'm making the nice cream I chop them up before blending. In this video I used tiny Bali bananas hehe but for regular sized medium bananas I would use 3 frozen bananas for one serving ❤️
I used to religiously peel the bananas beforehand and put them into the freezer in plastic baggies.
Then I got lazy and put them in plastic baggies WITH the skins on. I peeled them with a small paring knife. The skins peel off easily.
Now I am even lazier. I just toss ripe bananas into the freezer without baggies.
I have not experienced any difference in taste or quality of eating experience.
@@earthangel2522 Wonderful to know. I am cutting down on plastic everything, so I will probably try one in the freezer with the skin on just to get an idea how easy it is for me to peel before adopting the toss in the freezer approach. Thanks.
@4:00 Wow🥳
When she blended it it looked like she was blended Patrick’s head xD
Love it! I found you on IG!!! 💜💙💚💗
Yaaay!! Welcome yo my channel ❤️
Nice colour
Looks great 😍.
I will make it
Awesome! Thanks for sharing this!!
I'm happy you liked it! 🤗
I need that blender !!
Thanks!
Thank you 🥰
Can you freeze any left overs?
Yes you can freeze but it won't be as creamy! It will be a little bit more icy
This video is awesome! Although I do recommend lowering down the music... overall great video :)
In my county we say it dragon fruit
Nice Recipe I m ur New subscriber
Amazing !! Can you list recipe ingredients for me? Thanks! Love your videos!!💜😍
About 3 medium regular bananas, 1/4 fresh pink pity (pink dragon fruit) or use frozen pink dragon fruit but then add a splash of plant based milk :) Thank you so much! 💜
Yum! Looks amazing! 😋
Can I blend a big batch and keep it in the freezer? How long does it take out of the freezer to be soft enough to eat after?
Omg Thank you 😍
Your are welcome! ☺️
That many bananas!!!?!?! I understand the bulk is key. That’s the drawback of making these smoothie bowls. Have to make such a large quantity.
I used to do this back in the day and I tried at it the other day I don’t have a blender like you. I have a ninja blender and it has about six blades and I blended a few bananas and I added stuff and I really didn’t like it too much bananas. Is there anyway we can add like almond milk or regular milk to make it taste better?
So just frozen bananas and ripe mangoes?
Don’t u call these smoothie bowls
Yes she has a video on that
This can be an amazing cake icing too. 😁
Totally making it today.🙂
It may melt pretty fast though! Hope you like it ❤️
@@AlexandraAndersson I'll eat the cake before melting 😂 its like applying this cream right before serving the cake at room temperature 🙂
That's true! And what a good idea!@@Cyanide_Mallika
Chop ripe unfrozen bananas into smaller pieces and then freeze them overnight. Freeze any other small pieces of fruits that you like. Thaw them out for four or five minutes and then blend them quickly ... and quickly refreeze the results for awhile...your decision how long.
How long ahead do you need to remove from freezer to serve ?I have to make it the day before.
For those that i foundering, This icecream has 800calories in it
No, because it's mini bananas
Who cares about calories when all the ingredients are really healthy and nutritious? And overall, when it is tasty!
Can I make this with a hand blender?✨🙂
That’s not a pink papaya ... it’s a dragon fruit ;-)
Christina Augustine pitaya** even if she did say papaya, different countries call different fruits different things.
*pitaya
and they are the same thing
They call it that were she lives.
It's difficult to Count how many Frozen Bananas you used in your exact Recipe. One person used 6 but their Recipe had more Ingredients than yours. Would the Dragon Fruit or Pitaya Tropical powder work just as Well? How much Juice should we use so the Smoothie would still be Thick like yours. Thank you.
Can you use a nutri bullet do blend because that’s all I’ve got
Yes, you can. Just let the bananas thraw for like 5 minutes.
Can you use a regular blender to make this?
Yes if it's more than 900W :)
Okay thanks 😊
Am i the only one that got chills when she started cutting up frozen bananas or ??????????
Do you think the homgeek Blender Smoothie Maker, Personal Blender can make a smoothie bowl??
Can you add yogurt or how would it taste better?
