It's the same with food ("this tastes/looks/smells like this"), how clothing looks, how people play different games, etc etc, it's not some uncommon concept for someone to think some artist is like some other artist they've experienced before, because, duh, they've experienced that artist first. I personally call Ailee the Asian Beyonce, because she's just that great, and likewise with Taemin and Michael Jackson. It's not bad unless, again, it was deliberately made to be a negative remark, and that was not the case with this video.

you're right there is a storyline you didn't get. The MV isn't random at all it's actually all related to this korean kid song BASICALLY: The chorus is based on a children’s chant/song that goes “A monkey’s butt is red, red is apple, apple is delicious, delicious is banana, banana is long, long is train, train is fast, fast is airplane…” etc etc. So in the chorus, in translation she substituted her name from APPLE and says “A monkey’s butt is red, red is Hyuna, Hyuna is ahh,” ergo she means Hyuna is delicious. And the part where her expression is blank while everyone is having fun, the translated lyrics for that part is "Don’t leave me, I’m so lonely right now At least you won’t leave me, I’m the only one here I might change right now" They did sort of twist the kid song to something sexual but hey that's Hyuna hehehe Hope this helps!
