Loved this video! Can’t wait till the February drop! Thanks for the great content!
Great Rod, Reel, Line and tackle review. Thanks.
Goodluck this year JD!!! Was a pleasure to meet ya last years NW Sportshow in MN
Thanks dude! I’m sure I’ll see you around here soon once winter moves out! Stay warm!
Glad to see the DRT on the Deck!!! Best swimbait on the market!
It’s no doubt up there!
Huge fan of this series Josh. Surprised to hear a 853 for frogging? To me that would be light no ? Also like the hook recommendations as well
Sounds great! I’ll keep them coming. Open water froggin. In cover if use a 904 MBR G Loomis NRX
Florida boy here. You have a ton going right for you. I personally downsize my flipping weight to 3/4 because the mats aren’t there so much. They’ve sprayed by now and we’ve had some rains so the mats are flippable with a lighter weight.
The chatter/ swimbait has slowed down lots with all the pressure. More subtle trailers like a spunk Shad is tops. Sometimes shift to a swimming.
The black/ blue was good choice.
Speedworm in Junebug is good. Add red flake and it is great.
Swimbait needs to be with that gambler big easy you have. The Texas rig senko is fine. The weightless senko in that color is great but it needs to be a Yamamoto. It makes a difference. Final advice….try your beaver for flipping but if it’s not working, flip with that big black blue senko you have. Saw Bobby Lane win a tourney here a while back. He listed the baits he used but I was right there watching. It was 6” Bitters senko all day long. Most guys flipping here have shifted to the senko.
I just wanna know what you caught the 13lb 12oz on that’s in your handle! Tell me it’s a private lake and you’re going to let me down fish it! 😂😂 👊

First time seeing your videos. I like the hook explanation part, every " setup video" shows the baits, rod and reel but I always wonder what size hook people use when throwing mag worms and other stuff like that. Curious what pros do with all their old reels at the start of a new season, you just box them up or sell them somewhere? If you sell them online it would be cool to post the link, I am in the market for upgrading to Shimano Ks for this upcoming season but mentally can't pay full price for them since they were $125 on Black Friday haha
Thanks I definitely appreciate you checking it out! This is the first episode I added in the packages of hooks for just what you mentioned. My reels I generally use till they’re discontinue and then retire. Donate to kid fishing programs and of course barter with friends and family! Shimano don’t break so I just keep trying to break them!
Keep it coming! Why no Conquest rods ?
That’s an awesome series and I’ve added in conquests in the past.
Great content. By the way where can i get a shimano hoodie like that?
Shimano North America website
Ever used the Gloomis Conquests? I find myself picking up the conquest over the nrx and nrx+ rods I own especially when I am tying the FG knot the recoil guides keep stripping/tearing my FG knots overtime.
I haven’t had that problem but I do like the Conquest series too! Great collaboration between Shimano and G Loomis. Can I ask what line you’re using?

Where can you find DRT Klash 9 can’t find one anywhere
I see them pop up here on Instagram from time to time. Little more easy to find the past few months.
What length leader on the prop bait?
Just a few inches. Mainly to keep the braid out of the props and trebles.
