In this instalment from Bradford Through The Lens, we bring you a terrible tragedy of the Hamiltons in Wyke, Bradford.
A young girl by the name of 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻 went missing on 31st May 1981.

Anne Marie was my best friend. We used to play together. She used to come to my house at 4 Mary gardens. There was a car park at the rear of 4 Mary gardens where a trailer police incident room was set up. We lived here as the Shirley estate houses was getting renovated through Bradford council. I would like to thank the video owner for showing this. All these years I've been trying to find out what happened to her as back then I was only 4. Now I'm 47. My best friend passed away in 2022, i said to someone the other day that i hadn't had a good day as i suddenly became upset and tearful thinking of my best friend, this person replied that as it has been two years i should have got over it, i am sure you'll agree it can be two, or twenty two years, but you never stop thinking of, or loving your best friend, I am sorry some awful evil person robbed you of many more happy years together with your best friend, but if you are anything like me you never stop loving or thinking of her, i get 'visits' from my best friend, I've had photographs suddenly fall over, which happens if i've had a 'chat' to her, my best friend and i had a wonderful 37 years together and not one argument of fall out in all those years, before my friend passed, some weeks before she said " i am looking forward to moving onto another vibration", she wasn't ill or anything, her earthy body was just wearing out, to give you a rough idea of what my best friend was like, she never had ailments or suffered ailments that older people had, she was still dark haired, and word trendy clothes, worked part time till she was 93, and it was always like talking to someone my own age, she never grew old, and she was very wise, also a real non conformist! There was 40 plus years between us, but we got on like a barn on fire. One day you will see your friend again on the higher vibration and she will be so beautiful in colour because she passed so young.

I lived on the same street as Annmarie. She was such a beautiful caring little girl. I was only young myself at the time but can still remember the day she went missing. Was so heartbreaking then and still is now 😢😢

I remember this happening when I was small as I was the same age as Ann Marie and lived in the same area but couldn't remember the full details. Thank you for sharing and RIP Ann Marie

i had heard rumours about this story but no one was willing to open to me about this
its funny really. when we talk of the "good old days" 80's / 90's we often say it was safe. we often say we used to leave our doors unlocked. The truth is it was bad! We probably just didn't know due to there being no internet and no cctv. My guess is it was just as bad but there were A.) less people in total to comit crime and B.) no cctv to actually watch/see crime. Great video. than you.

I remember this when it happened as was a similar age and lived nearby.
It says he got life but we know in UK it doesn’t mean life. When did he get out?
That is a truly sad and horrifying story.I lived in Bradford at the time but I must say that I don’t remember this,maybe because of other murder hunts at the time.
I hope he suffered for the rest of his rotten life for what he did.Poor Ann Marie and her poor family,how hard that must have been for them to live with that.R.I.P.❤

seems this guy was a really bad pedo but he had a conscience. interesting how he can be so evil yet also feel such guilt. Many offenders would not break down like this. Would he have been caught if he had stayed silent? Or not attended the police search? Would this be another unsolved murder like your other video?

The number 14 bin belongs to St Marys Square which is the next house up... we double-checked this before filming!
Weird, I remember the murder on Carlisle Road but not the murder of a child a few days later. You would think it would be the other way round.
