Both of Skadi's modules (including the upcoming one) help her niche in different ways. Leaning into the Fast Redeploy thing is unironically a way that Skadi stands out, even though the first module gives her funny respawn abilities I know there are many units that do the single target role better. Hellagood's S2 was a clear alternative that made Skadi actually seem fragile by comparison sometimes. But this simp really appreciates that 'simple' and straightforward kit. There's a long list of enemies, even Tallulah, that Skadi can reliably wrestle 1v1 and do decently (maybe not solo the bosses, but certainly solo'ing even the Shielders during Maria Nearl event). The orca is not a bad investment, especially for someone lacking in options. Yes there's Surtr and countless melee units to choose from, but orca will get the job done more often than not. I agree! Fast redeploy skadi has it's own identity of sorts.
Also, I do like the fact that skadi's hp can reach astronomical levels.
