    Short story about spirits. Last year while my son was in ICU and on a ventilator he had a dream or vision whatever you want to call it. He was in the hospital bed outside the hospital. He asked the nurses why am I outside? They told him we bring some patients out for fresh air. Then suddenly still in the bed he is in front of Golden Gates so tall he could not see the top. On the other side of the gate me and my husband had our hands through the gate trying to reach him. Then suddenly he was back in ICU. He flatlined twice during that week in ICU. I believe God had his hand on him and there are Angels among us.

    Katie, if you want to learn to paint, watch Bob Ross video's. You can find lots of them online. If I can learn, believe me you can too! Using his techniques I have been able to paint some things that I can hardly believe I did. He makes it so very easy to paint some beautiful scenes that I am so proud of. Check him out sometime. I think you will like what you see.

    Love listening to you two and getting to know you better. You are so down to earth and wholesome. Your parents did a wonderful job raising you and it shows. I got my butt whipped a bunch of times as well and I deserved every one of them. I believe that the world would be a better place if the government didn't get involved in parenting, something they know nothing about. God put extra padding on our butts just for that purpose and those of us that were raised that way have more discipline and respect than those that weren't raised that way. Great job girls and God Bless you and your entire family as well.

    I love Q&A time and enjoy hearing you talk about your sweet. You two were raised like my husband and I raised our two boys. We gave them rules to follow but were not too strict. My husband always made clear to them that they were expected home before midnight unless there was something special. He told them that nothing good happened after midnight and they agreed. They were good young men then and still are today. You two are as well. ❣️❣️

    Back about 15 years ago I was having a rough time and just got in my car and drove. I went east as far as I could and ended up in a place called Cape Ann, Massachusetts. I stayed in a hotel where I could see the twin lighthouses of Thacher Island (pronounced Thacker). The landscape, the ocean, the huge sandstone boulders, the nice people, all really helped clear my head. I know you mentioned Maine, Corie, but if you ever do travel to that neck of the woods, I highly recommend. Nothing beats an Atlantic Ocean sunrise. I passed signs for The Norman Rockwell Museum but wasn't able to stop. I also passed signs for helicopter tours. I'd like to go back and do those two things someday. Great video, ladies! Hugs

    • @LadyValkyri
      @LadyValkyri ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JC-rl1vd When I was really sad, before I was mobile, I would go to a pet store and watch the birds. There was a small store which had a huge aviary in the basement, and one whole wall was birds, flying the whole length of the place behind mesh chicken wire. They had a small stone fountain that I sat on and just got lost in the sounds of the birds chirping. On my unexpected road trip I think I cried the first half of the way there, and was angry the second half. My husband at the time was very abusive. I wasn't sure what I would do when I got to the end, you know? Seeing the ocean, the sunrise, my whole outlook changed for the better. I was able to put things in perspective. Somewhere on that trip I found my worth, my value. It gave me something intangible to hang on to, when I really didn't have much else. I'll always love that place, till the end of my days. Hugs, friend.

    Hi! I rarely comment, but since Corey says she would like to go to Maine, I feel that I should let you know, I live in Maine. Yes, you should definitely come here. There is no other state like Maine. The state motto is, “Maine, the way life should be”. The rocky coast is beautiful! Everywhere you go here it’s a Kodak moment. And also, I must tell you, for several years we contemplated moving to Blairsville, Ga. Which is very near you. I love that entire area. I also love you two as well as your entire family and enjoy all your videos. You are a breath of fresh air. And one more thing, I have twins, boy and girl. I grew up with the beautiful Maryland beaches..long before over crowding. I have traveled this country extensively, and my personal opinion is that the beaches of Oregon are the most dramatic and breathtaking. The ocean off Cape Cod is very dramatic, and is different from the ocean off Florida. I can say the same about Oregon from the calmer beaches of southern California. No doubt the lay of the land on and off shore makes the difference. They are all beautiful in their own way.

    Grapefruit soap, or lemon and mint.

    Corey, regarding the soap - I like Dr. Squatch's Gold Moss and their Bay Rum natural soap. Can you (or do you) make similar soap scents? If so, I would definitely buy some bars. By the way - I love the nicknames Chitter, Chatter and Cheddar.

      I asked her last year to make some pine tar scented soap, but to no avail 🤷

      @@rowdybroomstick6394 maybe if there is enough demand she will consider it. I think the batches produce 35 bars. I want quite a few, but not 35 at a time. I do like the Pine Tar, but not my favorite.

    Love you girls! I also got my rear end whipped lots growing up, but like Katie said, I deserved every one of those whippings. Actually I probably deserved more than I got. Mamaw would tell me to go pick out a hickory switch, and always wanting to please Mamaw, I would pick out the longest, most straight, and strongest switch I could find - knowing all along that switch was going to used on my rear end!!! Good times!!! ha God Bless you all!

    • @SoldierPoet
      @SoldierPoet 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yep, same here with the switch! My mama did the same thing with making us pick out our own LOL. Discipline is so important with raising children and that is the main problem with society these days: a serious lack of discipline.

      @@SoldierPoet I totally agree and have figured out that parents can’t teach what they don’t know. I think a big problem is the lack of self discipline.

    Are you two identical or fraternal twins? I've wanted to ask since I've been following you. You look alike but seem to have such different personalities and interests. But you're both adorable. And I totally agree that you seem to have the greatest parents

    • @thepressleygirls
      @thepressleygirls  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      When we were born, they said we were fraternal, but then they changed their minds later on and said babies born after a certain time would have to get a DNA test to know. We were in that time period. They changed the criteria for what was considered identical. Thank you for watching!

    I worked for this architecture firm about 20 years ago and we were hired by a custom manufacture that used gold in it's products and they had big time security :) They had special air filtration for filtering out gold dust in the air. They had special matts you walked on that collected gold particles off of your shoes. They had scanners that scanned people when they came in and when they left. They had systems of tracking the incoming and outgoing gold and if there was any loss they would start making body searches :) They had an employee that started swallowing small pieces but they caught him :) Their building had no signage and we had to sign an NDA so we would not tell anyone about the location of the building or info about the project. So Katie, you better watch Corie if you start goldsmithing :)

    Enjoyed this Q & A session ladies. It’s easy to see that you both have good parents and were raised RIGHT!!!!
    Good answers on the ghost/spirits question, I feel the same way, the only ghost I believe in is THE HOLY GHOST!! And as far as the spirits I only believe there’s GOOD/RIGHTEOUS SPIRIT FROM GOD ALMIGHTY & The Evil/Dark/Corrupt Spirit from the devil! I agree with your dad, ain’t nobody gonna disrespect MAMA! 👍🏻😜🙏🏻😇❤️❤️ Thanks for sharing.
