I'm 23, I am not an enthusiast nor know much to none about motorcycles, mechanically speaking, but I bought mine 3 years ago and it's my first vehicle and it has been very satisfying to ride. I'm not much of a long-distance rider, I don't have the mindset to ride mindlessly to so way or even set up a plan to visit some place. I'll eventually learn to, bit as of now, I've put about 7000km out of the 55000km into it. It's a really good starter bike, wonderful.
Thanks for the upload. I have an S model and am really enjoying it. If it might suggest joining one of the online owners clubs - you will get a lot of help & experience there. For instance, I change the oil every 12 months (seems to be working out to about 7,000 miles) and use either 5/30 or 0/40 full synthetic - the really expensive stuff. Oil is still quite clean. Honda say check valve clearances at 12,000 miles but on the newer 750 they upped it to 24,000. So lots of us are following suit. I & many others also find Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres to be brilliant. Thanks again!
Still got mine, Leo Vince exhaust, Puig Pro sliders and Puig rear tire hugger, center stand, Sargent seat. It’s the most practical ride right now. My SUV gets like 17 to 22 mpg.
I share your love for this phenomenal bike ....gotta agree it's awesome I've done 6200km since new on my 2012... Not a single problem. I traded it last week for a new blue 2019 DCT......better in every way than an already great bike. Gotta love Honda....as reliable as the sunrise..
Did you notice that the center stand stopper may not engage, resulting in contact with the frame and lower suspension? It’s a moving part so will rub and wear against the stand. Stock exhaust has a welded on pad for the rubber stopper on the stand. You can put some rubber hose around the cross bar on the center stand to protect and damp it.
Found this for $3900----2013 Honda NC700X Garage kept, new tires, driving lights and grip heaters are isolated with a fuse block triggered off the ignition so no accidental dead battery. Crash bars, V Stream windshield, aftermarket exhaust, bark busters. Factory side panners, Honda upper trunk. ---Whaddya think?
I have a 2012 NC700X Honda for sale. Runs like new, recent service, new tires/chain/battery. Has a windscreen. 18,000 miles. 65-70mpg. Listed for $3500. Obo.
Great review, thanks. I've tried to learn as much as much as much as I can about the to 700X as it's uniqueness intrigues me. I love the tank trunk. No one has addressed highway speeds. I ride long distances and back and dirt roads, I'll never do off-road trails, etc. You mentioned pretty phenomenal mileage, what would you get at highways speeds of 75-80 mph? Will this bike hold 80 for extended periods (all day)? Thanks!
Hey, I just wanted to give you my experience - I have ridden this bike as my daily commutor up and down the NJ Turnpike almost daily for the last 2 years, and it definitely has no problem holding 80 mph. For me, it's comfy up to about 90 before it starts to bog down a bit. As for efficiency i haven't exactly calculated it, but I seem to be getting somewhere in the range of 60 mpg. LOVE the tank trunk! Become so spoiled with it!
I don't think highway speeds are any problem at all. I have to get off every couple of hours to exercise my stiff ass, the seat could be a little more comfortable. Otherwise everything is good.
how well does it pick up speed? I know the redline is low but does it get up quick enough? I don't really drive fast on my bike but Mr curious about the pickup
+Matthew Hoistion No not really, the bike has plenty of power the power delivery is so linear you really don't need to stay close to redline all the time
I have the s version since four and a half years and 72000 km. During that time I have hit the rev limiter maybe three times, one of which was on purpose to see what it actually feels like. The nice torque output of the motor never did let me miss higher revolutions. Had a Versys 650 and got rid of it again since I prefer the NC hands down 👍 Truely awesome bike 🏍❤ Safe rides
Not much wind protection with the stock shield. A little better than a naked bike. Expect a beating at 70 mph +. But I'm coming off a touring bike that had much better wind protection. The stock NC is more suited to short haul and commuting in my opinion. But with the right windscreen, it wouldn't be bad.
Aliana Abraham as long as you don’t go with a dual sport you should be ok. A cruiser would be the easiest to ride at that height or some kind of sport bike. If you have a dealer close to you go and sit on this one and see how you like it that’s the best way. This one is pretty low but I’m 6 foot
is this bike automatic? or manual? I'm thinking of getting this for my first "car" when I'm 16 because its cheap and good cargo space, so should I get this or a car?
You should get a car first. I know it seems like riding with someone else that you are learning how to handle a vehicle in traffic and get around legally, and you are, but it's quite different when you're actually behind the wheel. Learn these things in a car so you can devote all your attention to learning to be a good driver, which is not about how well you handle the car but rather your observations and decisions, THEN once you have some time doing that, think about a motorcycle. It is not at all cheap, the insurance alone will be quite a bit, the total higher than a car would cost and you should get durable riding gear. The only thing you'd save on is gas and that savings will be swamped by the thousands of costs you don't realize until you're paying for them. When you get older and establish a good driving record it gets cheaper for insurance.
I have nc750x for over 2 years now, done over 25k miles and really it's no purpose to do oil change more frequently then 8k miles. Waste of time and money.
I was thinking the same thing. My 2013 suzuki Vstrom has a 5.2 gal tank. I have well over 200 miles of range. Usually 48mpg at 70+mph. I've read that these easily get around 60mpg so I don't think a small tank is something to worry too much about

I haven't watched too many vehicle reviews but this one was amazing! Not choppy, clean, familiar, and thorough. Thanks for this!
+Ardin Catish glad you liked it!
I got a 2015 NC700x and I have put over 2600 miles and I love it.
Yea they are fun for sure

be careful i locked my keys in the trunk. hahaha.
✨👌
Have you managed to get them out by now?

That mass of keys is giving me nightmares.
turbo311 lol
Those will cause him problems most likely.... ask how I know!
David Falgout it was 4 keys and it actually never has given me a single issue.
I rode this bike. My favorite feature was the forward trunk. It seemed pretty slow with mediocre brakes.
Frunk

That sounds like a great deal
@@hanksgarage_ I think I'm still gonna prefer my '09 Versys. IDK if the NC has enough "power."
I like the versys better to be honest
Great review. I've been looking at these for a commuter bike and found your video quite helpful.

Great look at this bike. To me it looks like a very stylish sport tourer/ adventure bike. I appreciate all the real world details, thanks.
Thanks for this review! I learned a lot and feel like this is what I'm going to get. So many great features!!
+Mel Dormoy they are for sure worth it. Not much else comes close. These bikes are loaded with features most other bikes don't have!
Pure beauty... Did you notice any difference in power after installing the exhaust?
+MaxTryk slightly big thing I wanted was more noise but it seemed like it made a small difference
That exhaust sounds glorious! Good choice!

You ever get that 675? I had one and traded it in for the nc700x. Better all around bike for me.
Nah not yet been really trying to resist the urge between one of those or the kawi 636 lol.
how well does it pick up speed? I know the redline is low but does it get up quick enough? I don't really drive fast on my bike but Mr curious about the pickup
you answered my question in the video :) good review thank you
Right on man
I'm planning on getting the 750x dct next year
hey that dan moto exhaust sounds not bad.
This is a small size adventure bike. This bike can go on various terrains and very good for cross country
brilliant review, thanks.
Does the low red-line seem to be a problem or hinder the fun factor?
+Matthew Hoistion No not really, the bike has plenty of power the power delivery is so linear you really don't need to stay close to redline all the time
great review, any chance you know who make that luggage rack? or any markings?
Its stock to Honda. They make it came with the bike
is the low redline a big hindrance?
jarno meekes it never was for me
thx!

Thanks boss! Stay classy and ride safe! 🚀
Hi, is there a baffle in the DanMoto pipe? Thanks
no you have to buy it separate from their site
Isn't it DCT ?
Either dct or manual trans option
What is that exhaust called
Danmoto is the brand can't remember the model number off hand
Hi, does it have cat/muffler or no ?
Yes this one did
How was vibration compared to the ninja?
Less. More refined too
Cool. You still have it?
Nah I don’t ride anymore. Got in a bad accident and fucked up my back pretty good
@@hanksgarage_ dang. Sorry to hear that.
Go to the dealer get your throttle position sensor adjusted. 70+ for myself and two others.
Uncalled for, depends on the terrain and riding style, and regular vs E10 gas.
My grom goes 70+ so that's really disappointing
How fast would you be comfortable on a freeway for hours at a time? I'm planning a ride across North Dakota and Montana in July. Traffic runs 85+.

I would def put a bigger windshield on it, and hand guards as well. Thanks!
120
Great video. Love my NC.
I get 38mpg on my MX5 and more than 10% of my wage goes on fuel just for commuting. Fuck that I'm getting one of these bad boys
Nice,can't wait to test one
I’m 5’0-5’1 .. would this be a good bike or if not , do you have any other suggestions on what bike would be good for my height. Thank you.
Hank's Small Engine Repair thank you so much!
You can always get a lowering kit for it ( dog bones ), mine was lowered 40mm, a very light bike.
Aliana Abraham I'm 5'8 and I have to tip toe it to reach the ground.
Does it have ABS breaks?
it comes standard on the auto transmission one, I think its just an option with the manual, mine did not have it
how much did you pay for it? today i went to my local dealer and they showed me 2014 brand new for 5499
Out the door I got it for that price
shahzad muhammad
not bad...just picked up a brand new 2014 for $3999...im thrilled with the bike and the price.
is this bike automatic? or manual? I'm thinking of getting this for my first "car" when I'm 16 because its cheap and good cargo space, so should I get this or a car?

great review, how tall are you, does it feel small
chauncee12 6 foot and not at all
I have nc750x for over 2 years now, done over 25k miles and really it's no purpose to do oil change more frequently then 8k miles. Waste of time and money.
Does it have go gas mileage
Yes 65mpg
Versys outhandles the Vstrom in the twisties.
Very nice
Nice review. Thanks.
good review , Thanks
How many times did you need hazard lights that it's such a "nice feature" lol
Harvey Mushman lol about as many times as I need cruise control on a bike to be honest so none
I my bike had them I would use them while filtering, so every day!
Very nice feature to have if you pull over to the side of the road. Gets you seen by more cagers
The seat is good for 30 to 40 minutes. Then it's a butt buster
MrJdiffend i got a shad seat for 450 euros and i can sit for hours now.
I like mine quiet.
Too bad it has that small gas tank. V1 Versys had a 5 gal tank, and the modern Versys have a 5.5 gal tank. 3.7 is ridiculous for a commuter.
I was thinking the same thing. My 2013 suzuki Vstrom has a 5.2 gal tank. I have well over 200 miles of range. Usually 48mpg at 70+mph. I've read that these easily get around 60mpg so I don't think a small tank is something to worry too much about
It's a great bike!!
I like it
