I though Atsui（熱い） means hot as in high temperature or to describe one's attitude/character. Maybe i am wrong and the word Atsui means other thing, i mean, Japanese do have some words that sounded the same.
Tsuyu is my favorite character, the episode where she gave her heart breaking explanation to how she felt after they went after bakugo was so real and genuine. I hope she does get more screen time cause she deserves it.

Tsuyu is so popular because she is simply a perfect character design. I mean, without exaggeration. Seeing her image on social media was one of my main motivators to check out the anime, and -- this is the important part -- before I even saw her say a single word, I already had a clear idea of what she's like. She just immediately struck me as someone who's straight-forward and chill, someone who's no bullshit and you can just talk about whatever with. That also happens to be a kind of person I, and a lot of people, are very fond of; characters in-universe might think her face makes her hard to read, but the fact that she always so clearly and directly says what she thinks makes her infinitely easy to talk to and hang out with because it reduces the complexity of interpersonal communication that a lot of people struggle with.

What you want is for Horokoshi to give screen time to characters were meant to be meh. like Sugar Man and the animal guy. I love Tsuyu but I think it's safe to admit that between her mascot design being cute and her being super curvy in a tight body suit gave her the edge.
I love Froppy because of several reasons. 1. Her design is adorable, and it instantly makes you empathize with her. 2. She isn't competitive to the point of harming her allies, like some of the others are, etc. 6. She's incredibly quick-witted in dangerous situations, as evidenced time and time again during the series, when she is able to save the day by doing the right thing, at the right time, in the right way. 7. She's Froppy! She's just made of awesome!
My brother showed me and my siblings the first 4 eps of bnha in 2017, and when i saw tsu in the opening i asked if we could watch more because she was so cool, but he said no becaise it was getting late (it was midnight). So, may of this year i binged season 1,2 and 3 and tsu is my favorite character along with jirou. Edit: just remembered, aizawa is also [insert F-word here] awesome

He had a lot of traits/ abilities like spider man except spider sense and had to make his own webbings but had a significant flaw where the tensile strength and stickiness were inversely proportional. I had an idea that he always wore gloves because he was self conscious of the fact his fingers were practically tarantula legs. He had some other things like retractable fangs and a super move where he puts his tongue between his fangs and let out a high pitched whistle that stung the eardrums called: spider scream. The name I gave him was Kumokan Chusei aka Kumo-spider Kan-intuition/6th sense Chusei-loyalty, alligence, or sincerity (Loyalty of the all-knowing spider)
You have a very good imagination to create a character like this. There could be a way to show this to Horikoshi seeing how Bubble Girl in the manga was a fan made character Horikoshi picked from a contest
Brandon P General course student named Sigmund Pense. His quirk is a combination of telepathy and slight fuckery with the nervous system. The way he mucks with the nervous system is with direct eye contact and how long it’s held because when focusing, his eyes sorta bleed black/purple when unleashing his psychic waves. With brief eye contact he can give someone a mild seizure (disorientation, loss of coordination, etc) which would often lead to a straight kick to their opponents chin. Prolonged eye contact is where the real pain is.... imagine feeling like your body is on fire, but you aren’t. Your body reacts like it is and that’d cause some serious nerve damage. I call this quirk: Psyzure He has a few notable flaws like only being able co communicate up to say 5 comfortably at a time otherwise he overloads his head with info. BTW the reason that whole eye contact thing is so dangerous is because originally, he assumed his quirk was telepathy and people always assumed he was a nosy individual who would listen in someone’s head. That animosity grew to slight bitterness and his quirk is more defined as psychic abilities. I got the name from Sigmund Freud- father of psychoanalysis Pense- thoughs or” I thought” in Spanish

I've been studying Large cast character dynamics for my writing, & Tsuyu is mostly what writers call the Heart of the group, allowing the writer to direct the emotional aspect of the story.
One of the things I like about this series is the thought that goes into each character’s etymology. Horikoshi put a lot of thought in these characters
Not gonna lie, when first saw and heard about her I immediately loved her (both as in crushing on her and also just over all liking her). It’s so nice to get a female character that isn’t all “tits, ass, and cutesy personality,” she has character and an actual personality that’s likable.
She should be able to camouflage completely and have poisonous skin. She's probably missing a few other interesting frog characteristics. Either way I just love her to pieces.
She's literally the reason I watched 2½ season of this show. I felt like the show was really boring as I didn't care about anyone other than my beloved Tsu. The moment I saw her cry broke my heart. And seeing her cry in this video broke my heart again. Got tears in my eyes just from seeing her being sad. Literally. Also, not saying BNMHA is bad, just not my thing. I call this quirk: Psyzure
He has a few notable flaws like only being able co communicate up to say 5 comfortably at a time otherwise he overloads his head with info. BTW the reason that whole eye contact thing is so dangerous is because originally, he assumed his quirk was telepathy and people always assumed he was a nosy individual who would listen in someone’s head. That animosity grew to slight bitterness and his quirk is more defined as psychic abilities.

Froppy has been a favorite of mine since the episode of the anime where the villains first invaded the school grounds aired. I'm glad to see she has gotten so much love.
Great once again. Asui frankly reminds me of my cousin I hang out with, whenever we get the chance. And just like her, I've never seen a single person that hated her.

I've been studying Large cast character dynamics for my writing, & Tsuyu is mostly what writers call the Heart of the group, allowing the writer to direct the emotional aspect of the story.
One of the things I like about this series is the thought that goes into each character’s etymology. Horikoshi put a lot of thought in these characters

Not gonna lie, when first saw and heard about her I immediately loved her (both as in crushing on her and also just over all liking her). It’s so nice to get a female character that isn’t all “tits, ass, and cutesy personality,” she has character and an actual personality that’s likable.
She should be able to camouflage completely and have poisonous skin. She's probably missing a few other interesting frog characteristics. Either way I just love her to pieces.
She's literally the reason I watched 2½ season of this show. I felt like the show was really boring as I didn't care about anyone other than my beloved Tsu. The moment I saw her cry broke my heart. And seeing her cry in this video broke my heart again.
Got tears in my eyes just from seeing her being sad. Literally.
Also, not saying BNMHA is bad, just not my thing. It's not like I don't like all the other characters. I do like them, I just don't care about them.

Every time I see a picture of Froppy, my fight or flight response is briefly triggered while my mind works out whether it's Tsuyu or Momo. Not the MHA Momo, the other one.

I have not even watched the show or read the manga yet she is my favorite character too XD I just saw a picture and fell in love. Funny you compared her to Spider-Man for a short bit. I was at a convention as Spider-Man and saw a cosplayer of Tsuyu and we toke a picture. I said - Hey my favorite hero. And she said - Hey my favorite hero. Haha, great times!
Tsu was one of the main reasons I even watched the show in the first place... Frogs are one of my favourite animals, so naturally I was intrigued by her and then decided to watch the show and I now love everything about it XD
