    thanks to this new model , the red button to eject the two pipes has definitely disappeared. It s a good news because this button was very hard to press after several uses and broke frequently. Eheim 350 exp is definitely in my opinion an excellent filter.

    As mentioned earlier in the comment section the order of sponges and media is not optimal. In addition I would like add that it seems like you are missing the rubber seals between the baskets. This can cause so called bypass.

    • @Roland-qx1zo
      @Roland-qx1zo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! What is the optimal way to order the sponges and media for this filter? I've just bought this filter.

    • @sigbjrnkongsli883
      @sigbjrnkongsli883 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Roland-qx1zo I use EHEIM mech in the bottom of the bucket, below the first basket. This is a mechanical filtration. In the first basket I use coarse, medium and fine sponges in that order from the bottom of the basket. In the last basket I use only bio media. I prefer seachem matrix. Remember that the water goes down to the bottom and the filtration starts on its way up.

    • @Roland-qx1zo
      @Roland-qx1zo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sigbjrnkongsli883 That makes perfect sense. I still wonder why Eheim puts their fine pad last. Mechanical filtration should go first. Thank you.

    I got this filter next to my bed, if you add twice as much wool than you need it will be almost silent at the cost of some flow ( my guess is it goes down to 500l/h). Now put it in a cabinet that's sound proof and it will actually be silent!

    I prefer the 350 expierience which is 50 euro's more expensive but making the water more clear and usefull when going up to 180l to 350l. You can also utulise the power of the water stream and the capaticity of water filtering.

    • @AquaNoxLTD
      @AquaNoxLTD 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pax2021 yeh of course the larger models are better there more powerful and hold more media but sometimes the bigger models can be too big on a smaller sizes tank that's why u get different sizes the 350 may be more powerful but it's 3times more expensive to run then a 250 and it only moves 150lph more by the time it pumps it up into the tank so personally I prefer to have a decent sized canister that don't use a ton of electric then a smaller one as super cheap to run like a 250 yes it costs more to use two on a tank but you get slot of benefits like tons of room for biomedia n between the two 8_12times tank turn over iv a 125ltr tank with an eheim pro4+250 I get 600lph from that then iv got an eheim experence250 I get 525 lph with at the pro 4 uses 12watts the experience 250 uses 8 that's a total of 1125littres per hour with only using 20watts an hour so very high turn over very cheap to run and high bio media load and very clear water it also gives me time to mess about with two canisters for versitllity yeh am a bit of a tech nerd but ats how I like it

    Could you reccomend me something for 60x30x35 (63L) aquarium with a betta, some galaxy rasboras and shrimps? I'm thinking about Eheim Experience 150 or something from Classic line... But I don't know what to buy.

    • @tropicalfishhub
      @tropicalfishhub  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your betta and galaxy rasboras may not appreciate flow from the canister filter, you could get a hang-on back filter or a sponge filter. I guess your tank is lightly stocked and bioload is limited, so there is no need for an external filter.

    Hello , thank you for your review, excellent and the most straight forward, self explanatory review in TH-cam. My questions is my tank is 60x40x40cm, 96liters, so I am literally in between Eheim Experience 150 or 250 ? I may be upgrading my tank in future so 250 could be more plausible option but main concern is the flow. What do you recommend ?

    • @tropicalfishhub
      @tropicalfishhub  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you:) It depends on how heavy your tank is stocked, but in any case 250 should be the best option. I had 250 on an averagely stocked 100L tank and it was perfect fit.

    Why do u put fine floss pad at top it traps all the dirt below it in ur bio media clogging up the pores making the media not effective best to put fine pad on top of gotten basket after course n fine not only that but that blue course eheim pad u have under floss pad did you not notice how clean it was it's far to course it's not even collecting any dirt it's more like a prefilter pad to trap very large things like plant leaves personally the best way to set this filter up is full the void at gotten with eheim mech rings this traps the big dirt then in the gotten tray have course medium n fine or two medium and fine then the bio media on top tray so it's in the clean part of the filter you can even go a step more and buy an eheim pre filter to add to the intake this is basically the same filter as the eheim professional the very first pro model the 250 is a good model as it's very cheap to run the 350 is larger but uses 3 times more electric to run must be due to larger amount of water n larger flow ect iv never had one of these but I own a pro4+250 and an eheim classic 350 and iv had 2 classic 250s iv had 8 canisters over 8years and I can honestly say they all been good apart from a JBL but the eheim are by far the best filters iv used I'd love to get an oase biomaster but as nice as they are I don't think there worth there price tag yes they got a great pull out prefilter and you get ones with build in heaters but the heaters are cheap n not a good idea in a canister as u won't know if they fail and as nice as the prefilter is to clean it's not hard to clean a normal canister they don't need cleaned for 2/6month and it don't take long I don't get why people dread cleaning out a canister it don't take long personally I like cleaning my filters it gives me time to be hands on with it instead of never seeing the thing

    hey dude, the order how your filtration media is stacked is not well optimised, check this th-cam.com/video/--UjTVCASwM/w-d-xo.html or pondguru's th-cam.com/video/szrUlHTW5Zo/w-d-xo.html , i.e. , put rings on empty space at bottom, then foam mechanical filtration from coarse to fine floss, then biomedia and very last polishing floss, cheers
