    It was 1974 and I was 14. My brother and me and some friends were in the game shed out back, playing plng pong. Mandy came on the radio for the first time. We stopped playing and just listened. It was epic. It was so good we didn't want it to end!

    It was a magical time to be alive in the 70s..I was only 10 years old when Mandy hit the airwaves in 1974 on AM radio..It was played all the time and was such a huge hit from a very talented singer..I miss those carefree days and the wonderful times spent growing up with family and friends in a more simpler life..Thanks for sharing..🎶🎵🎸😁👍

      I agree. Hearing this reminds me of 8th grade. There were two girls that I remember in particular that were stuck on Barry Manilow and this song. 1974 was such a long time ago now, but I remember....so much has happened to all of us since then, and listening to some of these songs is somewhat bittersweet. One of the girls/ ladies has since passed away.

    Everyone needs Barry Manilow in their lives. May I request the studio version of Could It Be Magic?

    If the heart had a voice and was singing for a lost love this would be it.♥

    I have been watching a lot of reaction videos to Barry Manilow, in particular Mandy. I have seen others also say they don't know what is going on inside them, and that the song is speaking to them. So interesting. And, Barry ALWAYS says that's all he wants to be remembered for. To make people 'feel' something.

    It's a beautiful song about his"dog". That shows his talent for storytelling...

    • @austinseven4720
      @austinseven4720 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not quite. Barry didn't write this one. It was written by Scott English and another guy (whose name currently escapes me), originally titled 'Brandy.'
      The dog thing is believed to be a myth. Though if it is true, it wouldn't be Barry Manilow's dog.

    The buildup and ending crescendo are very similar to Harry Nillson's "Without You" from a year before.

    Wonderful reaction to a great oldie, Loveth. If you like this song by Barry Manilow, and the way that this kind of music works, listen to his song, "I Write the Songs." Can't wait for your next reaction! 😊💜

    Lower your volume and up the video. No balance. And put something into the wall to fill your room, it’s too empty…
