I'm all about heavy fighters; the Scorpius is the quintessential glass cannon. If you want survivability alongside weapon diversity, the Warden is still the meta for heavy fighters. You cannot swap out the missile rails on either the Scorpius or the F8C. The Scorpius loses armaments when a wing gets blown off and you absolutely need a gunner to take advantage of the quad turret. I tried to go up against a 1 v 4 in my Scorpius and went splat halfway through the engagement. In my Warden, she was f'd up pretty bad but was still flying with all 4 opponents in smoking heaps on the surface of Aberdeen. When you absolutely positively need to kill the target(s) and return to base, the Warden is unrivaled. Think, the Fairchild A-10 Lightning and that is the Aegis Warden. The ability to swap out the missile rails to a caca-ton of S2 or S3's, quad S2 laser repeaters on her nose, with the icing on the cake, a S5 ADB5 rotary canon under her nose... perfection.
@@Bronwyn031 Are you talking about PvP or PvE? The Scorpius should be far better atm at PvP. Thing is, it’s all situational. But the interceptor tuning should give you a big advantage, especially if you play to that strength. The Vanguards have a big advantage in PvE, which is S2 QT drive and an interior with beds imho. On the flipside it is a rather large target and if you lose a nacelle, you are going nowhere. Another issue is the lack of high projectile speed nose guns. But it sure is a mean machine. Not so sleek as the Scorp or Lightning, but a beautiful beast in its own right. As always, fly what you like and have fun with. And everything depends on what CIG has ‘tuned’. Cheers o7

Last time I tried this ship was during 3.20 I think, and it was very fragile, I don't know if they changed anything about it but it is one of those unique ships you can't help but like. Definitely one of the coolest looking ships out there
I really hope they introduce a medium fighter from RSI that follows some of the same design aspects. I had a scorpius and melted it for my F8 just because I want my solo ship. I’m still conflicted tho about which one I like more but honestly if the scorpius was single seater without the feeling of giving up so much I’d definitely still have it. Beautiful ship and I miss it.
We got someone to loan this ship to us in game to try out. Its a blast with 2 people and I am considering getting it with the current CCU that is out there for it.
Scorp is my most flown ship in the game, and easily my favorite fighter. If i was only allowed 1 ship pledge, this would be it, even if my C1 (soon to possibly be CCU'd to a Zeus CL) is technically a more useful ship overall, and my Polaris is a much more valuable ship. 10/10
it would be pretty nice if we can get a smaller single seater light/medium ship with this design language. I would not even care if it's not meta, I just want it to exist so we can see more of this X-wing design
I have one... still trying to find the best way to refit (the best for me)... currently I removed the gimbles to place S4 cannons on the wings... I'll try today with different cannons S4... and maybe repeaters and see what works best for me... But I would like to have the option to also fire with the remote turrets as most of the time I play solo
When including the raising hangar platform, please do what CIG did not and quieten the noise a little. Or a lot. And I too hope the Aurora's will get swing wings too in the future.
Hey could you do a video on the best single seater fighter than can take on most bounties and another suggestion could you make component upgrade suggestions. One list if you are on a budget and another where price is not a concern. That would be appreciated very much.
Scorpius has a remote turret. You just insert a blade chip into the internal computer and it locks forward facing and fires. It is sleeper strong. It generates 8k power to supply 8 hard points compared to the f8c having 5k power to 8 hard points.
The Antares doesn't have a co-pilot turret. Instead, they get a missle operator mode and the quantium dampener and EMP. It's more of a bounty hunter or pirate ship but doesn't have space for cargo or pods. So more of a support ship to a larger operation. So different roles firepower vs utility type thing. Just keep in mind you need a co-pilot to use those features.
As it should be. It’s an interceptor tuned heavy fighter. The only one we have. If it would be more maneuverable it would be unstoppable, which isn’t what we (should) want. Besides, to make up for the lack of maneuverability (it is actually quite okay for a heavy fighter) it has a 4x S3 turret, which is deadly if manned. Currently the other heavy fighters (the F8C, Vanguards, Hurricane and Ares) are outclassed by the Scorpius. The speed advantage means you can dictate the fight and get out of dodge when needed. For PvP the Scorpius is the only viable Heavy… currently… CIG will do its thing again and before we know it, the Herald is the new meta, lol. Cheers o7
YOU can onboard one by one only on this ship ... ( not like in the trailer ) ... he look again something will never happen in the army or combat ship.... for me he said all about the DEV focus.

One of my favourite combat ships. Wish the turret would slave to the pirate, though. Would make this thing invincible.

It’s quite good, even solo for PvE. I’m really contemplating melting my F8C for it when IAE comes in November. It’s just more fun to fly.

i find the ship to big for a fighter. I mean it's the half of a Zeus if the wings are in and if the wings are out 1/3 of a Zeus.

Its maneuverability is honestly pretty terrible compared to similar ships though. Its fast as hell but not very maneuverable at all.
