I am so sorry this happened to you. I am scheduled for one next week and I don't want it done. I rather opt to have the CT angiogram. I dont want invasive unless absolutely necessary
PLEASE tell me… are there other options for fentanyl and versed? I had a cath in 2016 and those 2 meds did NOT work on me. I understand they want to keep me somewhat awake, but in the twilight zone. They kept giving me more meds, but I was still completely lucid and aware of the pain. It looks like I will need another cath, because I failed a stress test today. They gave me the max dose of dobutamine, but my heart rate wouldn’t go to target. The target was 148. I couldn’t get it over 140. I don’t want to do another cath because it was SO FLIPPING PAINFUL. They tried in my wrist first, but the camera didn’t go too far. I was screaming for help. So they went thought my upper thigh, and that was excruciating, too. Finally the pain went away when they got the camera all the way to my heart. I DO NOT want to go through that ever again. It was terrifying. 😭😖
