He came up to me and my friends and asked if someone wanted to buy his second row seat for 5 bucks, cause he was there just to see them. I instantly jumped on that deal and got to see Metallica up close and loud ass hell...I'll never forget that show!

One of my favorite bands, saw them with Guns N Roses. I love you two, I wish my mom 74yrs old appreciated rock music. I have a siezure disorder & listening to the radio the other day she said no wonder you have siezures, listening to that stuff. Lol 🤣

This tour was the first time I got to see Metallica. I was 24 and already a huge fan of theirs but hadn’t gotten the chance to see them yet. This was the first tour they did where they were the headlining act. And they did not disappoint. I remember the opening band was booed off the stage and Metallica ended up starting their set early and ended up playing for around 2 and a half hours. It was awesome. I saw them in Ft. Wayne

I was a teenager when this album came out. I wasn't into metal music *at all.* But I kept hearing about this underground band named Metallica. I started hanging with a friend who would always play MoP in the car. I made up my mind I was going to give it a honest chance. At first I didn't get it. Didn't get it. Just sounded like a bunch of noise. Suddenly, quick as a snap, Imaybe my third or fourth time listening to it, I suddenly "got it." And I realized this band had more tools, than 95% of the mainstream artists out there. And I knew (if they didn't break first) they were going to change what "mainstream" meant. So, while many felt betrayed when Metallica went mainstream, I felt vindicated. That was my "told ya" moment to the world.😜 (And it also showed me that justice does occassionally happen. That the deserving do sometimes get the recognition they deserve.)
Never stop rockin'! Please, show a little more love for the ladies that are injecting new life into our beloved Rock music! The Warning, Plush, LoveBites, among several others have given me hope for the future! Thank you 2RG, from a 60 year old bassist and fellow Rocker, for life!
We’ve done 2 out of 3 of the bands you mentioned but Plush is something new to us and we love it when you guys suggest someone new to us. The Warning & Love Bites are both phenomenal bands and I’m sure we’ll be doing more of them too. My all time favorite bassists is Tom Araya of Slayer. Who’s yours? So, I just watched the best all-time cover of Queen's We Will Rock You by Udo Dirkschneider, if you don't know Udo you don't know metal. He was the vocalist of the iconic German power metal band Accept, he now looks like the little old man in Up but he can still rock like it's the 1980s.
We’re very familiar with Udo. Accept was a great band when he was with them & they still are with a different front man in our opinions. Thanks for your suggestions though & for the info on the cover. If you can cover Queen….. you’ve got to be something. Keep on rocking babies. 🙏🏻🖤🎶🤘🏻
@@nanaking9560 Right after I listened to the Queen cover I remembered something a little bit obscure in metal history, a 45 single by NWOBHM group Raven and Udo, they did a cover of Steppenwolf's Born To Be Wild which wasn't on any of either band's albums, a rare find, and there are multiple uploads of it on YT. My dad took me to see Raven in the summer of 1983, he was a big fan of NWOBHM, Metallica was the opening band. It was 2 weeks after the famous Cliff Burton Anesthesia bass solo in Chicago, he did it in Portland too and I saw it live.
Until recently I'd always thought Accept were a glam metal band. No idea why I had the impression, but for whatever reason I did. Just a few weeks ago however they turned up at random on youtube while I had music going in the background. I checked out who it was because the vocalist sounded like Bobby "Blitz" Elsseworth from Overkill, who have been a long time favorite band of mine. I was pretty surprised to be honest as I'd always considered Ellseworth to have a pretty unique vocal style. Accept themselves sound pretty decent. I didnt check out much of their stuff, just a few tracks, but while I prefer something a little heavier/thrashier, I liked what I heard enough to put them on my "want to check out properly" list.
This song was an Anthem for me in my angstful youth but it was beautiful n perfect expression of that time in my life! I still remember all the lyrics in that album! 2 Rockin Grannies are Amazing🎸🎶🎬

Man are they something else. In 89 we were bringing up our first born, a little girl, ( who also loves Metallica. :) ). I've really missed you. I've being here fretting over the sudden vanishing of you guys. As you know, our minds lie to us, getting us to fear the worst. "Are they I'll? Is Jeff OK?. But all thanks to to God. You're well, and prospering. Were we there? At this show? Looking back, I didn't like Metallica at the time, so I wouldn't have been there on the night. But with my current mind set, I sure wish I was. And at least one Metallica show a year since. Well, them and about a hundred other top acts as well. (Oh if money grew on trees, I could see them all....lol) I'm so over joyed to see you again. Welcome back to my screen. ( Face to face would be better. I was wondering if you two would react to a Korean girl group? You would have to have subtitles on, as the do use some English (and some cover songs are fully English) but it's mostly sung in Korean. If you want, I could start you off with one of their more metal songs. The group is called Dreamcatcher, and the song is "Endless Night". It's off one of their Japanese albums, so it's in a mix of Japanese, Korean, and English. But if you think it's too much, I could start you off with a slightly softer song. "Deja Vu"

I've really missed you. I've being here fretting over the sudden vanishing of you guys. As you know, our minds lie to us, getting us to fear the worst. "Are they I'll? Is Jeff OK?. But all thanks to to God. You're well, and prospering. Were we there? At this show? Looking back, I didn't like Metallica at the time, so I wouldn't have been there on the night. But with my current mind set, I sure wish I was. And at least one Metallica show a year since. Well, them and about a hundred other top acts as well. (Oh if money grew on trees, I could see them all....lol)

I was wondering if you two would react to a Korean girl group? You would have to have subtitles on, as the do use some English (and some cover songs are fully English) but it's mostly sung in Korean. If you want, I could start you off with one of their more metal songs. The group is called Dreamcatcher, and the song is "Endless Night". It's off one of their Japanese albums, so it's in a mix of Japanese, Korean, and English. But if you think it's too much, I could start you off with a slightly softer song. "Deja Vu"
