Me too. I felt something wrong with the way everyone hated her. I was sure there was so much more to why she was acting that way. And now I understand and like her even more.
it was always clear she had her very own struggles rue and jules were my faves since 2019 when it first came out i also never got the hate cause it was always clear they were both very complex and messed up characters

Jules is one of the best representations of a trans character i've seen. She's not a saint, and not a caricature either. Just a complex and intresting character who feels very real.
This edit especially with rue in two different leaving scenes was flawless. 🤯

I only just now realized why Jules is not wearing make up in the "New York" scene and I remember wondering why watching the episode , but I think it's related to the all stopping the hormones and the performative femininity thing. In the New York scene we see her in this new version of herself. she is also not wearing any at the therapist session but I just figured she was not in the mood or something but it's more thought out than that. I'm excited to see how this is going to unfold in the next season !

Yes, at first I thought she wasn’t wearing make up at the therapist office to show her being more vulnerable. She always showed herself as a certain way and then when finally talking about her problems she showed us someone different from the one she presents.
And remember her outfits, makeup, and hair color represent how she’s feeling Sam Levinson or someone said that like for example at the beginning Jules was wearing bright colors and had bright pink hair and bright makeup and at the end of the show she was wearing red makeup with black hair and dark outfits to represent her feelings
Another thing is you may be wondering why they didn’t just show the original scenes with Jules and rue or other scenes because you notice her hair was basically fully blonde but now it’s brown at the top and blonde at the bottom I think they did that to show how dark Jules perspective actually was verses what we saw

I am really really impressed by Hunter's acting, especially on the special episode. The nightmare, the sadness, the sexual scenes - they were so perfect. Also good to mention that euphoria is her acting debut!

i’m not and will NEVER be one to compare pain but I do wanna say that she’s always expected to be the one who’s strong that she never really is able to be the one who gets to be in pain or be the one who actually gets to FEEL. she is expected to help OTHERS who are in pain that she doesn’t get to HELP HERSELF. she makes me wanna cry because omg she’s just so amazing and terrifying and she’s everything.
Can’t wait for season 2 to see wat happens I’m excited

Her episode was so good and personally I related to it way more than I thought I would relate to any character and that was really eye opening for me and has me thinking a lot more about myself
Jules was arguably one of the most destructive characters to her self and others but I think she really wanted to have a happy life

I never hated her, I don’t understand why people see her as a villain. Her and Rue’s relationship lacked communication, Rue should’ve explained how she felt instead of putting Jules in that position.

And Rue emotionally neglected her and continued to do drugs behind her back. You can love someone and still make mistakes. Rue gave into her addiction and so did jules because they are just kids who make mistakes.
