- In today's video I am visited by the FPV Police! They school me in the true ways of FPV as I unbox and take a first look at the new frame from Axis Flying - the Manta 5 inch freestyle frame. Please watch to see what my first thoughts are and whether or not this frame is a worthy replacement to my much beloved Source One V3.

Good review mate. One quick point is the fact that the Apex comes with two years warranty and also very durable. Would be good to see how long the Manta lasts.
Yeah you’re right I should have mentioned that! Manta doesn’t have a warranty. I’ll have to see whether the Manta is durable or not, definitely one of the most important things for me. Thanks! 🙏

LMAO dude I love the FPV Police bit, need more reviews like this ! 🤣 The only thing that I'm concerned about is the arm thickness, I think I'm gonna jump the gun and get this frame anyways lol
Yeah same! They look kinda thin and remind me of the T-Motor FT5 arms which just crumbled like biscuits when I crashed it. Definitely need to test it properly before I decide to switch full time.

Don't forget the other 2 screws! That go from the inside down through bottom plate into aluminum plate.

@@fpvwithpatrick just got that frame today from fpvcrate, it's pretty sweet. Came with TPU arm skids, receiver holder, antenna mount, gopro mount. It went together nicely

Kinda want to build this frame with the Tmotor Pacer V2 , a BLHeli32 ESC and F7 FC BF4.3 and expresslrs stuff.
Would like to see how your build flys to get a better idea .
I still haven’t set mine up yet. Sorry man. There’s a few people who fly it though, maybe check out the Axis group on Facebook. Or I think Remcos_fpv and 89_v.i.c on Instagram just got this frame and should be flying it soon

I agree with the Apex being a squeeze, I had trouble squeezing in a two stack config at 20mm.
Mine came without the 20mm stack screws as well which made it annoyingly difficult to build. I'm actually surprised that the Source One is heavier than the Apex considering that I felt it's quite a heavy frame already compared to something like a QAVS. #Thiccbois
I'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't clean their quads and has a mud crab.
Mud crab 😂😂😂 Yeah man I really just can't deal with tight frames like that. Building is not my strong point so I just want it to be as easy as possible! 😂 yep Source One quite heavy although maybe that's due to the wide and tall stature plus the wider arms.
Now that the v5 is out (source one) gonna see what it's got?
Yeah I just heard about that! I’ll wait to see what people say about it first. Might be worth checking. I do love the Source One frames. Cheap and great quality
