Another way to help budget for a trip is to have a "Vacation Sinking Fund" which is what I'm going to start doing in the future! That's like a savings account that's just set aside for trips that you contribute a bit to each month. :)
Indeed, that’s what I was going to suggest! At the beginning of the year I think of the upcoming and recurring expenses (e.g. gym membership of 120€ in September) and then I create a sinking fund for it by budgeting 10€ per month. I do this for all my foreseeable expenses. It completely changed the day-to-day management of my personal finances 😊 I already know which portion of my monthly salary should go into the sinking funds, my savings or my variable expenses
this!! i just reached $1,000 in my vacation sinking fund which feels so amazing. i’m planning on increasing my goal so i can save towards an international trip :)
Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. I’m budgeting for a beach trip with my boyfriend and his family in 2 weeks (the first week in September). Thank you for these tips on budgeting for a trip. Luckily we are all budgeting for this trip and putting money in. 😊 I agree the biggest expense should always be groceries because that’s a necessity. 😊🥰
@hannahashton Hi. I love your lifestyle content and i was wondering if you would mind doing an in depth vid about your new breville . What helped you choose this machine and how do you like it.
