    You're intro got me hooked then the video came, Quick and clear no bs. Came for a good review knowing if i should buy them. Well thanks to you i'm buying them.
    I do think you should at the end of the intro end it with a bang not fade out.
    Sir, you may have my like. Also subbed

    with the athm50 the stock pads have a trebel killing foam in it, if you replace the pads i highly recommend cutting that out and upping it in the new pads. Ath m50 have aggressive trebel thats for sure.

    Excellent vid. Thanks for the assistance in trying these out and sharing your findings with us. They look of far better quality than the OEM pads but you didn't comment on whether
    they alter the sound through the drivers. The material is different, they're plusher, and therefore may absorb sound differently than the pleather ones. I assume there was no change.

    I want to replace the earpads of my m50x but idk which one to buy from pleather, velour to hybrid. I want to have better noise isolation and that can give a tad bit of sound stage. Lesser bass is fine as long as it won't make the sound quality muddy. What would u prefer?

      It's the original source for the product. Of course because it's not being run through Massdrop it is more expensive. :(

      +Rhinofeed Hmm, I'll think I'll skip, but thanks anyway. The main reason I don't use my ATH-M50's a lot is because they're not very comfortable, both on the ears and at the top of the head.

    How does the velour affect the sound at all? you heared a diffrence between velour and leather

    • @DJCosmoDropofficial
      @DJCosmoDropofficial 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Georg Zechozkyy Bigger soundstage. Not much that I've noticed beyond that.

    • @Rottypops
      @Rottypops 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Georg Zechozkyy They actually do effect the sound, because the sound is sealed by a material and that it wasn't designed for. The sound bouncing off the velour would be a different reflection from p-leather. However your/our ears can't distinguish from such subtle differences, so the sound you perceive from the drivers are the same, and the sound bouncing from the velour is so similar it might as well be the same. So p-leather vs velour is essentially the same sound.
      However, they do have a minor-impact on sound leakage, which is a con or plus depending on who you are.
      By sacrificing a little bit of the sound isolation, you get more comfortable, less over-heating experience. Its a nice trade-off, but you have to figure out for yourself if its worth the $20

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Miku Ivalice This were designed to maintain the original sound signature of the M50x, but there is a slight difference. Soundstage is wider and the bass and treble are toned down a bit - midrange sounds more natural and forward as a result. Overall however they are quite similar to how they sound with the stock pads - Brainwavz earpads may be better if you really want to tone down the bass.
      I have mixed feelings for these on the MSR7 though - HUGE soundstage but bass is more rolled off and midrange is sibilant at times (I was never really bothered about sibilance on the MSR7 stock).

    No man you doing it wrong :) When get harder, put three(two) middle fingers under the foam in inner side of pads and stretch it from there. You will see how easy is then :)

      Ronald Castillo same here...I love ath but what I dont get is why they keep on putting these headband cushions that is so easy to break...I dont get it...my earpads are still very fine after 2 years but my cushions on the headband is starting to crack and its annoying

    • @cryptosamgyup
      @cryptosamgyup 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vipe Jay mine too! i think it’s because my room is always in hot temperature and lacks humidity, that caused cracking.. isnit replaceable?

    • @maddingo
      @maddingo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      the headband can be replaced ..but it requires soldering you can order the part from audiotechnia (you maybe be able to have them do the replacement as well..not sure of cost for that)..
      I ordered the part 381303270 from at.. and did the replacement.. I made a video overview of the procedure: (part cost $23.65 and $13 shipping)
      th-cam.com/video/h8cOxJmhm_Q/w-d-xo.html
      alternately another solution is to buy a cheap cover (you can find them on amazon /ebay that zips over the old cracking headband.
      As far as avoiding the cracking...probably using faux leather conditioner will help .. but isn't going to fix already cracked /flaking headbands certainly.

      @PTNOPOT 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are definitely good sound, one of the best I own. If you want to check out some other pads for your M50s, the Brainwavz HM5 pleather pads are great.

      +PTNOPOT Sweet, I'll take note of that. Thanks!

    • @patchespatches688

      +PTNOPOT I don't like the MSR7 pads a lot. They are too shallow. Brainwavz pads is king.

    • @FrankyboyLegend
      @FrankyboyLegend 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +PTNOPOT I was a bit disappointed using these pads on the MSR7. The soundstage is much more open but then the bass is rolled off a lot and the highs and mids are sibilant. I didn't even think the MSR7 were sibilant when I use the stock pads... I think it's because SoundPro pads fit a bit too loosely on the MSR7 - they should make smaller pads.
