The majority of the matches Fernandez played in in the 2022 World Cup making him a 'star' were probably no better than Championship standard. There needs to be a complete reset in people's thinking aboutinternationzl football and World Cups. Were not still in the 1980s when the World Cup genuinely was the zenith of fotball.

Enzo sadly is a the product of the mess that is Chelsea. Poch has completely botched the midfield. It's not just Enzo, but Caicedo as well. Put them in different teams and they have great games. Enzo currently is being utilized to run back and forth and defend and press...rarely having time to influence the game. Caicedo, who at Brighton was utilized to evade that first press and push the game forward.....again is being utilized to do silly work, always looking out of position as well.
Caicedo's just not that good. Him and Cucurella had a good season at Brighton and then they pulled Chelsea's pants down with the fee.
You can say injuries don't matter, and they don't because this was way way outside what is expected from Chelsea, BUT you can make a full 11 of players who were injured for that match, including Enzo who plays through his injury with injections.
Never seen a player have the ball so much be so useless on both ends of the pitch 😂.

Enzo was excellent playing for 2 different Argentine teams that won titles and that got him to Benfica and the National team. He played well with Benfica in the Champions League and obviously played well with Argentina at the world cup….that’s why Chelsea over payed for him. Now explain to me what any of the other players accomplished.
Enzo makes us infinitely worse in midfield, the game against Everton was so much better with Caicedo and Gallagher in midfield.

Enzo is on the same level as a Tielemanns. Good at some things and sometimes can even look great but is not a top player. He doesnt have the athleticism and doesnt read the game well enough. He maybe a Xhaka type player who finally becomes decent at 28, when he matures and gets less responsibilities.
