@@81kingfish 🤣 I still reckon a 4000 is the perfect bay casting sized reel though. Many of the lures are quite small that work and hard to cast any distance on heavier outfits. Especially with an electric where ya can chase stuff when lines getting low. Makes it more exciting hey mate,😜🤣👌🏻
Bloody Epic “I’ll Just put the rod in the holder………” Had some great success with a couple of Halco Laser Pros recently My 10 year old daughter got a 78cm Grey Mackrel and a 65cm Spotted Mackrel a couple of weeks ago My young fella was great on the net getting them into the boat

@ 1: 45 its still a good day when ya still in the boat ... @ 6:00 nothing more relaxing iin life than trying todo some mechanical work ona rocking boat when ya should be throwing a line .. Its so relaxing and a destress mode ...Love the sound of a tight line singing in the slight breeze. GT ....Caranax ignobisis ... Stopp being baby, hand line that braid... around 1997 i had bought some braid for my barra out ift , i took the braid still on spool to work EVERY body said what are you doing with that cotton looks like floss for ya teeth are you mental . I said ill give ya $20 if ya can snap it with bare hands .1 fella the floss went straight to the bone on both little fingers . There was renewed intrest in the 30 lb teeth floss i had paid $80 for 150 meters of 30 lb . Hodgie you are a legend mate that last fish fight ....LEDGEND my man they will sing songs and rejoice when your name is mentioned .... Another great video mate keepem coming ..... i nearly cried at 19:28 .....

The reel breaking has happened to me before all we did was open the bail and then you can add the spool to another reel base as most are generic sizes.
That was bad luck dropping that fish at the last bit of the fight, but look on the bright side Hodgie, you got your jig head back.🤣🤪👍 consider it a win Merry Xmas.

I think the Rarenium was an early C14 constructed reels, nice and light but yeah prone to flexing and breaking.
