Just the muffler mate and didn't affect engine or consuption either... He drive 2 years like that and no problems whatsoever ....It's 2.2 l with double vanos ...
Do most of it yourself, chop the muffler off, get a pipe, nice looking tail pipe and give someone to weld in 3 minutes. Should cost a handful of coins (or free if you've got a friend with welder).
ChiLLaTzE35 The muffler does nothing but restrict, and that includes the air passing through it. I just did a muffler delete on my e46 and guess what, no power loss... Gets to 60 a tad bit faster, honest. Up top it breathes better but down low it may have lost a miniscule amount of torque, we're talking maybe 2lbs/ft. Jokes aside it's nothing you'd notice, not even with a "muffler delete toggle button" to flick it on and off for the ideal black and white experience.
+imadude85 That would only be because the car is so much more fun to floor it in now. ;) But to answer in a more serious way my car before the muffler delete got rougly 33-38mpg because I live out on the country side but do very often drive in the city however a small city so I'd say the average was 35 and that's when I don't baby it and drive it like a normal person would. However, I did a test where I drove it bang on the speed limit all the way including in town where it's always 31mph and 43 out on the country side, I almost never shifted because it's the nicest gearbox and motor in the world where I can go all the way down to 15km/h, roughly 9mph yes you read that right, in 5TH GEAR. And when I did this test I got a solid, believe it or not, 44mpg. So to answer your question, if you drive it like a hoon which you're more likely to do with such a lovely exhaust note, yeah, the mpg's are gonna drop. If you drive it like a saint, even after the muffler delete it'll be just like before the muffler delete :)
That growl sounds insane!!

thank for your answer:)
I have one more question. Here the original headers with cat or no?
So.. you replaced the rear muffler with a pipe? How much did this cost? Considering doing it on my 320i

Follow up question.. Have you had any problems with sound regulations without the muffler?
hi! nice sound!
its m52b20 engine?
are you just removed muffler or did something else?
m54b22
m54b22
did you only delete the muffler?
of the 3 silencers that it brings, how many eliminated?
I have one, i only left the cat on. Hope this helps!
What spoiler is that? A T5i?
any drone?
What type of engine is this? N42 or M54?
4 or 6 pistons?
M54 6 pistons
@@FStan-co8vv are you sure
@@yudistirasatriawibowo7773 yes judging by the sound its very clearly a six cylinder, also it says 320i, which is the 2 liter 6 cylinder.
"Insane" ? :D
Delete Muffler = Delete 30 hp

+Markus Lenner How about your fuel consumption? I've heard people who have done this got reduced mpg.

stfu! less Weight, more Performance!
Not really though... more air = more power if anything but the mod seems to only affect sound.
