- It was the beginning of a BAD EXPERIENCE for us in the Philippines...
Yup, I started having motor bike problems in Labason, Zamboanga Del Norte on New Years Eve. Being exhausted from all our motor adventures across Mindanao, JunJun and I decided to call it an early night. But, we soon found out... more bad motor experiences were about to greet us in the morning! Yup, Jeprox (My Yamaha Aerox) had a full on tire problem. Being in a smaller Provincial area of the Philippines...
Things could be difficult. It can be hard to find parts, and the experience can be frustrating!
BUT NOT ON THIS DAY!! WE DECIDED TO HAVE THE BEST DAY EVER!!
Yup, a bad experience in the Philippines... turned into the best Motor Vlog day ever!

For me this is the perfect example of what new years day should be, a fresh start with a positive outlook where you leave all the problems of last year where they belong... in the past.
Sure, you could have let the problem of a flat tire carry over from the last day of the year into the first day of the new, but rather you let the good vibes carry you along and turned it into a fun experience not only for you, but those around you.
Since 2015 until now I always watched your vlogs. I can't even remember if I missed one. Hahaha. The first video I've watched was the "luthang" a bamboo made gun. And from that moment I subscribed you on youtube and followed you on facebook. Keep on exploring the Philippines and spread the good vibes Kulas. Amping pirmi ug super apir. 🖐️👍🤙✌️

There are times in our lives when things go wrong seemingly unsolvable and suddenly things will turn around and in an unexpected moment and place, a rescue came along - hitched hike - amazing! You ended becoming friends in an unsuspected places - incredible! I like the idea that you utilized your time doing something different - racing with tires while waiting for your tire to be fixed and the people that rescued you became part of the activities - what a day indeed. Tire racing is popular past time activities of children especially in rural areas - reminds me of that time in my life. Despite the "hicup"- flat tire situation, you and Junjun seem to have taken it all - soaking the bad, the ugly and the good - that's life. I also like the idea that you swapped food with the people in the site "bbq against cassava pudding" - I call that "give and take" - symbiosis. What I don't understand was, those two girls that accompanied you going down the falls - they are not suppose to be going with strangers. If that is in America, that is no, no. I hope someone will tell those girls not to escort strangers next time around. I noticed Junjun gave them compensation which is a plus. Another year is over and another year just begun - wish you both Prosperous New Year - I hope you have a good one!

OMG! We used to play that tire thingie when I was little. We used to hit with a short stick coz if you push it with your hands/palm, you will get dirt and your palm would get black from tire particle. One of my fond memories as a child!

I'm recommending the 11 Islands(Onse Islas) as I did previously. Your jumping-off place is Zamboanga City.You make your reservation at the City Tourism Office for a tour of the islands. It's so raw and unspoilt yet.It's not crowded, too. It's completely possible to have the beaches all to yourself.
