It makes the whole experience a bit bearable, you will be able to advocate for yourself and no matter how much they hate us , they respect someone who speaks their language. They are offended by us for not speaking their native language in the their own land. Basetsana be proud of the fact that you had money to move around and look after yourself. I would advise that: DO NOT go to his country with him as a newly wed excited about coming here.
Date for at least three years, visit once or twice to check him out, his friends and living situation.
Thereafter, introduce him to your own network which you MUST at least have prior to coming.

Getting justice will make her feel better about the situation but therapy will definitely help her make peace, release the anger and forgive herself and the perpetrators so definitely, if at all possible , she must push both. Good advice madam speaker and sending lots of love to Basi❤️❤️

After the previous comments, I don't think Bassie will comeback to the comment section.
    But, I hope she does.
    1. 20:55 I love the realisation, it is maturity. Therapy will help you spot these things from afar and protect yourself against them.
    2. 21:54 you were a prisoner of that dream. And needed to be freed from it. You now need to be freed from the dream of ever getting justice.
    3. Therapy helps you realize the part you played in it. Not to cede them off their responsibility. But, to empower you to realize that this can only happen when you permit it, making you the authority of your destiny. You have no power to induce justice, you're once again putting yourself in a situation where you have no power

I have a different take on this. You say the red flags were there and you ignored them. You went back to him twice after all the experiences with him. So at times, things became harder so we can leave and never look back because the universe has a better plan for us. Those people leave them to Karma it will show up for you. When it comes to your police experience am sure the South African police does the the same to foreigners too.

These people literally dehumanized this lady, racists are so scary because it just doesn't make sense to me why the land lord did all this because he clearly doesn't like black people, he should have refused to give her shelter from the start maybe she would have gotten a different place to stay. It's the fact that he thought it was okay for you to live on a place that had a leaking shower maybe I'm an overthinker but he probably didn't see you as human enough to deserve a decent place to shower. I wish you had the strength to leave. I also wonder how your son is right now because it's honestly so traumatic to hear all this now imagine a small boy having to so it happened in time. I hope you heal as well and know that you don't deserve any of it, no one does. ❤
