    In this video I talk about Carl Jung's shocking realization that happened during his near death experience, the equation he made for the psyche in relation to Einstein and his equation is complimentary to the singularity of the big bang and the black holes in the universe!?!

    "You know there are these peculiar faculties of the psyche that isn't entirely confined to space and time. You can have dreams or visions of the future, you can see around corners and such things. Only ignorance denies these facts. It's quite evident that they do exist and have existed always. Now, these facts show that the psyche, in part at least, is not dependent upon these confinements. And then what? When the psyche is not under that obligation to live in time & space alone, and obviously it doesn't, then into that extent psyche is not subordinated to those rules, and that means a practical continuation of life of a sort of psychical existence beyond time & space". - C. Jung

    I've been wrestling with the notion of whether or not Carl Jung was a moral relativist. Joseph Campbell took much of Jung's science into his comparative mythology and talks about how evil is present until one transcends the ego. Campbell also talks about how evil for one isn't evil for another and held Nietzsche in quite high regard. Jung seemed to hold morality into a higher realm in some of his thoughts. Moral relativism would be a good topic to dive into. Thanks for your videos as always!

    • @thomasrohr3130
      @thomasrohr3130 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Jung thought that there was general morality that transcended ur own understanding and cognition, no matter how hard we try we are in some sense play things of the gods ( a puppet controlled by a puppeteer) everything has a balance and as wonderers of the infinite landscape of potential it seems that certain actions regardless of their own “moral relativism” has a rubber band effect, like the very fabric of nature snapping back. Which for me gives the impression of an underlying metaphysics concerning morality.

    • @myfriend280
      @myfriend280 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say Jung’s system can be characterized as Supra-moral.

    You guys should REALLY REALLY check out the book “Quantum Revelation” by Paul Levy whose draws many connections between what Quantum physics is discovering about the nature of reality, teachings from Buddhist philosophy, and what Carl Jung says about the nature of the Psyche and how they are intertwined with each other, as well as the book “Dark Light Consciousness” by Edward Bruce Bynum (who is a psychologist) who draws many connections between Quantum physics, psychology , neuromelanin in the brain and its relation to absorbing light, and the Ancient Egyptian mystery school teachings about Consciousness; and also “The Spectrum of Consciousness” by Ken Wilber 👁

    I thought I should comment because I am currently working on the relationship between conscious meaning in the universe and the mechanics of black holes. Seen from inside (Our Big Bang universe).
    I have been making a bridge between physics and psychology since I first read Jung “Man and his Symbols” 40 years ago. I have been friends with Jordan Peterson for 20 years and wrote the first serious review of his book “Maps of Meaning”.
    Meaning and symbolic processes are not separate from the physical universe of physics. I have been working on the patterns and laws of natural symbolism which it appears was there waiting for humans to advance and read.... the universe is a literary work, and quite obviously a teaching machine information construct.
    Most people have no idea what I am talking about but you and anyone interested in these things may be able to grasp what I am saying. I even have an experimental methodology that I invented to understand the significance of synchronistic events.
    I put up a video yesterday reading a paper from 20 years ago that is predicting much of the intellectual terrain of today. It’s interesting to see all the researchers working on aspects of it, all unknowingly... not seeing the staggering overall theme.
    If you watch the video all the way through and try to understand it, your right brain will be energized and you will forever be changed by it. If you just like neat video I advise you not to watch it. It’s going to open you up to a world view that you may not be able to come back from-including a new definition of god. Who happens to be also you.
    So yeah this was definitely one of my favorite videos ever. The movie Interstellar was based on the exact ideas of my first book where our future selves exist and send meaning backward in time- make a path for us.
    My first book is extremely difficult and long so I am making videos about the 5 papers I presented traveling around the world after leaving grad school before finishing my PhD. Thanks 🙏🏻 🥰
    I would seriously appreciate any comments. It would be extremely helpful to me. I cannot gauge what needs more explanation because it seems so clear to me but I have been studying and working on it alone for 40 years. Thanks so much. You are extremely important to me and the world. More than you know. ❤️👁

    I urge anyone interested in this topic look into panpsychism, as I think it is relevant. I recommend starting with Hedda Morch's 2017 article "Is Matter Conscious?"
    The idea is that physical matter is more like software: a logical and mathematical structure. This software needs some hardware to implement it. Physicists have brilliantly reverse-engineered the algorithms, or source code, of the universe, but left out their concrete implementation: consciousness itself. Hence, that might be why the psyche takes on an infinite value on its intervention in the natural world, and seemingly transcends space/time when we leave our physical bodies (based on Jung's NDE) -- because the psyche is the hardware of the universe!

    • @picasso114
      @picasso114 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very deep. I would think the psyche would be the software as hardware can perish like a body and software can be transferred. But, I can see the psyche as hardware too and software as the physical world constantly receiving cultural updates and nature updating our aging bodies

    Great explanation - this talk condenses so many key ideas into 20 minutes! Wish I had it a few years back, would have saved a lot of reading and head scratching. I am always struck that if we 'look' or 'travel' in any direction, or along any dimension, we always eventually bump up to the event horizon of the singularity (both psychological and physical) i.e. large scale, small scale, back in time, forward in time, etc . It's like the ego is in a bubble of consciousness inside the unconsciousness, and in the same manner we (egoic) are physically in a bubble of space time. Psyche mirrors physics, but how could it be any other way! :-)

    It does seem like a stretch to equate psychology and cosmology, the comparison is weak at best, makes no predictions that could be tested and seems to be a attempt to legitimize one field of study on the back of another. It is odd that psychology would choose cosmology for this endeavor, as Cosmology is the field of science that is the most problematic of the sciences lacking supporting evidence for many of its postulated theories.

And the human mind is very powerful, surely more powerful than we have ever experienced yet, but its power is not unlimited and its space is not zero. Not a big fan of how he broadly throws around the term energy without actually stating what he means by it like psychic energy for instance in relation to Einstein's equation. Is it the total amount of work done/ joules that a persons psyche exerts? I know not to assume psyche is dependant on material constructs like a physical brain and its chemical processes however he does not actually explain how this energy works in relation to physics.

    "A tachyon (/ˈtækiɒn/) or tachyonic particle is a hypothetical particle that always travels faster than light. Most physicists believe that faster-than-light particles cannot exist because they are not consistent with the known laws of physics.[1][2] If such particles did exist, and could send signals faster than light, then according to the theory of relativity they would violate causality, leading to logical paradoxes of the "kill your own grandfather" type.[2] Tachyons would also exhibit the unusual property of increasing in speed as their energy decreases, and would require infinite energy to slow down to the speed of light. No experimental evidence for the existence of such particles has been found."
    funny to read this and think the psyche thinks the psyche is impossible

    • @bootstrapperwilson7687
      @bootstrapperwilson7687 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tachyons could only violate causality if they interact with tardyonic (our) spacetime. Since they do not (they remain totally undetectable), they can quite happily exist in their own entirely separate cosm.

    Intriguing to say the least, however I can't help but wonder about the psyche in all its manifestations, mirroring of itself in what is deemed a singularity yet being an intervention between itself which it is not being outside of its manifestations .. round it goes, giving me pause at the notion of the big bang in its expansion is turning in on itself beyond the event horizon which is deemed impossible/improbable, if not implausible .. .
