- Werewolf by Night is Marvel Snap's newest card, and it might just be Marvel Snap's most broken card. This Miracle Monkey deck can push the wolf to absurdly high power levels while still playing towards its original gameplan too, meaning it could be a scary strong monster in the meta.

Power Estimate: This deck felt absolutely crazy strong through my first 10 games, landing at a 90% winrate at +19 cubes. Werewolf by Night can pump out huge numbers alongside Hit Monkey and Thor, giving this deck multiple ways to win across multiple lanes. I would keep a very close eye on this archetype as more data and refinements come in this week, because it sure feels like it could be a Tier 1 deck.

Who could have expected that a card that scales very fast and can easily dodge Shang Chi and Shadow King would be powerful?

@master9x3r4n_2 He still would've won. Monkey fills left so werewolf won't move, bird moves wolf right, then yellow jacket moves him mid and he still wins but it's 11 to 18 instead of 11 to 20 mid.

@Regis Some information you did not have it seems like: Your units can't be affected by ShadowKing when LukeCage is up. I lost agame thinking it would work. But it doesn't.

Been having a load of fun with him in a surfer/move deck. Werewolf and Kraven can get some silly numbers.
He’s great in my Surf & Destroy deck right now too.
wish the animation for wolf is his hand comes out then leaps to a lane, makes a fracture on the bottom that gets bigger the more power he have

I really had a strong feeling he was going to be a much better version of Silk, and she's quite good, so I'm totally unsurprised. I managed to score him on my first SLC, even, so I'll have plenty going into next season... probably around 5 by the time the first card drops after the next season pass card.
Silk Smoove is really not much on Reveal you must play Aero and other too help him, Move Surfer is better I think

I'm not a Snap genius, I've just done the exact same thing before.
Never been interested in bounce decks, so I never got Hitmonkey, but now I guess i'll have to get it for this deck

Loki is a bounce deck too try Lambys List with Werwolf, really hard to play
Can relate with the stupidity. Whenever I'm learning a new card it somehow consumes all my brainpower and I just forget all the basics of snap.
I've been playing this deck with Kraven and Miles. I dig it !
So glad that I saved my spotlight keys. Even if this card dies out of the meta in a week from now he is just so fun. Plus the cards next month don’t excite me to much so I’m glad I went with Wolf.
I didn't have a fraction of the luck you did, but when it worked it worked. Most of the time I either never drew Werewolf, or my Luke was getting Rogue'd, making Shadow King actively bad. Ill take another run at it tomorrow, I'm sure the problem is me.

They'll likely nerf this card, I've been wrecking with it too in a surfer deck. I think if its effect was just once per turn it would be much better balanced.

A much better nerf would be to make it get +1 power, or it starts as a 3/2 or 1 or 0 and it gets +2
@@darcknesknightby the time you play sandman it's already at 11 power easy lol then add the rest of the turns playing one card each and it's a wrap.....sandman ain't stopping that card

I just pulled Silk (didn’t have) and Werewolf from my only two spotlight caches and I’m stoked
I got nimrod and the ghost spider variant from my only two caches, the complete opposite lol

Have you tested forge as a 1 cost on reveal over either the snowguard or rocket? Just since he can either be played early or late whereas rocket is better played late and snowguard is better played early

I'm loving the deck. I don't have snow guards, so I swapped for forge. Already got 200 sp, while I was one my phone so I didn't have my tracker running, it was stealing cubes left and right. Nj

@@superstarrip1280no. early big-ish power with low-mid potential is noticably worse than early low power with high potential. it will be even more noticable with Limbo's extra turn.

Yesh I watched Cozy test WBN most of the day yesterday on stream and have also watched a few videos before trying him out myself. Imo WBN fits and works really well in a decent number of decks but mostly youll need lower cost on reveals to really ramp him up but in almost any deck you can get him to a 3/7 or even 3/9 fairly easily.
Unfortunately, and especially after the hack job done to MMM (who needed a nerf but not a full on execution), i dont see WBN lasting for long at +2 power per move. I see a weekly OTA that knocks him down to 3/2 or even 3/1 followed by a nerf to +1 power per move, and maybe make him a 3/5, during a major update.
Ofc there are ways to counter and/or play around WBN but imo between the moving and the on reveal abilities of the other cards not actually having to proc for him to move (which could something the devs also change to nerf him) means WBN makes it much harder to use cards like Shang or SK to counter since theres a good deal of guessing/soul reading needed in order to counter WBN.
Personally I'veIe been running WBN in a Surfer deck along with some low cost cards and Sera. Still brewing it up but so far it feels pretty good, maybe not the best deck for WBN but good nonetheless imo.

well, guess its gonna be kingpins time to shine finally as this WBN gets more meta with its insane power.
i played him with kraven so he buff himself and kraven. together with nico, hood and to make room for him carnage and beast. so you can play one of those in a 3 spot location as a 4th, clean the location and make werwolf move there. also carnage is good with hood, forge and nico etc. beast also makes kinda miracle turns for hit monkey like this deck. because with yellowjacket and some 0's (that were 1's but beast) you can scale so fast.
This time, I actually have the new card, got him from a spotlight cache immediately. I love this card

As great as Wherewolf looks, my favorite moment of the video is Regis fumbling at the end, getting the win and then including the video after debating it. Gave me a chuckle.
I got him from the spotlight but i thought he fits well in a move deck which I don't have a good one. But I guess any on reveal works too I guess.
Also werewolf will be needed to a idk 4 or 5 cost with less power probably lol.

I wanted this card because I felt I'd have fun with it. I've already been working with this to find a viable deck and I happened upon a merge of a move and destroy, using Carnage and Venom to clear up space for Werewolf by Night to be able to keep on moving.
P.S. I lack Snowguard and I imagine she's pretty important to the deck, is there anything I might be able to run in her place for now until I can get her?

I've noticed that Werewolf by Night is NOT moving to the area where Hulk Buster is played (Hulk Buster has an on Reveal effect). I think it's a bug.

The shocker sometimes helps for the last turn with hit monkey.
Also wasp is an on reveal then.
But we trade that for high evo in our deck, which is a dead draw.
I think nerfing it to only giving +1 power is a totally nerf, it would still easily get to 9 or 10 power plus whatever move synergy it has
3 cost for 9 or 10 power is still so busted honestly.

@@loganessex699 Don't think so. For Elsa, you want to fill a location. For Werewolf, complete opposite, you need space for him to move.

Granted, doing it that way does mean that Night is the only card that gets the buff, so that combo might not work the best in this deck, but I can see the possibility of it working.
@@loganessex699 That's not how Elsa works. If the card you play in Elsa's lane is not the last card, nobody gets the buff. Read her text. It very clearly says if you PLAY a card to fill a lane. Werewolf moving is not playing, therefore, no buff.

I like iceman, something to possibly slow down the opponent a lil, it has the reveal synergy and its a 1 cost to better fit in to a hit monkey play. Heck, if you have spider ham that could work well too

I think the vast majority of players just weren't as keen on this card because of lack of name recognition, so many people had no idea what was coming. WBN will get nerfed pretty quickly, probably 3/2 with only +1 per hop or something like that
