Dude, I must say your video is one of the best I've seen across all subjects. I just finished my skull based on your step by step process and it turned out great! Thank you for the fantastic detail, excellent camera work and no bs dialog. You rule.
Great video. I tried this method on a mule deer skull and it turned out great except for one mistake. I used a blue SOS pad to clean the skull off right before using the whitening powder and peroxide paste. The raised joint right between the antlers somehow got the blue soap from the SOS pad deep in the bone and stained it blue. I have tried scrubbing it with peroxide for a couple of days with no luck. Any ideas how to remove these deep blue stains?
Good job. Most professional set up ive seen . Industrial shed.good dobble head boiling pots.4 elk on the go at once is a money maker. I'd watch out for the teeth falling through the grate when pressure washing though. Good end product. I do euro mounts and youre shop feels like a slaughter house.easy place to clean and get youre hands dirty. Good stuff
Thank you so very much for your informative video. What have you found the advantage to be using the peroxide boil/bath as opposed to coating the skull with a 12 percent peroxide cream ?
I have a scull that's turned gray. I think this happened from a degreasing agent I used. What would you suggest for reversing this problem and returning the scull to white? I've been trying hair bleach and it doesn't seem to be lightening.
What causes teeth to come out ? I've tried to never over boil or go over 185 and seems to happens more often than not. I super glue back in, but it sucks
From what I know, it’s not so much the temp of the boil or anything, but some deer just have looser fitting roots on their teeth and they just come out
@@HgielDarb Yes and no. tough to bring together with out something else shifting. depends on your space. very gently. i would use clear epoxy and clamps. slowly crank in. use soft rags towel so clamps dont dig in. good luck
If you slap a zip tie around his nose while he dries it'll pull that nose back together in the middle. I do it on my whitetails.
what a setup. literally every single detail in equipment and workspace. sure wish i had that kind of setup money
Most professional video I've seen on the subject.
Thank you!

Pro tip: Keep your mouth closed while doing the pressure washing. Those bits go a flyin
I’m glad it worked out well for you! Thank you
10-4 do you sell mounts?
Pretty fascinating process. I am really impressed by how clean your shop is.

Thank you! The grate is removable for when teeth fall through. Our boiling process is done in a slaughter house, it is very convenient.
Looks good , just trying to get my antelope skull cleaned up
Could you tell me where to find those pots please!!! I want!!
Great job. Thanks for the detailed and concise instructions.
What are the measurements for these pots they look like perfect size.
Good job. what are the dimensions of your pot? where could I get one?
Great. I think I'm going to do a European next year if I get a chance.

The boil is a quicker method and is extremely convenient for doing large quantities of skulls at a time.
So after the second dip and you let it sit overnight you didn’t spray it off again? 😊
Nope, I did not spray it off again. After it dries it is finished.
@@mtoutdoorz won’t the peroxide eat away the mount?
Excellent video! Cheers!

Where did u get your pots

I got two white-tail deer I'm gonna do this with. I'd assume the times are a bit different, as deer skulls aren't quite the size of elk?
The time does vary, elk typically take quite a bit longer since they are much larger than a deer.
