very interesting veeeerry interesting Cant wait to see how this goes only one bit of advice so far you do have a tendency sometmes to let research slip and suddenly OMG mark needs artillery and hes behind by 1-2 iterations but didnt research earlier because didnt really see a need for it. Dont do that this go around Get WAY ahead of the game jump a year ahead if you have to, when the brits are still building biplanes have volvo pumping out spitfires and mustangs, jump ahead so when the time comes to build youve got advnaced designs waiting for the industry thats it for now viva la nordland 😸
When it comes to research its always a zero-sum game - to get ahead in one area you have to fall behind in another (unless you have 5 research slots from early game) so I always go for what my strategy requires first and then have to catch up everything else later :)
Last time I played Sweden it still had a generic focus tree. it is very interesting to see how much the game has changed and became more complex. I recall switching ideologies was dead easy and you could do it multiple times during one game. All you needed was an advisor of appropriate conviction and a little time. Civil wars or unrest were not even a mechanic.
Civil wars were DEFINITELLY a mechanics. I remember how you needed to conquer Sweden in a coup when you played as Fashist Sweden, and then UK declared war on you for not embargoing Germany. Country was in pieces after civil war no weapons no manpower and aggressive UK nearby.
@@raghardeishi972 maybe they were, but it was so easy to avoid them, they might've not existed. I did a successful playthrough as Poland, first going fascist, taking over Soviets, then switching communist, defeating Germany and finally going democratic and ending up owning whole of Europe and good chunk of Asia and Africa. All without a single civil war.

The new focus tree is amazing, it's filled with good stuff!
