Same for me, this was my very fist snowboard. It was nice to see you ride it. The biggest nostalgia for me was the point of view of the rider getting on the chairlift. It brought me back into a time bubble and I could re-live the feelings I had when I was riding it myself. Thank you for that.
So awesome to see someone ride this snowboard again. This was the very first board I bought with my hard earned money at 14 years old. It is so cool to see the same "break-out" of the back as I have experienced back then! Keep shredding!
That was great, don't think you would have been able to ride that board at Copper Mountain in 1989, pretty sure snowboarders were banned back then, and a lot of other resorts too.
That is so insane you put Step Ons on a 30+ year old board..... and at the same time so awesome! Great to hear you enjoyed riding it so much. I do still remember riding back then. The stances were sooooooooo narrow compared to what we ride today. Watching you ride it I couldn't stop thinking how weird it looked. That is truly a piece of history you were riding. Thanks for sharing some of your day. Pretty cool to see some of the "famous" people you run into out there. 😎👊 Keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤️🏂 Randy
Yeah it was interesting to see an old board with new bindings. The stance felt a little weird but surprisingly wasn’t hard to ride. Hitting little bumps and trying to pop felt weird though. Fun weekend for sure!
@@themidwestshredder Definitely jealous seeing you ride all those great resorts but, I'm grateful for every day of riding I get no matter what the conditions! Very much looking forward to getting the new Step On system dialed in and riding the mountain! 😃👍❤🏂
@@themidwestshredder I have couple old boards I bring out off the wall sometimes: Apocalypse Pinto, Morrow Slick Fty2, and a Lamar Hetzel. They rip. :)
Hi Jake, sorry but unfortunately I don’t have any updates on them. I planned to ride them more, but work has kept me pretty busy. With the limited time that I’ve had, I just preferred to ride the Burton Step Ons.
Hi Mark, unfortunately we didn’t get any powder while I was in CO. I love that hometown hero though. Turns on a dime, carves well, rides well switch, and is even great in the park. A board that can do everything.
Great vid! I just pulled out my Cruise 165 from its case and had both bindings break to pieces in my hands. I wanted to ask which of the binding adapters you mention in the comments (Shred Bone and FB Vintage Snowboard plate) allow for stance width adjustment. Have you tried both?
The vintage snowboard plate is the one where you can mess with the width. The shred bone works with Asymmetrical Burton boards. The vintage snowboard plate doesn’t. They each have their thing.
There's a guy on ebay that sells those plates. They're called Shred Bone. Look that up on ebay. There's another guy on IG who makes his own set as well. I forget what they're called. His IG is @davebpure. You can message him.
Look up the The Shred Bone on eBay. A guy from Wisconsin makes the adapter plates. There is also one called the vintage snowboard plate on Facebook. Look them up 👍🏽

Seeing you ride StepOns on that classic board is a nice contrast!
There is something cool about seeing the slick design of the Step On mounted on this cool Classic! Thanks 🙏🏽

Such great content! Great to see someone so stoked on the sport.

Great video! Your smile the whole time on that board was awesome. 👍😀
Thank you 🙏🏽 I had a blast riding this thing. I can’t wait to ride a bigger board when I go back. Those older, longer boards must be rockets.

Thanks again Adam! 🙏🏽
Super bad ass!

"Pretty rough" - that was an understatement! 😂 So cool that you were able to use your Step On with them! Did you end up selling it to Gravitee?
Man you just made me laugh so much 😂 so funny! The edges were good as new after he ran them through the machine though 🤙🏽
Hey, nice video, any recent update on the Clew?

Hang on! Tell me more about the Hometown Hero!! Did you rate it? Try it in powder? Amount of setback if you did? So many questions! 😅

Fantastic, thanks so much@@themidwestshredder ...I've connected with the VSP folks and will get one!
Question about your camera set up! What are you running!? It looks great
Hi, I used the GoPro for part of it and a insta360 during the parts I was riding.
@@themidwestshredder that’s what it was. Lots of people using those insta360’s as of late! Cool!

Very rough for sure. Looked liked it was tough to carve, lostsa slide turns.. needs magnatractraction .
It was still a blast to ride 🤙🏽 Some areas were really icy so the board definitely held its own. Magnatraction would’ve helped a lot for sure!
