I’m not sure if your at episode four of season five yet but they mention it and how it affects her then and they go a little more into depth as the episodes go on.

Apparently in the 6th season bughead will get back together, normally with shows that run as long as this one they need something to spice it up, and a lot of people like to phrase it as “it’s much more interesting watching people fall in love then be in love” so splitting varchie & bughead will give them the chance to write in their love story again, meaning most likely we will watch both of them fall in love again

My emotions are ROLLING whenever I watch the show. Like, I want Jughead and Tabitha to be happy, but at the same time I still ship Bughead and I feel like Betty needs him so she can cope with her trauma. And yes, I know that Betty was part of Jugheads trauma, but in that scene where he’s getting rid of his writers block, you can see in his eyes that he feels some type of way for her. It may not be how it was before, but it’s there. I’m sorry, I’ll stop rambling-

i'm tired of betty hooking up with archie it's like archie is obsessed with betty now i just wish that betty and jughead were together like does betty not want jughead anymore i mean what the heck is going on i mean archie are you trying to take betty form jughead or something and betty stop hooking up with archie it's getting really ridiculous.
Honestly I think they will stop the hookups considering what Betty told Archie about how her darkness would take him over, and I feel Archie is gonna be loyal to Veronica this time because he knows how life is without her. Both times Betty and Archie kissed pre season five was when Betty was in a vulnerable place. And the reason why they became friends with benefits is because Betty needed a distraction from Polly going missing again. Anything beyond a sexual relationship will be beyond forced at this point. And I'm sorry, but you are in denial if you think that the cheating storyline was anything more than an excuse to break the two main couples up before the time jump.
